Wow! this is so helpful. I will be doing my SPORE STAIN practical in the next hour. I like the fact that you explained everything clearly. . . :) WE THANK YOU
wonderful explanation. I am having difficulty with my smears and stains so watching this just keeps the information in my brain -- I am hopeful to get it one of these labs!
so i missed this session where we were supposed to do all the staining techniques; thank you so much for taking the time to upload these simple and understandable videos. wish you were my professor for microbiology, mine is so scary and the lab reports they give are always so vague (in a test to prove our comprehension as college students...i guess). it's pretty discouraging because they usually give us this look like we're too stupid to understand the laboratory manual; most of the time our class messes up one way or another, we take too long in the experiment, or we flail around looking for someone who actually knows WHAT to do haha. again, thanks for the video!
@@bioprofaz Clinical Microbiology Processor =) I'm trying to brush up on all things related to cultivating/isolating/staining bacteria from patient samples
@@bioprofaz Yeah seriously, without this I would have scored low because we aren't even doing any lab this semester (all online because of covid.) I got an A!
You are very kind. I am just a community college professor (or I was). For your other questions, we used kits that already had all of that already done.
greet from indonesia! thank you for sharing this wonderful and clear explanation. I am so very helped your videos, i hope you will upload some more other videos to help more people like me. have a good blessed day and keep healthy
Thank you for the kind words. I no longer teach at the college where I made these videos. I left to start my own company. I will be doing more videos on my own eventually.
I am taking microbiology this summer and your videos are really helping me a whole lot, I watch your videos before my classes and I do so well in the lab. Thank you so much
Hi I'm a high school student and I'm trying to do this experiment (endospore staing) and i got problems buying malachite green soultion. So the point is do u know where to buy it or how to make it? And one more thing do u know the difference between malachite green and malachite green oxalate??? Fast answers would really help me thanks !!!!!!
nice vid, I have to do an endospore stain my college lab has safranin for the gram stain but doesn't have malachite green, does any body know if I buy it in a pet store how much do i need to dilute it if any???? until i can use it for the stain
These presentations are so incredibly helpful. Micro lab can be so confusing and she makes all of the steps so clear! Thank you so much.
I appreciate that you go into information about the endospore before going into the procedure. it saves having to find a separate video for each.
You are amazing!!!!! Thank you from a nursing student at LAGCC in NYC 🙏
Thank you for this video. Showing the methods help me better understand the step by step writing on our manual. So much for a visual learner.

The most clear and concise endospore staining video I have found. Thank you, this video was very helpful.
I love that u explain everything so clearly and give the information about the cell before starting to better understand
You are amazing!! Thank you so much for having these videos up here!

I really like your experiments but why you don't do microscoping on camera to get the results ? Please do that too.. needful
why not decolorising ? if there's an endospore, shouldn't it resist the decolorizer?
can you be my professor!???
endospore does not decolorise...just the cytoplasm decolorises and is counter stained by safranin...
Thank you @bioprofaz
Dom Smith You are welcome!
Do you heat fix when doing endospore staining?
Yes, heat fix your smear before adding the primary stain.
