South Tynedale Narrow Gauge Railway, battery powered shows off South Tynedale Railways two narrow gauge battery electric locomotives. The locomotives are named Newcastle and Carlisle and both were in use on service trains. Newcastle started the day off but developed a compressor fault. Carlisle took its place for the remaining sevices. South Tynedale Railway is the highest narrow guage railway in England, wand is one of Britains great little narrow gauge railways. South Tyndale Railway has its headquaters at Alson in Cumbria, were most journey's start and finnish.
