    Thanks so much, awesome as always! I watched your branding with Printify video and loved it! I redid my banner and then I grabbed your 30 day IG challenge and started it yesterday, using my branding in canva to put together some posts. The IG challenge is definitely set up more for stores that craft their own items, but I am determined. I sent Printify a message asking if there was any way possible for them to have the option for POD to send customers their products in "branded" packaging. I hope they will be able to do that, I am sure its more complicated than I think lol, but I would pay $1 or $2 more to have my shirts ship in a colored bag or print a sticker of my logo to throw on there. Thats one of the things I don't love about POD, the packaging is so ugly. Again, thank you so much for everything you and Marc do, you have so many awesome free tools available!

    • @StarlaMoore
      @StarlaMoore  Год назад +2

      My biggest piece of advice for the IG challenge with POD is to order samples and try to take a few of your own photos, along with mock-ups. It helps to give your account a bit of personality, and you can write those items off as business expenses.
      I have a student who is a wonderful example of a seller who uses POD but takes her own images: instagram.com/distant.planet.design/

    Thank you for all the valuable info. I got your SEO package, and subscribed to ERank, but only got the free version instead of the 30 day trial. Is there something I should do to activate it?

    • @StarlaMoore
      @StarlaMoore  Год назад +1

      When you sign up for eRank via the link in the toolbox, you need to choose one of the paid plans. The free 30 days can only be applied to paid plans, otherwise you just end up with the free account and features. I know the page doesn't say anything about the trial but we kind of had to push the page out in a rush. The free 30 days DOES apply. However, if you already signed up for the free account, you'll unfortunately need to use a different email address if you want to take advantage of the 30 day trial on a paid plan, as it can only applied to an email address not already associated with an eRank account. I know this process is kind of a pain. eRank's system is not designed for free trials so this was an exclusive that we built JUST for my community.

    • @StarlaMoore
      @StarlaMoore  Год назад +2

      I don't really see any reason to create mock-ups for vintage products. I would focus more on clean and clear product photography with minimal background distractions. Yep. I am guilty for mistake n°5.. My products are so underpriced...
    But the problem is my competition has similar prices...I am afraid I won't have any sales at all if I raise the prices...😢

    • @StarlaMoore
      @StarlaMoore  Год назад +4

      Sometimes raising prices above your competitors actually increases the value of your products in the eyes of customers while simultaneously devaluing your competitors who are seen as the "cheap" lower quality option.
      As I always say, it's easier to make one $100 sale than it is to make a hundred $1 sales. 🙂

  • @saiyangemini
    @saiyangemini Год назад

    oooop I've been under pricing due to people in that niche buying whole sale and listing it for so low so the only way I can compete is lowering even though mine is all done by hand :/

    • @StarlaMoore
      @StarlaMoore  Год назад +2

      If they aren't making their products by hand, they are not your competitors. In your listings, be sure to state WHY your products are better and more unique. You can also add photos of yourself making your products in order to show that you are truly a handmade shop. Not all buyers are looking for the cheapest option, especially on Etsy. For many, quality of the product is the MOST important thing. 💛

    • @StarlaMoore
      @StarlaMoore  Год назад

      Unfortunately we are entering Etsy's slowest season. There are a lot of reasons that your listings may not be selling, none of which I can really diagnose without a more in-depth understanding of your industry. I recommend watching this video where I explain a process of elimination for identifying potential issues with listings that aren't selling: ruclips.net/video/WdwzuUOoMZQ/видео.html

      I started mine about a month ago and got my first sale after about 4 weeks. It takes time. In the beginning, I have gauged my "success" on visits and views. As expected, I got very traffic in the first 2-3 weeks. During that time I was learning and discovering Starla and eRank and after doing some optimizing on a few of my listings, one of them took off in views and that's where my first sale came from. I only had about 30-40 total views on my 8 listings in the first 3 weeks. Since then, I'm up over 200 views, and that one sale. That may not seem like a lot, but I see it as a success. Now, to see how long it lasts and what else I can do to promote more of my items.
      Don't be discouraged. Do your research and be patient.

    Any tips for getting purchases but don't have enough money to fulfill new orders everyday??

    • @StarlaMoore
      @StarlaMoore  Год назад +1

      This probably isn't the advice you want to hear - but if you cannot afford to fulfill new orders, right now may not be the best time for you to start a business. Your purpose as a business owner should be to serve your customers. This comes above profit... because without the ability to serve customers, you have no business. Focus on building a bit of financial stability before attempting to grow. It takes money to make money, and there is nothing worse than putting both yourself and your customers in a difficult position due to the inability to keep up with basic business expenses. This may be a good video for you to check out. I talk about the things I wish I'd known before I started my business: ruclips.net/video/N0kA9OxxPZ4/видео.html
