Got a question? Check this first! 👇
📌 *What is an increase?* An increase is simply two single crochet stitches into the same place :-)
📌 *HELP I CAN'T CROCHET!* If you haven't crocheted before I have videos for the individual stitches themselves so you can master them before leaping into amigurimi 😀👉
    ruclips.net/video/Jvm_q9Uvfd8/видео.html
📌 *How do I make a giant bee like the one on TikTok?* Follow this pattern; the only difference is the yarn thickness! If you want a big bee, use fatter yarn and a larger hook. No need to add extra stitches or double the pattern.
📌 *You are going TOO FAST!* You can slow the speed of the video yourself - this video shows you how 😀👉 ruclips.net/video/LIRYwkkI_4Y/видео.html
📌 *I'M STRUGGLING, IT'S A MESS!* Don't panic. Crochet takes time and practice to master. Your first few items will look a bit crappy but THAT'S OK! Your stitches and ami projects will drastically improve very quickly if you practice! You got this :-)
📌 *Do you have any more amigurumi videos?* Yes I do! I have a playlist of my videos here: ruclips.net/p/PLP0pPGx0kI89wo37UkF-oPWtwmubjryvi

I have never crocheted before but I know I NEED to make this bee
Update: I made my mom drive me to Michael's and we got the supplies
Update: I realized that I got the fluffy yarn instead of the thin kind. It's impossible to see the stitches
Update: I'm too lazy to buy new yarn so I'm using the fluffy kind. It's impossible to pull the magic circle closed with the fluffy yarn so I had to start over and make the circle super small
Update: I only have black buttons for the eyes. The mouth and cheeks are crooked.
Update: I switched colors and the black fluffy yarn is even harder to see than the yellow. I'm literally just poking my hook into random places and hoping it's right. *contemplating weather to give up or not*
Update: I must have missed a few stitches because the bee is getting skinnier and skinnier
Update: I stuffed the bee with some stuffing from a broken pillow
Update: I have finished the bee body and the bee looks like a literal cone. The head is huge and the body stops at a point at the end.
Update: My sister thought the bee was hilarious and laughed at me T_T
Update: The white fluffy yarn I'm using to sew the wings is shedding like crazy. My whole room is covered in white fluffs
Update: One wing is bigger than the other and I don't know why *CRY
Update: I finished the bee and gave it to my mom. SHE said it was CUTE! LOL
Update: Mother has the bee on her desk. She seems to like it.
I'm gonna try to make it again 😄
Update (1-13):I made it again with fluffy yarn and it came out really cute! It's a a little long so I might change the pattern a bit.
Update (2-12): I made the bee again using my altered pattern and it's SO CUTE! I wish I could add a picture :(
Update (3-12): I started a knitting and crochet club at my school and it's a hit! I'm pretty decent at crocheting now. This bee was my very first project!

    I learned it's ok to...
    Mess up
    Be slow
    Start over
If you're stressed just take a break. You can always come back later and continue.
If you mess up you can always take it apart and try again. Or. You can figure out what's wrong and go back to fix it.
You can always practice without trying to make anything and take it apart when you feel confident doing it again!

Did I know how to read a crochet pattern? Negative.
Did I assume my knitting abilities could possibly transfer over? Foolishly yes.
Did any of these things stop me from buying crochet supplies, going through my yarn stash and learning how to make this? Nothing stopped my persistence.

Robin, thank you for this tutorial. I have been crocheting for 60 years now. This week I will be teaching my grandkids to crochet so I asked them to look for a project they want to make & they decided on your bumblebee!! This is a great first project!! They will learn several stitches (sc, hdc, dc, inv dec, and inc stitches ). They will also learn to attach safety eyes, sew embellishments using yarn & needle, sew on wings, when to strategically stuff the bumblebee as it is made, and the finished project will be a fun adorable bumblebee they will love and be proud of! Great project for a beginner! Thank you for a great pattern & tutorial!!

You delivered big time. I decided I wanted to teach myself crochet and just happened upon this. Your video walked me through every step and having a magic ring, chain, single crochet, invisible decreases, increases, half double crochet, and double crochet, all in one easy to digest video, was genius. My wings need a little work (well, my whole bee does) but I am super delighted with my first attempt. Big thanks to you for taking the time to create this video.

The only hiccup I had was with the eyes, I wasn’t able to find doll eyes in any shop in my area, so if anyone else has this trouble I recommend that you crochet your own by adding six single crochets in a magic ring, fasten it and then sew it onto your bee. Raffy Morgan also just make sure your counting the stitches at the beginning and make sure you have number that is supposed to be in the round :) that’s where stitch markers come in handy, so you don’t lose we’re your round ended and where your new round of stitches begin :)

I have tried to crochet a few times in the past and could never really get the hang of it.
Since finding your channel, I have been slowly crocheting and I am so proud of myself. Thank you for being so amazing and such a great teacher. You are the best teacher I have found so far. ❤

If you want him bigger then using thicker yarn (or 2 strands held together) and a larger hook should upscale him! 🐝
