Hi Grant…and congratulations. I think “Fat Giraffe” is bound to be your “donut” tutorial. Someone had to do this, and I’m glad it was Grant Abbitt. Generally speaking, though, grabbing a giraffe for any reason can be dangerous. Thanks 🙏🍺🎩🎩🎩
Yes to painting tutorial! And how about a tutorial on turning it into a real-time ready character with simple rig? Like baking hires textures/normals, retopologising and using those textures + adding basic rig/idle anim.
It's quite a rotund giraffe if I do say so myself. The chubyness definitely adds a layer of cuteness to an otherwise ordinary animal. Great video as always
Grant ı cannot thank u enought for all of ure amazing video's i've been following u so long time and after i watched all ure videos improved allot in blender first it was just an hobby but then i got my first order from an client... The first money that i will earn from the project i will donate to u man apreciate allot 🙏🙏🙏🌸
Would be happy for a texture painting tutorial. Maybe even retopology for games too? I know you got the Axe series for stuff like that, but this is organic 😜
Hi there I saw the video of cleaning normal maps, but how to do it within blender, you showed it only in substance painter.i hope you will make a video about it.
Brother I m from India and very huge fan of ur teachings, plz do detailed tutorial on grease pencil 3d drawing & camera mapping, plz when u teach I understand completely, thank u🙏
I would love to see this same beginner type video with a "hand-cam" view (top down) of your hands using your graphics tablet + keyboard while you sculpt. I am comfortable with Blender controls while modeling, but not so much with sculpting. I get lost real quick with the controls. Now, the screencast keys helps, but seeing you actually use the hardware would be exponentially more helpful. My two daughters are very good with graphics tablets, but only create 2D digital art because they have never used a robust 3D software like Blender. I keep telling them to watch your sculpting tutorials, and they do... but get lost instantly because of the hybrid tablet+keyboard workflow that they can't adjust to. A nice basic sculpt like this Giraffe (and possibly texture painting it also) with included hand-cam footage would be a wonderful gift to us parents trying to introduce 3D art to 2D kids =) --> With all that aside, I just want to say THANK YOU for all that you do for the digital art community. I've learned so much with you over the years and am truly grateful to have found you! You deserve MILLIONS of subscribers =)
Question - Will there be any issues using Blender 3.0 to do this tutorial? For beginners, can we use tutorials for 2.8 / 2.9 without too much problem? Just starting out with Blender one step ahead of my students. Your tutorials look super helpful! Thanks
The head of my giraffe looks so wonky X D But: I really like this easy modelling introduction and tutorial. So far Im still trying a bit your "hunchback torchlight guy meats gorilla monster" one. But I wanted to get a little break from it. You have my subscription and my like! I really thank you for the effort you are putting into these. And not placing them behind a paywall. That way everyone can try and look into it, if it is even something one can handly and will like. Im now continuing my monster giraffe with many birth defects X D
Is it normal when I use the tools like Snake Hook and don't see an immediate effect until I move my pen far enough? From your video, it seems the displacement happens the moment you drag the pen across. The delay makes it more prone to error on my end and several CTRL- Z fixes.
Need help . How create characters like Cocomelon Nursery Rhymes . And is it better in blender or maya like speed modeling riging animation and render quality
Grant i have a problem whenever i try to sculpt. the veiwport becomes laggy (i mean very laggy not even able to the sculpt) what is the problem in my hardware Well iam still learning from your beginner exercises so is it ok to start sculpting

Just tried to send you a tip through the paypal Link - however, it seems to be for a reverse payment. I don't think you should pay for us 🤣 Can you post the correct link or your email registered at paypal?

Just bought 2 of your courses! what a great deal you have on at the moment, excited to begin gaining a deeper understanding of the sculpting workflow
This isnt the tutorial we asked for. But it's the tutorial we desperately needed

I still learn a lot from these videos especially the sculpting ones even though I consider myself an intermediate user
Thanks a lot . Your voice is so relaxing and calm
i learned blender from your videos and now ı have a job and i miss watching your videos ty :)
It reminds me of the old, "Rollin' Wild" CGI shorts.
something i can finely sclupt as a beginner :]
Now have a go with that....a slide pause.🥰

Awesome video as usual :) You make the videos in a way that it is so easy to learn, keep it up! Would love a video when you paint it :)
Thank you for this content, it wss very informative! 👍
my first model ever was also a giraffe from ur tut🤣
Nice use of Remesh 😀
Would be happy for a texture painting tutorial. Maybe even retopology for games too? I know you got the Axe series for stuff like that, but this is organic 😜
Yes Grant Abit plz make a video on texture and animating this giraffe

yay!
That is a well fed Giraffe 😅 Neat tutorial
Hello Grant, do you know if the graphic tablet you use works with Linux too? I don't use windows. Many thanks.
Not sure sorry
@@grabbitt Thanks anyway.
What did the giraffes ate(too fat)
wow my giraffe looks ugly lol. Would love a texture video on this. Would we retopo it or just texture paint?
We have to retopo in some way first

Cool
hi, why do you don't use the dyntopo?
They might discontinue it

I Love your tutorials 😊💥
8:35 why when I press ctrl r I don't get smooth results like you?
You need a lower number for your remesh
@@grabbitt i did that but i still get square faces and the result is still not smooth

No should all still work well
Is there a reason you didn’t use dyntopo?
dyntopo can cause a fair few problems and i think will eventually be discontinued.
The head of my giraffe looks so wonky X D
But:
I really like this easy modelling introduction and tutorial.

Why not turn the dyntopo on?
They might discontinue dyntopo apparently

Not sure why it's different for you
Do you 3d print you meshes?
If so do you sell them, also were can i get one?
i will look into it more :)
Need help . How create characters like Cocomelon Nursery Rhymes . And is it better in blender or maya like speed modeling riging animation and render quality
animation is supposed to be a little nicer in maya but people tend to prefer the blender render engines
wow easy
Retopology?
probably not too necessary maybe just a decimate
Can i ask You if u started using blender just as a hobby or did u want to make money with it from the beginning?
I was always hoping to make some money but loved doing it too
is no one gonna mention how thicc these giraffes are?
Btw nice video
Grant i have a problem whenever i try to sculpt. the veiwport becomes laggy

Difficult to say. Could be not comparable gpu
@@grabbitt 1650 ti is okay for that???
should be fine. difficult to say what it is

yes you can and i would not say its a risk
if you are good in blender you should start to do freelancing and if your freelancing becomes succesfull you can leave enginerring .
I am studying Computer science, but i dont find programming interesting and want to work in 3D, thanks for giving me some hope
vgood +1
hey, I like you sir. Thanks for everything :)

Accidently went a bit too detailed on the body, it looks... really weird. But, you can still tell that's a Giraffe, so...
Funny)
He isn't teacher Jirafales, perhaps teacher Garrafales... just a bit of mexican spanish :)
Make a gym for this giraffe
first?
not quite :)
I made a fat giraffe. :-)
the head looks like a giraffe - that's it.
Just tried to send you a tip through the paypal Link - however, it seems to be for a reverse payment. I don't think you should pay for us 🤣

Thanks. In not sure why that happened. I haven't change the link. Thanks for the support 👍
Chonk Giraff
I am not really sure... But your giraffe seems a little bit overweight.
