    It's so easy to stay in the same room with the kids and yet be so absent at the same time 😂😂

    One of my biggest mom goals is to embrace my children with hugs and affirmations. To actually be affectionate with them more. I’m a mom of 5 and I have 1 foster so that’s six ages 18 ,11, 8,6,4,2. At times I get overwhelmed and frustrated but I got this. Thanks for this video. Thinking about making a jar with my children with popsicle sticks so they can pick out fun things for us to do weekly. My 11 year old brought it to my attention that I don’t play games with them and it was like wow. I need to buy some checkers and uno cards and show them how it’s done lol.

    The fact that you all are here, trying, speaks volumes and to me says that you are already doing a great job! Being a parent, and maybe a single one, is thee hardest job in the world. There’s no one way to parent because all children are very different. Give yourself some grace Mommy’s and Daddy’s ❤ Thank for the video!

    I am really struggling because I was a single parent. I had to work and do everything in the house. And I really had no time for my sons. I feel really bad because financial support isn’t everything. I really want to be a better mom to my kids because I never had one. I honestly had to go no contact with mine because she is too much to take on. I don’t hate her but I can’t take her in my life. I don’t want to drive my sons to feel that way with me.

      Thank you so much for watching, Andreaka. Being a single mom is definitely not easy, but I know your boys see how much you love them and all you do for them.

      Oh yes. I made a life change of leaving America. We went back to the Caribbean. And it helped. Because I actually have the time to connect with them. I went to school with them for a whole day. It was great. In the states I was stressed out and with the fact I worked two jobs. I am going to entertain some books. You are right about the goals because my oldest son struggles in school. So that is one of our goals is to have an ideal week.

    Since we all been stuck in the house it won't feel like at times we are close. when someone comes into the kitchen I am the one that stops them and tells a joke. I do always suggest movie time. I am a new subscriber I really hope we can stay connected

    I am here because i feel i do everything for my kids and they keep misbehaving and not listening and that just makes me feel so bad like im not doing something right i feel I'm not a good mom and i honestly dont know what else to do 😭
    And when i say i do everything i mean it i went to school got a job i work from home to be near them i have my mom at home w me to help me cook for them since i dont have time for that. I play w them sometimes i mean i also need a break and cant do this every day. I take them out, they have alot of toys which that i stop doing because i saw no matter how much toys i buy its never enough and they misbehave that i realized i shouldn't give them prices for that. I ask them about their day i say i love you so many times i make them laugh and they are so smart because i have thought them to speak colors numbers etc since they were 6mo. Old and i can keep writing about all the good things i have done for them and they dont see/appreciate but this is too long already 😅 being a mom sucks sometimes 😭

      Forgot to mention I have 2 girls 1yr old and 5 yr old the oldest is always saying we don't love her and honestly she is the one who gets all the love and all the things and attention all the time and when we ask why she feels like that she says she just wants to be a baby we try talking to her so many times making her understand that she can't be a baby anymore and that we love her and forever will but she doesn't understand she makes a mess all the time leaves clothes everywhere doesn't want to do anything alone she wants me to do everything for her meanwhile the little one is so independent 😢 I just feel my oldest has so much jealousy but really don't understand why if again she's the one who gets the most attention and is also not fair for the little one 😭 I'm just here for help not to be criticized 🙏

      It is definitely not easy when you have more than one child, Jacqueline. So that is why we have to give ourselves grace and remember it is not about the amount of time or what you are doing, just that you get some together time. 💗

    • @BeyondCommittedwithAyanna
      @BeyondCommittedwithAyanna  2 года назад

      Thank you so much for watching! When under stress and trying to be present for my kids, I have found that making sure I am getting time alone and finding ways to destress. Motherhood takes a lot of energy, so taking that time to take care of yourself and finding ways that work for you to destress helps to give you the energy you need to be present. I hope this helps. 💕

    I hate being a mom. Sometimes I just can’t figure it out. I find no joy of it. It’s not fun. I don’t know how to be nurturing, maybe because I was never shown. I just want to be left alone. I hate playing with toys. I hate it all I’m not a natural made mother. I just need some help.

    • @BeyondCommittedwithAyanna

      You are definitely not alone in not knowing what to do and need to find joy in the midst of motherhood, Kimberly. But your desire to be a better mom and awareness that motherhood is not coming naturally to you is something, I commend you for. I would encourage you to seek the help you need. Whether that is from moms you know, your church, or even a local moms group. There are so many ways for you to not just to connect with other moms, but also for you to grow as a mother.

      Parenting is not easy at all. I totally relate about not being taught and having not a clue to go off on bcuz I had an emotionally unavailable mother myself who wasn’t very present. The more you learn about yourself and healing your own traumas it’ll slowly come to you. And also take care of yourself and your mental health you could very well be depressed which sucks the life out of you. At least you’re here it’s never to late to correct our mistakes. You got this Kimberly! ♥️
