    If you don't have safety eyes, make a magic ring, then insert 3 single crochet and tighten. Sew it on and if you want you can sew on pupils with a separate color. I made my whale with black as the main color, so my eyes were white and I added a little black pupil. I hope this helps!

      Hi did you making two magic ring circles of different colours on top of each other or did you just switch colours while making the eyes?

    • @kaitlyn_beneteau
      @kaitlyn_beneteau 3 года назад +9

      @@tanyaaggarwal7582 I suggest waiting until you stuff and finish the whale and then add on the eyes.
      I sew on the main eye first (the magic ring) and then with a different color i sew on a pupil over top of the main eye. Over all, you only make 2 magic rings and you add 2 pupils (one for each eye). I hope this answered your question!

This is the greatest tutorial I could have ever imagined and I now have a grey and white button eyed whale called Wilson, and I wish I could show you the result, to show you how great your video is to have allowed a complete novice to make their first amigurumi. Hello fellow people! One thing that happened to me was I forgot where I was, like if it was an increase or a single crochet for example. I dont know if it has happened to other people but if it does, heres a suggestion!:
    write down at with sticth you are gonna make or have done, like if you've made a increase you can write down increase and if you forget you can just check and remember: right! now I gotta make a single crochet!. Maybe it adds to the time but I find it quite helpful!
    it really helped me alot, I hope this can help you too!

    Thank you so much for this wonderful, easy to follow tutorial!! My mom and grandma taught me to Crochet when I was very little, starting about 6 years old. It has been almost 2 decades since I have crocheted, and now I'm 2 weeks in making little odds and ends to remember and practice my stitches. My kids are SO excited! They are learning to Crochet now and have a running list of requests for me to make. They saw your whale and chose it over pages of others and I am so glad they did! I can't believe I was able to finish in just 2 sessions thanks to your awesome video. Thank you so so much. They are going to be thrilled when they see their whales. They turned out so beautifully 😍 🎉
    Your pace was perfect (I slowed down to .75 as I'm not quite able to keep up yet, and paused as needed and worked great! Not too fast, not too slow, and you explain very well where to place each stitch, stitch marker, the fins and tail, eyes, etc.). I also appreciate your camera angles and how you don't cover up the important bits or cut out parts!
    I used Bernat "bundle up" in Beluga (fitting 😅) for the body and Big Twist "Living" in Snow White for the flat tummy. It is so soft and squeezable I'm going to make myself one too!
    I think I might try making a big momma whale using the chunky chenille yarn as well. ❤ Can't wait to check out your other tutorials 😊
