    awesome fun to watch. it’s definitely worth adding cooling, i think if you’re going to do an oil cooler, you should also do an intercooler and heat exchanger. that way you can really be covered on your bases and have pretty much no worries about cooling abilities.

    That was awesome man. The lap after when you said the slow Cayman went past was thrilling to watch. The way you were working the wheel made it look like you were dancing on the limit, great stuff!
    Re: the steering, does the NSX-R use the same non-assisted setup or a different rack or Geo or anything? i.e. are there any parts or setup mods you could do to replicate an NSX-R's steering speed and weight? Or are they identical to your unassisted setup to begin with? Because I understand your thoughts on the slow heavy steering limiting how hard you're willing to push the car, but I imagine if you (or anyone) had an NSX-R you wouldn't want to change the steering setup!

    Nice! Great to see you get the old girl out for some real exercise. You're on pace with my stock-ish NSX PB there around a 2:10 just based on some landmark references on the checkered-flag lap there. Same tires, but mine were only a few thousand miles old at the time. Where were you getting your oil temp readout? Am I not seeing an extra gauge you have installed?

    Sorry for the late post, but 215 tires in front? I was quite surprised when I read that. Is that the stock tire width? Personally, I recommend getting at least 235 up front before the LSD...unless you know something I don't (you are a far better driver than me) 😜

    • @koiflow_
      @koiflow_ Год назад +1

      Stock tire width on a 1991 is 205front 225rear. 215 is a conservative fitment to be sure though, depending on actual treadwidth and sidewall height, anywhere between 215 and 235 is in-line with my expectations.

    • @LapoftheWorld
      @LapoftheWorld Год назад +1

      For a mixed use car with stock fenders 215 is about as wide as you can go up front. Anything wider, barring some perfect-offset witchcraft, will eat the fender liners.

    I've had some experience in an early NSX. I always tell people the steering lets it down and it's always "mAnUaL pUrItY" ugh... It is a great car but the steering just sucks. My first car ever was an AW11. Now THAT car had amazing manual steering. (I should say I would take ANY NSX over an AW11 obviously :D :D )

Did you have to do any kind of modifications to get the rears to fit?? Any help/input would be GREATLY appreciated !!🙏

    Nice driving! If you're going to be mainly street driving the car, then it seems like an LSD and oil cooler might do more harm than good. How much would it be for a shorter gearset/final drive? Do you think that would make the car more fun on the street?
