      Thank you so much for your tutorials!! You have taught me to crochet!! My first project was the mile a minute scarf with the puff stitches, it turned out beautiful and I gave it as a gift. My new fascination is amigarumi, I am going to be doing this adorable octopus as my first one.

    i’ve never crocheted before in my life and after 2 days i sit here with a completed octopus friend, his head is smaller n floppier due to stitches skipped/repeated since i’d chosen a fuzzy yarn for my first project n couldn’t see very well :,^) but your explanation was so easy to follow this octopus is adorable and coherent anyway, i wanna make 20 more thank you for your crochet wisdom and guidance

    This was a great tutorial. I was taught to knit and crochet by my mom about twenty years ago. I stopped after she passed away and this video has inspired me to start crocheting again. I completed this project and my daughter loves it,

      i don’t have a stitch marker so i use a stray piece of yarn of another colour to mark out my stitches :D

    About a year or so ago i started crocheting and my very first *finished* project was this octopus, and it came out exactly like i wanted it, it was easy to follow, made perfect sense, and honestly ive made so. Many. More. And still going. Thank you for the amazingly easy to follow tutorial!!

    I just finished this and it was perfect. This was my first time making this and only my second finished crochet project. You were so detailed! I made some mistakes along the way but I appreciated you telling us how many stitches we should have on each row. That helped me keep track. I plan on making more of these with different thread.

    When you started with "now make 6 more of these and we'll sew them together!" I died a bit (I hate sewing). Then it was actually just crocheting them in a line. I was much more pleased and this tutorial is FANTASTIC and I made an adorable little cotton octopus for my friend's dog. She'll love him :) (but damn, my hands are not happy I used cotton :P).       Did you get a rash on your hands from cotton yarn? Maybe that's what my problem is lol Sometimes when I crochet I get some sort of rash on my fingers🤨🤷‍♀️

      @@joeraber8473 oh no! :( I don’t actually, but I work with my hands and lift so they’re pretty strong?
      I wonder if you tried using those little thin compression gloves and that would help?
      Have you only noticed with the cotton yarn and never acrylic or wool?? I also never did the entire octopus at once. I don’t have that much time in a row 😂 but I’ve found I do love crocheting with cotton (I’m in Canada and has the Bernat Handicrafter 100% cotton)

      @@joeraber8473 oh. That’s sad if that’s the case. Are you doing it for many many hours? My one finger I wrap twice for amigarumi projects to keep it tight and it can get a little irritated, but I’ve never seen any projects. Maybe you have a sensitivity to fabrics??

    I just learned to crochet last week and was able to do a baby octopus. My daughter was so happy and asking me if I can make a mama octopus and this is definitely the one I found that is very very detailed and instructions aren't hard to follow! Thank you!

    You probably have the most perfect tutorials, very descriptive and easy to follow along. I made this one with Premier Parfait Chunky yarn, instead of doing 10 rows for the body, I did 6 rows and it turned out lovely. Thanks so much!!!

    Thank you so much! I have just finished one happy Kawaii Octopus as my present to the 2nd birthday of my first granddaughter. This is my 1st time crocheting during this retirement period of mine.     I did it! I successfully made my own little guy! I wasn't sure my short, stubby fingers were going to be able to handle amigurumi, but *really* wanted one of these little octopuses, so I buckled down & tried it and I'm so proud of how cute he turned out!

    My aunt taught me to crochet back in elementary school but once I got to middle school school became so much that I stopped. Now I’m a junior in high school and want to start again your videos have inspired me to start crocheting again thank you and my aunt is going to buy me new hooks since she took mine.

    I’m an extremely competent knitter, I thought I’d have a go at crochet and this was the fist thing i tried, it looks exactly like yours. I took it to work to show my colleagues who can crochet (I work In HobbyCraft), they knew I couldn’t crochet so we’re amazed when I produced this, even commenting how tidy and extremely neat and even it is.     Is it just me or does it feel like she has a new pair of scissors for each project?! Haha! I love these amigurumi projects! I think with all the videos I’ve watched I’ve made 3 bees, 4 jellyfish, and 3 octopuses, about to make another octopus! This channel has really inspired me to crochet so much more! I love it and I learn so much from it!

    Tutorial was excellent as a new crocheter I never thought it would be possible but your instructions were ace so much so I made one like yours then used a super chunky yarn and made a huge octopus !! Thanks for helping me crochet !!

    I really appreciate that you don't zoom through the rows. And that we can still see what you're doing even midway through the row (especially while doing invisible increases as those are new to me). I would be nice to have some light quiet music or something in those parts though. I keep thinking my sound is being wonky though. Lol

    I can’t believe I did my first big Amigurumi plushy I used Big Twist Living is the color I love doing Amigurumi in plush they feel better thank you for your directions your an awesome teacher

    Thank you so much for sharing. I made a little friend for my niece and it turned out gorgeous. Also the tip with staggering dcs and incs is golden! I wish I knew this earlier, cause this is bothering me with many of my old projects. I will never go back even if instructed otherwise. Then last but not least the twist in using invisible dcs makes it perfect. Thank you ❤️🐙
