  • I analyze the current conditions co anglers face in tournament bass fishing for 2024. I talk about some equipment options and some practical plans on the mentality you will need to win. #basstournament #winning #fishing #bassfishing

Love the focus of this video on mindset…perspective is everything in life. Having a winning mindset is foundational to winning.

It’s funny because my buddy is a really good fisherman. Years ago I got him into fishing and he joined a club as a co-angler. He only had one rod. And everyone talked shit saying he shouldn’t bother because he didn’t know what he was doing. Well he would be on the back of peoples boats and they would be pointing the boat at whatever dock or whatever they were fishing and purposely pointing the back of the boat away so he could not cast at it everywhere they went. Sure enough he would just cast Out deep or at other stuff and not only did he win on the first tournament, and then multiples after and get Lunker for the year, but he was doing it from the back of peoples boats with one rod, and everyone pointing him away from all the good spots. everyone else would complain and say I can’t catch fish, but he just showed when you are skilled , you can still do it just like these people who complain about live scope. If they were that good, they would still win. John Cox, and Lee Livesay have proved this. Plus, most of these people are just mad because they can’t afford it or they can’t adapt and can’t compete with everyone else now.

100%. I dont think people understand there are always fish doing different things and the guy at the back of the boat has to target different fish. Thanks for the comment!

Awesome video ! I’d like to add that some boaters always shut their graphs off on the console which puts the Co at a disadvantage sometimes IMO but I’ve recently bought a Garmin Striker Cast which fits in your pocket and runs through your cell phone. You can cast it out or just drop it over the side of the boat on a lanyard it comes with. I have the ice fishing FFS but not sure how a Co would mount the transducer pole in the back ???

You would need to attach the pole to something like a cooler, thats what guys have been doing. Glad you liked the video. I wish you the best of luck. I was going to do a follow up on the techniques that could help co anglers, but it didnt seem to get much interest.

Awesome let’s put as many livescope units as we can possibly fit on the boat

Lol. If you can design it. I brought up that fact that co anglers are going to those lengths, but the main subject of the video is a co angler doesn't need it to win. Your boater is already around quality fish and as a co angler you need to fish for them.
