i love when she runs to stop the video. I wish my prof would be as good as you are. I´ve got a lab exam tomorrow. I am an A student but for the first time in my life. I am so scared but your videos are tranquilizing me. A million thankssss!!!!!
We performed it with Congo red, acid alcohol decolorizer, and manevols counterstain. When I viewed it under the microscope the blue background was almost cracked like per se and I had areas of a clear background. So it was extremely difficult for me to see any cells yet alone capsules. Any ideas of where I may have gone wrong, causing this problem?
The only copper sulfate I've been able to find is a dry powder called copper II (cupric) sulfate. Is this what I need for the capsule stain procedure and if so how do I mix it for the liquid form in the video?
the technique we use is completely different! We dont wash the slide at all. We use india ink first and let it dry for 5mins and then add crystal violet for 1min. Let that air dry and then observe under the microscope. I am still unable to get a good view of the capsules and i cant find any video that does it the wat we do it. I might use this method for my unknown
