  • Spicy, flavorful, chatpati tomato chutney that elevates taste of every food!

    Ingredients for tomato chutney:
    Tomatoes 500 g
    Oil 2 tbsp
    Whole red chili (2)/ Red chili powder Hot 1/2 tsp
    Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
    Asafoetida, a pinch
    Curry leaves 5-7
    Tamarind paste 1 tsp/lemon juice 1 tbsp
    Kashmiri red chili pwd 1tbsp
    Turmeric pwd 1/5 tsp
    Fenugreek seeds 1/4 tsp
    Jaggery 2 tsp
    Salt 1 1/2 tsp
    Tips for making chutney
    1. You may use 1 tbsp lemon juice if you do not have tamarind extract.
    2. All spices are to be roasted at low heat.
    3. Add only very little quantity of fenugreek powder else chutney will taste bitter.
    4. Chutney stays good in refrigerator for a month. Store in an airtight container and always use a dry spoon to take out a portion of chutney.
