Dr. Burkart, what about EMF radiation pollution? We live in a town house about 300 yards from transmission lines. EMF radiation in our house is 25 milligauss at all times. What are long term effects of such an exposure? We plan to move by the end of this year because of that, my kids are 9, 7 and 3 year old. Thank you.

I am 70 yrs old and I have loads of Electronic Computers, etc and my Radiation Detector says it's at a Hazardous Level. I eat food I prepare from Scratch. I have never had Cancer. The Air is full of Light Particles at every Wavelength, which is What Electromatic Radiation is. You cannot get away from it, wherever you go. On top of a Mountain you get Radiation from the Sun. It does not appear to have done me any Harm !!!

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us Dr. Burkart. I quit smoking 8 months ago, and have been trying my best to clear up any additional toxins in my life. The less stress on my lungs (while they heal) the better. I realize the damage is done, but I will still do all of what you are suggesting here to help my lungs heal. I also knit and crochet which means I am in contact with thousands of meters of acrylic and polyester fibres (depending on the yarn I am using) and it's right upfront and personal, right infront of my face and nose. I always notice that I can get a stuffy nose from knitting - and it's not because my head is lowered for a prolonged period of time... it's because of the thousands of nano fibres and plastic particles I am working with and manipulating right below my respiratory system. I never get a stuffy nose or irritation when I am knitting with 100% natural fibres like wool or cotton. Is there research on this? Most "Micheals" yarn (100% of it) is acrylic and polyester and the most commonly used - also most economic for most crafters. Siting down and knitting or crocheting for hours every day is just crazy to think about how much is inhaled. This is potentially a huge issue I think - the knitting/crochet community is large and growing and this is super important information for them!

The used jackets have off-gassed most the smell and even then I wear them on special occasions. I keep them in garment bags with a box of baking soda at the bottom of the bag. Same here, parfumista, incense lover, love to the smell of my fabric softener when I get home. In love with the luxury hairproducts from my hairdresser because they smell heavenly.
This is not going to be easy.
Plus it's the holiday season and I love burning candles these darker days here, northern hemisphere.

I heard it is very difficult to make black dyes for clothing and I saw a documentary of people in Bangladesh getting cancer from making the black colour for fabric dyes, as well as loosing their legs hair from working inside of chemical pools, i was in sock after watching that documentary.
