ok now after seeing the comments here’s what i think: the intro and the solo is ray considering that all the solos did go to ray due to him being lead guitar the verses are frank cause he was the rhythm guitar the bridges to the chorus is probably both of them and the “la la la” part is probably ray i think you can tell which parts are ray’s and which is frank because ray’s because ray’s chords are a little higher and frank’s chords are lower sounding i don’t know someone correct me if i’m wrong
@@tyjoisacoward4010 it's honestly funny how dumb I was 1 year ago when I wrote that comment. My knowledge has been greatly expanded in the field of mixing and mastering now.
You can be right at a certain point, In live, he has to sing, But in fact, he is the Lead guitar player... If they switch parts... I dont care haha, but he is the lead guitarist for sure! :D
For everyone wondering, Frank plays the verses and chorus and the lalala part. Ray and frank both play their own parts live and on the recording. They are both unique musicians coming from 2 completely different backgrounds that come together to make the music we know and love. What they play live is what they played on the albums. Hope this helps some people :)
***** This is not all the Ray's part. This have the Frank's part. Ray just play the the solos and intros, and Frank play the melody. So, this videos includes the Frank's part (Verse-Chorus-Pre solo-Final part), and the Ray's part (The intro and the Solo only).
Happy birthday, my fro fro princess. You are one of the reasons I wanna get good at playing guitar, so thanks. Even though some of this is Frank playing.
this tracks are from guitar hero, they took octaves solos and arrangements so it was fun to play, but it doesn't mean ray or frank play it, there are parts of both of them
one of my AirPods connected to my laptop and the other one connected to my phone somehow, so naturally i played this video in one ear and the video of franks part in the other ear
the chord at :58, does anyone know what it is? also tabs say hes playing single note stuff most of the time, but how does he get such a crisp tone? the pog pedal maybe? any reply is appreciated :)
lol thank you i saw your comment on the "frank's part" one as well. frank is known as the rhythm guitarist but aside from ray's solos he actually does most of the lead playing in their songs
Pretty sure these are still Franks parts disregarding the solo though, in an interview with Seymour Duncan, Ray said "I’m more of a technical player. On the records, I play all the solos. I’m more into the harmonization of parts, so the harmonized leads on the records are usually me. I guess that’s what I bring to the band and my metal influence. Frank is kind of the counter to that. He’s very rhythmic in his playing and his lines. He plays all of the octave runs and the choruses, and the counter melodies to the main rhythm parts in the verses are his. The way he writes is very linked with what the vocals are doing. He listens very closely to what Gerard [Way, MCR vocalist] is doing and he finds a way to reinforce the melodies that Gerard is singing, but he adds some of his own things to it that either harmonize with what Gerard is doing vocally or with what I’m doing. He finds a really cool way of just fitting in the mix and hitting melodies that your ear wants to hear that fills in those gaps. He’s really good at coming up with very cool melodic lines on the verses and choruses. It’s a cool relationship that we have. Technically, he plays more of the leads, in a sense, and I play the rhythms, but I’m playing more of the leads in a solo sense. It’s just very different depending on which song it is and we do whatever works best for the song."
@@stouupid He doesn't let Frank play lead, Frank plays what he wrote in studio, every performance of famous last words is the same, Frank playing what he wrote in studio, my God people that don't play guitar are clueless.
hahahah are you serious? Have you even seen them live? Ray was the Lead guitarist for MCR, did all the melodies and solos, Frank is the Rythm, you need to learn ^^
Ray: So, its super simple
one might say its dead simple
That quote was when he was playing Na Na Na though, which is a super easy song if you actually can play the guitar.
same
How Is This Chloe it's not simple though :'(
Well he was talking about the pentatonic scale which is the most basic guitar shit so it is super simple.
*buys guitar*
*listens to this*
*returns guitar*
XD
Jenna Toussaint Same
Jay Toussaint me
I should inspire you to play and keep on practicing.
Give. It. To me.
I've just noticed ... most of the best guitarists in the world either has long or curly hair, or even both
Frank? he had long and short hair ahha
Tom Noyce Frank isn't so great of a guitarist imo, ray is underrated
Joe Blackwater true. he is so underrated
Joe Blackwater frank is really good. i mean do you hear the octives.
hezza ezzachary That's actually Ray's POG pedal, frank just does the lead parts you hear except the solos.
The secret is in the hair
HAHAHAHAHAH

it’s hiding in his hair lol
i mean there so much of it who knows what else is hiding in his hair xD

THIS MAN IS A GUITAR GOD HOLY HELL
i first read that as this is a guitar
Katt same😂😂😂
Ray doesn't get enough love
In the studio, it's Ray's part. Frank plays it live. They do lead switching.
No way :0
Frank never plays any of the solos tho-
@@cloudymoss7411 even ray doesnt play this intro solo live
I think they do that mostly when Ray sings with Gerard because it's easier to sing when plaing rythim guitar
@@fevermajor4482it’s because someone else wrote the solo not Ray, that’s just what I read somewhere tho, I could be wrong.
Ray: Its super easy, you'll get it in a day I swear.

This is everything Ray recorded. I'm pretty sure they swapped the parts live so Frank didn't just have simple power chords to play every show.
Luke Davies how can this be all of what ray recorded if there are multiple layers to this track you can hear it in the solo
@@GromM- because in the studio Ray can record multiple tracks and put them togheter. So he can for example, harmonize his solo.

Solos are Ray's everything else is Franks
I have to give props to the mixer. This sounds pretty messy, but the final output it beast.
ray is so skilled its incredible

Dat beginning doe.
aaawesome
This is franks track apart from the solo, youve got it mixed up. If you listen to live versions frank plays everything here apart from the solo.
Ray played rhythm during some parts because he had to sing, but he recorded all of this.
I mean he played rhythm live
Serpentine
Ray plays the blusey shreding solos. Frank plays the octive parts during the rythum section. Mostly
@@worldofbryson2174 No, Frank writes his own riffs, and each one play what they wrote for themselves and work together to complete the song.

This is actually Franks part, he is right. Other than the two solos and some other bits it is Franks.
Its two tracks playing the low end and the high end making that.
If you combine this video with the rhythm track, it sounds pretty much exactly like song. I don't know what you guys are talking about.
A master musician doing what he loves best! Doesn't get any better !
