Gerard Way is my uncle's neighbor. I'm not gonna dox him, but I gotta say that he lives in a very modest neighborhood in LA. Mr. Way, if you read this (he definitely won't), your wife asked my uncle to make a birdhouse for her. He is a very talented carpenter. That's how they met.

This is like a more chilled out Nardwuar format. He seems to just be kinda cruising through the questions and letting the thing flow like a little conversation (he asks improvised follow up questions which he very rarely does) rather than his usual bombardment of trivia and trinkets.
Not too familiar with his interviews but it seems hes more relaxed and comfortable with mcr as they’re so laid back and chill

I like the way he interviews bc it’s unique questions showing he did lots of research, engages with those he’s interviewing, great at involving the other members and keeps their attention.

I hadn't gotten into my chemical romance until I was privileged to meet Gerard and share a few awesome conversations as he was writing umbrella academy. I wsss😮impressed with his humble personality and intelligence. Needless to say, I dove right down that rabbit hole. He found it interesting that I didn't know him or his band, he respected that and thus opened up to me. I hope to cross paths again so I can let him know how amazing I think he is ❤.

I was 13 at the time and it was only my 3rd show. I was smashed against the railing in the front of the pit the whole show but I was SO fucking happy.... I'll never forget it.

This was one of the most awkward interviews I've ever seen but I absolutely adore it for that.
I saw MCR when they were opening for Green Day in 2005 or so, whenever it was right before Helena broke big and I looked at my buddy and told him they were going to be huge. An opening band had never impressed me as much as they did.
