    I definitely use it for my titles and descriptions. It helps so much when you tell it to have as few repeats as possible on keywords bc there are only so many ways i can think of to say the same thing! It also helps with the structure of features & benefits. I can give it parameters, keywords, and a detailed description and boom. Done. Then edit to tweak it a bit to sound like me. I even tell it to be "witty & fun" and it spits out whimsical descriptions. Its awesome. It will also generate ideas in a subject if you are feeling uninspired. Like "give me 25 ideas for products in x niche for x customer" and get you rolling that way too.

    I consider myself an above average writer, and have been asked several times to edit pieces for others. However, I was astonished at the extra va va VOOM that ChatGPT crafted for several of my listings when all I gave it was a description. It was as if somehow the AI actually saw photos of my garments and then wrote a vivid description. I picked out several phrases to add to my already decent descriptions, so time will tell if this makes a difference. Thanks for sharing this great tip!

Better than a "professional" (I put it in quotes because I have questions as to whether she actually knows what she's doing and not just because of descriptions) I hired, or another person that does it on a forum I know. In fact, if you ask them if they are able to do SEO, the tool will actually tell you that it can't. My primary job is marketing real estate, which includes writing about properties, policy updates, and buyer/seller tips. I strongly second that ChatGPT needs a human set of eyes. It can write lovely words, but it doesn't know what not to say. Many real estate agents were praising it as a way to do all their marketing, so I tested it, and almost every description it created broke Fair Housing Rules and ethical guidelines. It also has to be given facts by the user. I asked it to write a description for a community that has a large online presence, and it was listing amenities the community didn't even have. ...On a similar note...Starla, have you used it for brainstorming books ideas? I tried it and had a very useful discussion about science theories that helped me start my next book.

    • @StarlaMoore
      @StarlaMoore  Год назад +2

      Wow, I never thought of that! I do worry about becoming reliant on using it for my book, simply because I know how my own brain works and I am very easily influenced. I try to not watch anything on TV or read any books related to my specific niche of science fiction (neon-noir/cyberpunk) because I am very bad about framing my visions based on things I've seen in the past. I don't even realize I'm doing it.
      BUT I've had multiple scenarios I've needed to find answers to based on weird cross-dimensional plot points in my book (What would happen if all the ice on Erath melted? What would the world look like if the dinosaurs at never died out?). I think in this scenario, ChatGPT would be a great replacement for a standard google search because it would generate one "good enough" answer, rather than me having to compile a ton of ideas based on theoretical situations.

    I think this is a tool we sort of have to get on board with, because it will be everywhere at some point. Even Grammarly recently announced their own AI tool. Canva has one now too.
    But I have other concerns, like when I look at a photo of a beachscape, is it a real beachscape or did AI generate it?
    Models on websites won't be real, like Levi's newest AI models. Will this create more unrealistic expectations for our kids to live up to?
    My MAIN concern though, is IP.
    If I ask it to generate a description or a paragraph for something, or help me generate a character, or write a poem about farts, who owns the copyrights for that content?
    How does the law protect users vs the designers of these AI programs?
    I am definitely utilizing it to help generate ideas, because it has been invaluable, but I am definitely proceeding with extra caution.

    • @StarlaMoore
      @StarlaMoore  Год назад +2

      So, let me start by saying that this video focuses only on AI language tools, which have always been cleared as original content when I've pasted them into plagiarism checkers. This content, by design, is originally written.
      Image based AI is a completely different subject though and we really have no possible way to define or predict what the future of image-based AI will look like. I recommend watching this video by Legal Eagle, which goes over this topic a bit more in-depth and explains, from a legal standpoint, the limitations lawmakers are likely to face when regulating AI generated visual content: ruclips.net/video/G08hY8dSrUY/видео.html
      When playing with image-based AI tools, it's important to work with tools that source their images from a voluntary library (I *believe* all AI images generated by Canva come from their own library, which means they were not stolen from artists on the web). Most current image based AI tools grab images from anywhere and everywhere, making their images very realistic and fun to look at - but not ethical at all. So I'll be sticking to Canva when playing with images and AI.

    • @SilverSprings1997
      @SilverSprings1997 Год назад

      @@StarlaMoore Oh, I totally get all that. I was more talking about all the future implications of AI in a broader sense. I'm also an author and I know there are MANY concerns among cover designers right now because of the potential for unethical uses with images AI may source online and potential infringements. Not to mention the implications for authors if we buy a cover that happens to contain images not sourced legally.
      As far as the poem and the other content, I just meant that even if it clears a plagiarism checker, that just means it wasn't taken from someone else.
      My concern is does the content belong to you AFTER it's generated because you prompted the tool to generate it, or the AI software company because the AI generated the content?
      We just don't really know yet.
      But I guess it's like anything else, it takes real world situations and new precedents to create new laws for these uses. I remember when social media first started and all the issues over who owns the content once it's posted. It took some time, but eventually we figured it out. I'm sure the same will be true with AI.
      Thanks for rec about Legal Eagle. I'll check out his video. I love his approach to explaining the law.

    • @StarlaMoore
      @StarlaMoore  Год назад +1

      Yeah, cover design is going to be hard. My hope is that cover artists will need to state how their covers are produced so that authors can make informed purchasing decisions. I personally would never use an AI-generated cover for the exact reasons you've stated.

With the OpenAI version, you can continue a discussion, almost like a big chat. And the service will continue talking to you about the same topic. We actually asked it if it learns from us, and it said yes - so when it makes mistakes, we point them out and it apologizes then adjusts.

      Ok-TY so much bc I’m new and just got started and I’m afraid I will be infringing or breaking Canva laws for POD 😳 Mey Ayrolo put a whole video up about this and it’s how I saw that you were on in the conversation-I did notice that the woman seemed to not understand, mistaken areas and also said that Canva support staff wasn’t always correct (implying that anything they have told us is incorrect) and Canva supersedes all support staff-which is exactly why it’s so confusing!! But I figured who best to ask than the “Doctor” herself 😉

I'm still working on communicating with Canva's legal team directly so I can create a video on this topic for next week, but as of right now, it would seem that the woman from the group had no idea what she was talking about.

      It completely depends on how you're creating those images. If you're using a service like Canva or Photoshop, you'll just need to make sure you're downloading them at a larger size. Printful will typically have a image size guideline for the minimum pixels recommended for each item. When I need to resize an image fast, I typically upload it into ipiccy.com then using the very first "Basic Editor" tab, I go into the "Resize" tool and max out the dimensions. I hope this helps!

    • @UFO-Australia
      @UFO-Australia Год назад

      @BubbleGum-ef9bh Most POD co's like MBA, Printful, Redbubble, Gooten, Custom Cat, Spreadshirt etc have similar upload requirements for design images.
      General dimensions are 4500px (W) by 5400px (H) with a dpi resolution of 300dpi. Some co's may want 4000px by 4000px or 3600px by 4000px... tip is to design say at least 4500px either way and when uploading to POD co's... just use their crop box feature to suit the placement on the t-shirt or coffee mug.
      You could also ask your question above to ChatGPT... write a prompt similar to this (and further elaborate/expand with more Q's with ChatGPT because it remembers the previous conversation prompt)... (prompt and answer between the XXXXXXXXXX's)............
      XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
      Query: I have a Printful account in which i sell print on Demand products. Could you please recommend and provide me the best design practices for uploading my image designs to Printful. Please provide the best dimensions and image resolution and other tips.
      Heres what ChatGPT return (it searches the web for info before replying an answer to your prompt query)...............
      Sure, I can help you with that! Based on my research, here are some best design practices for uploading image designs to Printful:
      Image Dimensions: Printful recommends that the image dimensions should be at least 150 DPI (dots per inch) at the intended print size. For example, if you want to print a design on a t-shirt with a size of 12x16 inches, the image should be at least 1800x2400 pixels [2].
      Image File Format: The recommended file formats are PNG and JPEG. PNG is recommended for designs with a transparent background, while JPEG is recommended for designs with a solid background. Avoid using GIFs or BMPs [1].
      Design Placement: Ensure that your design is centered and placed correctly on the product. If you are unsure, Printful has design guidelines that can help you position your design correctly [1].
      Color Profile: The recommended color profile is sRGB. This ensures that the colors in your design are accurately represented on the final product [1].
      Mockups: Printful provides mockup templates for each product, which can help you visualize how your design will look on the product. Use these mockups to ensure that your design fits well on the product and looks good [2].
      Review: Before submitting your design, review it carefully to ensure that it meets all of Printful's design guidelines. This will help avoid any issues with the final product [1].
      I hope these tips are helpful! If you have any other questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out to Printful's customer support team.

      UpDATE: I asked/said to CHatGPT... Query: I thought that 300dpi was the best resolution... it replied...
      Yes, 300 dpi is a commonly recommended image resolution for printing high-quality photographs [1]. However, it's important to note that the intended viewing distance of the print also plays a role in determining the required image resolution. If the print will be viewed from a greater distance, you may not need such a high resolution image. On the other hand, if the print will be viewed up close, you may need a higher resolution image to ensure that the details are sharp and clear.
      It's also worth noting that while 300 dpi is a good starting point for image resolution, it's not a hard and fast rule. Depending on the specific requirements of your print job and the capabilities of your printer, you may be able to use a lower or higher resolution image. Ultimately, the best way to determine the ideal image resolution for your specific print job is to consult with the printing service you'll be using.
      I hope this helps clarify things for you! Let me know if you have any other questions.
      XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
      Thanks ChatGPT... i already know that uploading my 300dpi resolution images for my POD products is the best recommendation.

    Yet is the key word that was not used. It’s only been a few month since 3 to 4 and it’s rocking it hard. I don’t like it but you can’t really say it won’t be gunning for a lot of positions. Tech speed is crazy and when this thing starts cooking it will be taking over. Only a few years to go.

      I know! The version I played with in December was totally different from ChatGPT 4. It's scary how fast AI is advancing!

      I've lost 2 subscribers because of the fart. 😂😂😂 No regrets. Farts are funny.

      Oh yes, there's definitely a lot of controversy when it comes to AI. Especially since it's new and we don't know what the future of AI will look like.
