Just order this racket yesterday. I have used PS97L v13 with added lead under the top hoop. It is my favorite. Control is great, power is ok, and feel is the best. However, it is still a bit demanding as it’s hard to counter when I’m on defense or running. I then switched to Head speed mp 2022 recently, which is more forgiving. Groundstrokes are great. However, I think the stiffness is a bit too low and I found it unstable at the net. In addition, feel is unmatched with PS97L. I just found out that they have this six.one 100 racket and specs seem to match my likings. If it works like pro staff and offer more power and forgiveness, then it should be perfect for me.
Excellent review. I play with the PS97 v13 and was thinking about demoing this one because I want more power and spin. However I’m afraid the 100 head size could hinder my one handed backhand with maneuverability. Did any of the one handed backhand testers have any issue?
Not for this playtest, they all seemed to find the maneuverability to work well for them. That said, we know from taking specs on our inventory that the specs can fluctuate, especially swingweight, and I actually have a couple of these frames that have a significant difference in swingweight. So if purchasing from us, it might be best to inquire about our matching services to get you a more maneuverable spec. Troy, TW
Hi. How would the 6.1.100 compare to the pure strike 100 gen 3? I tend to hit more flat aggressive forehands and could point and shoot with the pure strike with adequate control. Slices were great also. However was missing some pace on flat first serves. The pure strike was strung with rpm power at 56lb. Thanks in advance.
The Strike 100 is a bit lighter and more maneuverable, while also being stiffer and offering a bit easier power. The Six One 100 is a bit heavier, feels a bit more solid in stock form, and provides a bit more control. Troy, TW
Hi ! How would you compare it to the Vcore Pro 100 (2021) for spin, stability, easy-to-use forgiveness ? I hesitate between these two and they seem pretty close. The yonex seems to have more natural confort right ? I tried a RPM power on the PS1006.1, what would you advise me on this frame ?
Yes, the VCORE Pro 100 (2021) does feel more comfortable, with a bit better dampening, and flex. Stability is pretty close between the two, as well as spin, but just a slightly bigger sweet-spot with the VCORE Pro 100 (2021). That said, the Six One 100 v13 feels a bit more precise, and a tad bit more control. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse @Tennis Warehouse Thx Troy ! i'm looking for replacing my blade V7 16/19 with a more easy frame, still controllable and without loosing spin and plowthrough. I hesitate between the Ps100 6.1 (but it's not as plush), the Vcore pro100 and the new Ezone 98, and one friends told me to try the new speed but I fear about the SW (and the last version wasn t so confortable)
Thanks for the great review TW!! I currently play with the pro staff 97 v11, and I’m debating whether to switch to the v13 or six one 100. Any advice??🧐🧐
Yes, we have them on our website. 16 mains, 19 crosses. Probably easiest to string as a two-piece, unless you are comfortable with around the world stringing. The main skip holes are 8-throat (or bottom of head), and 7 & 9 at the Head or Top. Tie off mains at 7-throat or bottom. Start cross at 5-Head or Top, and tie off cross at 6 throat or bottom. Troy, TW
16x19, Skips are 8 throat or bottom and 7 & 9 head or top. Wilson allows for one-piece with most of their racquets, but if you prefer not to string from the bottom of the head up to the top for the crosses, or don't use around the world stringing, then a two-piece job makes sense, stringing crosses from top to bottom of the head. We have been using tie-off at: Mains at 7 throat, top cross or start not at 5 head or top, and bottom cross tie-off at 6 throat. Troy, TW
This Six One 100 offers a bit more control, and feel. It feels a bit more precise, and a bit more stable on volleys as well. The Textreme Tour 100 offers a bit easier access to power, and spin, and feels a bit more forgiving from the baseline, but maybe just a bit less solid and stable at net. Troy, TW
I found the Six One 100 to offer a bit more feel for the ball, and even though it is slightly larger in the head, the precision felt just as good as the Extreme Tour. I also found the Six One 100 to feel bit more solid and stable at net. The Gravity Tour packs a bit more power from the baseline, but also feels a bit more muted to me. Spin is good with both. Troy, TW
This one feels a bit more precise, and maybe a bit more feel overall. The Textreme Tour 100P seems like it packs the most punch, even though it is an 18x20, and the VCORE Pro 100 2021 feels the most plush and comfortable, while having a bit more power than the previous iteration. Troy, TW
I don't believe we carried that racquet, or hit with it, but based on the specs this Six One 100 has a thinner, straight beam, and that Precision 100 had a thicker beam up in the hoop, for more power. And with the thinner straight beam will likely have a more solid feel, and control. Troy, TW
This one possesses more of the feel of the Six One 95, rather than a Pro Staff 90. I mean it does have a medium flex, so kind of in that firmer feel range of the 90, but the beam design is more of the oval shape like you would find with the Six One 95. Troy, TW
This one feels a bit stiffer and packs a bit more pop. The Phantom 100X 305 is softer, more flexible, and feels a bit lower in power, but is more comfortable on the arms. Troy, TW
This is frame that Wilson has made as sort of an addition to their Pro Staff line, but is not something they are introducing globally, and only at select online retailers. So unfortunately I don't believe it will be sold at Tennis Only. Troy, TW
This one plays with a lot precision for a 100 square inch. Not sure if there are more precise, but the Head Speed Pro, ProKennex Black Ace 300/315, and Yonex VCORE Pro 100 all play with pretty good precision. Troy, TW
We don't have a set date, but typically the written review takes about a month or so to get posted, after the video, as it goes through an extensive editing process. Troy, TW
This Six One 100, although it is rated slightly more flexible in the throat (64 vs 65 RDC) feels slightly firmer on contact, and maybe just a bit more energy return, and feels slightly more spin friendly. The Prestige Tour feels a bit softer, and slightly thinner beam gives a bit more feel for the ball. Troy, TW
This Six One 100 is definitely a more user friendly version. I was a former Six One 95 18x20 user, for about 5 years or so, and I was actually surprised to find some of that feel in this one, firm but not too stiff, crisp, and pretty stable for its weight. Not quite as solid in stock form as the 332 gram 95 frame, but still pretty stable at the net. This one spins the ball easy, but feels a bit more dialed-in with the trajectory than I remember from the 16x18 version of the 95. Overall I really have been enjoying my time on court with this 100, and I find it to feel more precise than most 100, more like a 97 or 98. I have added some weight to increase swingweight and weight, and feels great. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse Troy, just curious where did you add weight on the six one 100 to increase the weight and swing weight? Cos I’m thinking of doing the same for my six one 100
@@shot1897, I basically started by placing some weight tape in the hoop of the racquet, around the 3/9 and 2/10 regions. Just a bit to get the swingweight to about ~330. I then added a bit of weight to the handle with tungsten putty. I don't recall the exact amounts, but it is pretty easy to calculate the added head weight, with our customization article, and sometimes it is best to do it by feel. Troy, TW
The feel is a bit different than the Blade 98, having a bit firmer feel. Compared to the Speed MP, this one feels a bit more control oriented, and maybe a bit more precise as well, with the Speed MP providing a bit easier power overall. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse thanks man!!! very much!!! what about between the blade 98 v7 16x19 and the speed mp? I guess the blade has more control and less power, but didnt try them...just tried the v7 18x20, very precise, low power...
@@hernangarciareynoso, Yes, still a bit more control and feel with the Blade 98 v7 16x19, compared to the Speed MP, but it is a little more maneuverable, and a bit easier access to spin than the 18x20 version. The Speed MP is a bit lighter, or more maneuverable compared to the Blade 98 16x19 v7, and the Speed MP has a bit thicker beam, combined with the 100 headsize, so it makes for a bit easier power. Troy, TW
Hi TW! Congrats on your great reviews! How would you compare this one to the pro staff 97 v13? Which one would you say is a better overall racquet? Thanks in advance!
This Six One 100 feels a bit more forgiving overall, with a slightly bigger sweet-spot, and is about 10 grams lighter overall. The Pro Staff 97 v13 offers a bit more control and precision with the slightly smaller headsize. Troy, TW

You should notice a bit bigger sweet-spot with the Six One 100 v13, and maybe a bit easier access to spin, although the spin potential is pretty close between the two racquets. I wouldn't say it is way more stiff, but the feel, and stiffness is noticeably different than the Blade 98 16x19 v7. Troy, TW
I play with v7 and 6 1 100.Comparing them ,the shape of the head is matching almost identical and the dense string pattern is so close , that you thing that this pro staff is a 98 sq inch racquet!! Pro staff is balanced -not head heavy- with lower SW than v7 and crisper to the point that my arm doesnt hurt.Reading the reviews of v8 i believe that v8 and prostaff 6 1 100 are very close.Lower SW than v7 , more headlight and direct feel.If it is so , i choose pro staff 6 1 100, it makes the differece with its large sweetspot!I might try 1-2 grams in 12hour for stability in heavy balls , what do you think? Nice video as allways!
Yeah, its a great feeling racquet, and for me a little customization goes a long way, although I find it to still play well in stock form. I have mine with a bit of weight at 10/2 o'clock, and brings swingweight up to 330 strung. I also added a bit of weight to the handle, so it is now about 12 ounces strung, and feels very solid and stable. When it comes to customizing, I think it is best to start with small amounts, and experiment, each players preference can vary. Troy, TW
Is this in any way a close comparison to the Blade 98? I know its a bit bigger, but sounds like bigger sweetspot sacrificing some precision? Guess I need to hit the blade v8
feels very different to the v7. The v7 is more muted and softer. The PS100 isnt overly stiff... its still comfortable. SW of the blade is higher (or at least my copy is). the ps100 feels more like a 98 than a 100, so i dont think the sweetspot is any more forgiving. I prefer the direct feel of the PS100
@Jason Kaminsky, They are both 305 grams unstrung, but this Six One 100 has a bit more firm feel on contact, not overly stiff but definitely noticeable compared to the Blade 98 v8 and v7. We found the maneuverability to be pretty easy with this Six One 100, closer to the 16x19 Blade v8. Although it is a 100 headsize the Six One 100 actually plays more precise like a 98. So in the end just a different feel, and stiffness. Troy, TW

is this version very different from the sixe one v14 ?
So ? It gaves you more easy power with the 100 size ?
@@InSiDe29 not really. It has very low spin potential and I just can’t hit with this frame.
@@tantennis well i just bought two of them... i played pro staff rf 340g years ago, i just play back again (5 years after stopping it)
@@InSiDe29 conpared to the 340 then yes more power.
@@tantennis I have felt the same way, this feels too old school now compared to my Gravity Tour, I want to like it though!
Troy, TW
Please a Six One 95 review!!
Hello TW, when will be the written review online? thx Regards
@Thomas B.,
We are hoping in the next week or so!
Michelle, TW
hey guys how would this one compare to the wilson pro open from a few years ago thanks
This one offers more control and feel, a little more precise. The Pro Open provided easier access to power, and a bit more maneuverable. Troy, TW
how this differs from the team version? thanks
This one is heavier and has a more solid and stable feel to it. Troy, TW
Are there stringing directions for this racket?
Yes, we have them on our website. 16 mains, 19 crosses. Probably easiest to string as a two-piece, unless you are comfortable with around the world stringing. The main skip holes are 8-throat (or bottom of head), and 7 & 9 at the Head or Top. Tie off mains at 7-throat or bottom. Start cross at 5-Head or Top, and tie off cross at 6 throat or bottom. Troy, TW
Anyone got a stringing pattern/instructions for this model, 2 piece? Can’t seem to find anywhere online
We have the pattern and skips listed on the product page here: www.tennis-warehouse.com/Wilson_Pro_Staff_SixOne_100_v13/descpageRCWILSON-WPS610.html.
Troy, TW
Is it coming to EU?
It doesn't appear that it will be available in Europe. Troy, TW
Not TW EU but it’s available someplace else. Point
Can you please compare this racquet to the prince textreme tour 100 310 ?
This Six One 100 offers a bit more control, and feel. It feels a bit more precise, and a bit more stable on volleys as well. The Textreme Tour 100 offers a bit easier access to power, and spin, and feels a bit more forgiving from the baseline, but maybe just a bit less solid and stable at net. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse is it closer to the prince textreme tour 100p (with better spin potential) ?
TW, how does the PS100 compare to the Extreme Tour (and maybe the Gravity Tour)?
I found the Six One 100 to offer a bit more feel for the ball, and even though it is slightly larger in the head, the precision felt just as good as the Extreme Tour. I also found the Six One 100 to feel bit more solid and stable at net. The Gravity Tour packs a bit more power from the baseline, but also feels a bit more muted to me. Spin is good with both. Troy, TW
Not one person mentioned a leather grip mod?
Where’s Troy?!?
@llamawizard,
Make sure you check out this week's VLOG, Troy speaks a bit about this racquet...
Michelle, TW
Hi TW, question to Sage, how much weight will you add to the 10 and 2 o’clock of this racket?
He says, he would likely start with about 3 grams, and see how that feels. If there is the need for a bit more, then add a little from there. Troy, TW
how is this compared to prince Textreme tour 100P (305) and Yonex Vcore Pro 100 (300)???
This one feels a bit more precise, and maybe a bit more feel overall. The Textreme Tour 100P seems like it packs the most punch, even though it is an 18x20, and the VCORE Pro 100 2021 feels the most plush and comfortable, while having a bit more power than the previous iteration. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse thank you! have a nice day
How does it compare to the Pro Staff Precision 100? They pretty much look the same.
I don't believe we carried that racquet, or hit with it, but based on the specs this Six One 100 has a thinner, straight beam, and that Precision 100 had a thicker beam up in the hoop, for more power. And with the thinner straight beam will likely have a more solid feel, and control. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse thx Troy for the answer although you've hadn't had it in stock
Does it feel like pro staff 90? I mean, prostaff 90 has a metal piece in it's handle, does it too?
This one possesses more of the feel of the Six One 95, rather than a Pro Staff 90. I mean it does have a medium flex, so kind of in that firmer feel range of the 90, but the beam design is more of the oval shape like you would find with the Six One 95. Troy, TW
How does this racket compares to the price phantom 100x 305? Any preference that you guys like?
This one feels a bit stiffer and packs a bit more pop. The Phantom 100X 305 is softer, more flexible, and feels a bit lower in power, but is more comfortable on the arms. Troy, TW
When will TennisOnly Australia start selling these? I can't seem to find this particular stick anywhere except for an 18x20 version on Wilson AU.
Any help would be appreciated, I am planning to buy this if possible :).
This is frame that Wilson has made as sort of an addition to their Pro Staff line, but is not something they are introducing globally, and only at select online retailers. So unfortunately I don't believe it will be sold at Tennis Only. Troy, TW
Hi TW, do you know if this version of the prostaff will become available in Australia for purchase?
It does not appear that this Six One 100 will be available at Tennis Only, our company in Australia. Troy, TW
Is this the most precise 100inch racquet? Any 18x20 more precise then this ?
This one plays with a lot precision for a 100 square inch. Not sure if there are more precise, but the Head Speed Pro, ProKennex Black Ace 300/315, and Yonex VCORE Pro 100 all play with pretty good precision. Troy, TW
Great review like always. Looking forward to TW’s Written Review of this racquet. What date will it be coming out???
We don't have a set date, but typically the written review takes about a month or so to get posted, after the video, as it goes through an extensive editing process. Troy, TW
how is this compared to Head 360+ Prestige tour ?
This Six One 100, although it is rated slightly more flexible in the throat (64 vs 65 RDC) feels slightly firmer on contact, and maybe just a bit more energy return, and feels slightly more spin friendly. The Prestige Tour feels a bit softer, and slightly thinner beam gives a bit more feel for the ball. Troy, TW
Hi TW, how does the PS 6.1 100 compare to the 6.1 95 ? thanks
Troy, TW
how would you compare it with a blade, or a speed mp?
Troy, TW
Hi. I play on a blade v7 16/19 and look for something juste a little bit easier with more spin. (I have a clash 98 but it s toi much) Please TW, what would I benefit with this stick ? And is it way more stiff ? Thx a lot !!!
Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse thx Troy ! Very helpful as always
Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehousehow many points HL after this customization ? Thanks in advance.
Is it gonna be available outside US?
probably not but its still in TW
The paint job of 2014 pro staff looks way more beautiful and elegant ! Wilson paint now looks kind of cheap i have to say
To bad Sampras uses the Babolot now!
@Jason Kaminsky,
They are both 305 grams unstrung, but this Six One 100 has a bit more firm feel on contact, not overly stiff but definitely noticeable compared to the Blade 98 v8 and v7. We found the maneuverability to be pretty easy with this Six One 100, closer to the 16x19 Blade v8. Although it is a 100 headsize the Six One 100 actually plays more precise like a 98. So in the end just a different feel, and stiffness. Troy, TW
