Their first album really is an underrated classic. I know it's hard to compete with the commercial behemoths their later albums would become but bullets truly is the one album of theirs that never gets old.
I really love the fact that you added less known songs like Headfirst for Halos and Sleep. It really shows your interest in the band and also shows new music to the new fans

YESS. Drowning Lessons is my favourite MCR song and that riff probably one of my favourite riffs ever. Gerard's insanely melancholic and tragic vocals on top of that banger riff makes it an insane emotional explosion.
Sleep is my favourite song on that album, it’s just the sinister undertone of going to sleep and never waking up, you can imagine as the music grows louder in volume it drowns out the cries of anyone who tries to tell you to wake up, to keep going, and it’s absolutely haunting

MCR has so many good riffs. Even though I mostly listen to metal, I borrowed quite a lot of stuff from Frank and Ray playing, specially from the Bullets and Three Cheers albums.
It's weird because I grew up in this Era and always considered MCR to be more of an "emo" band and didn't really gain my interest (I was 16 when Black Parade came out). Anyways, I was a big time metal fan, I'm talking the heavier the better. The older I've gotten, the more I appreciate music in general regardless of genre. So I watch a video about the Black Parade concept and I'm listening to the music and thinking to myself "Woah, this is metal." Ray toro is so underrated
Facts
My man Frank (justifiably) gets all the attention. Where’s the love for our Afro lord?
I love ray he's my favorite guitarist. Number 2 goes to frank
Believe me I get why frank gets attention, and I can stand by that, but Ray is a fucking beast. I mean he is my goal skill level guitar
Yeah, him and Gerard are my favorite members, I hope people will appreciate Ray more!
The Headfirst for Halos riff made me feel a completely new emotion the first time I heard it
100% agree
what a banger!!
Yess honestly the whole of bullets was like a new emotion but especially headfirst for halos (and you cant forget the end of drowning lessons either)
I think franks parts on helena is probably some of the best work he's ever done on a song
To the end is another great one
