  • In today's video, I go through the process of building 4 more cutting boards using Cherry, Hard Maple and Walnut. I am still a beginner when it comes to working with hardwood. These cutting boards serve as more practice and also as Christmas presents.

    Beautiful cutting boards, congrats :)
Also, that jig for the router is so smart! First time I saw something like that.

Fantastic job. What are the dimensions of those cutting boards?
Also, what kinds of woods did you use?

Thank you! These came out to be about 11”x17”. I used black walnut, cherry, and hard maple.

    Good work.
May I offer... I'm that guy... First, turn down the music a bit. It is way louder than you are when you speak. Let your voice and music be the same volume and intensity or at least close. (The music was fine. No complaints.)
Next, invest in a microphone. Also, put up some sound dampening in your shop to reduce the slight echoing.
Lastly, rebrand your video. "Fun and easy make your first cutting board!" Add some details about jigs, what you are doing, how and why but be concise and to the point. Speak steadily but with some urgency like you have to leave but you really need to let us know this one thing. Slow down your talking pace when you are thanking viewers. Watch 731 Woodworks. He does this so well.
You have all the skill you need to make this channel blow up for real.
    All the best.

I really don't know whether he's going to sell it or not, but I'd get Woody Hyezmar's Woodworking Bible before he decides. It has some good projects, others not so good, but it's something worth to go'ogle if you want some cool ideas.
