The Best Beamish Steam Gala Yet: Is It True?

Wheels of Industry Beamish Steam Gala 2024. Beamish Open Air Museum held its annual Steam Gala over the 6/7th April 2024. Lots of steam traction engines at Beamish from the usual manufacturers, Fowler, Aveling & Porter, Foden & Sentinal to name but a few. There were cars as well as motorbikes. In the colliery steam trains shunted coal wagons and the narrow gauge railway ran from the colliery to the Pockerly waggon way and back. Meanwhile Puffing Billy recreated the dawn of railways along the waggon way. The added bonus is that you buy a Beamish unlimited ticket and can come back as much as you want for the next year. So sit back and watch all the traction engines at work.

The engine that you failed to Identify is the Tasker Convertible Tractor Wanderin Willie. Its works number 1911 and was built in 1924 and supplied new to Aberdeen County Council. It was presented at Beamish with Tasker Tipping Trailer, that it was supplied new with.
