    Chemical spore. I love those clamps. Get the tool and erase decades of hate that we both had. And dont use rtv on machined surfaces unless damaged . It makes.010 -.040 plus uneven surface increasing wear on the water pump bearing. ❤

    Great video i liked the explination and the walk-through only thing that i would chnage is to compare the water pumps inside. And make sure they are flowing the same way. I one had a tracher that has worked on mustang all his life, and he never checked the flow of the water pumps but the firstt time he did he noticed that it was supposed to flow the opposite way. But the water pump was the exact same on the outside.

    • @chemicalspore

      Thanks, It did not cross my mind about a reverse flow problem. Plus I worked on this car for free. Belongs to my friends, girlfriend. They bought the parts and I just put them in. Also replaced the thermostat housing.

    Awesome video and good work, but those screw clamps will cause issues. the spring clamp is there for the the hoses to expand and contrast and stay tight. the ones with the screw wont allow that and cause it to eventually blow up. good video but bad call on the clamps

      If the bearings are shot and it's putting too much resistance on the belt it could be possible, but highly unlikely, pop the belt off a pulley and give things a spin by hand, you'll know right away if there's a problem.

    • @chemicalspore
      @chemicalspore  Год назад +1

      Take the belt off the pump and turn the pulley. If it squeaks it needs repacing. Also check the thermostat housing. If you have a mustang this year or similiar, the are notorious for leaking from thermostat housing. I ended replacing both on this car.
