This was a helpful review and I watched several so far on this one and your was the best. Good job and thanks
You are very welcome!
Bomb review as always
Thanks!
Between this DIAL2 vs the GIANO wich is better?
I like you review, specially the ruler test. Do you know what brand has the less wobble/wave issue?. Sry for my english :)
Wacom maybe but I’ve seen wobble on those too.
Can you use one of the dials to rotate the image and the other one to zoom in and out? Also does the cursor show up before the nib touches the tablet surface? Or only when it touches
The cursor would be just slightly before the nib touches the tablet. For the rotate, its possible but depends on software. Like you can do brush size because there are two keys involved.
since you have used both dial 2 and giano which one do you prefer for sketching like a larger size one or medium one which is more comforting
I think it depends on how you draw, wrist vs arm. It also matters how much you value the dials vs the drawing space. The pen performance is the same. If you are using a large display, that might be a factor too.
@@CreateNowSleepLater I have always used a small tablet bt it kind of cramps my hand I draw with wrist bt for creating big shapes I use palm it's just the price difference between them isn't much and I have a 24 inch monitor will upg to 27 inch in future and if we ignore the dials what will be your suggestions then medium size or large?
I mean you can’t ever go bigger so go for the larger one then.
@@CreateNowSleepLater thank you
I suppose this might be on the mind of some viewers, but why is it you can't use the knobs to say twist the canvas (different angles), I bet that would be amazing, to be able to twist one of the dials and easily change the angle of view of the paper and draw without twisting the wrist too much... or am I alone in thinking this? >_
There is a customize the feature option, I don’t have the driver loaded currently but I thought you might be able to do it there.
Not going to lie, when I saw the Dial on a Huion Tablet in their video
It boosted a bit of my hopes to seeing it on a Pen Display
Xppen has a dial on some of the ones I reviewed. Huion usually does the slider.
@@CreateNowSleepLater I actually had an Artist 15.6 Pro but the issue with the Pen Display excluding the Dial design was the pressure
In some cases, the pen would create random no-pressure spots randomly with the pen tip gliding along the screen without pressure input. I like the Huion Pro Pen Displays and touch stripe but the Pen Cursor was the main issue I had which made me switch to a Huion Kam. 13 (2021)
Oh good at least you found something that worked for you.
i got the dial 2 and im going to send it back...photoshop ignores my tablet settings...ignores the pressure sensitivity settings....also i cant set it to rotate the entire image in photoshop .....useless.
Thats weird, havent seen that before. I suppose it could have been a driver issue. Did you reach out to Huion about it?
Pressure levels in pens are almost a meaningless number at this point as anything over 2400 is likely going to satisfy most, if not all users and most far exceed that now anyway. Totally not criticizing you for mentioning it as I totally get it that there are still lots of young artists out there that want to know that number. My big thing is still the pen line quality on the device (does it fish hook on fast line strokes and does it wobble horribly with slow and deliberate lines. Then of course,... the tactile feeling on that device's screen.
Right, I's say the diagnal line test is the one where I see wobble on almost anything anymore. I've seen it even on Wacom devices but I can't tell when I'm actually drawing. I agree on the pressure, we really have gotten to a point with EMR where its not going to get much better. Thats why these companies are coming up with different features (like the twin dials). Apples doesn't even tell you their pen pressure on iPads. It could be as low as you mentioned but it doesn't matter.
Bullshit. If you draw comic books or other dumb crap then maybe...
