It sounds westernised and might not remind people of Ukraine so much.
I don't know if you watched Vidbir, but they showed people reacting to the songs on RUclips and you were there as well xD Wasn't my favourite of the evening but like, this song is such a vibe
The song is one of the first to be released for Eurovision. They have PLENTY of time to revamp, if there's ANY NEED AT ALL. I listened to it quite a lot before so I'm not so surprised, it's a very soulful and dark sound, different compared to what the country had before, which is breaking ground for a country that normally sends folk or traditional music or other types. I cant think of a single Ukrainian entry like this. I think it's very fitting for Ukraine. The staging is really what did this. And with an EVEN BIGGER stage, this is definitely one to watch. Will it win? Probably no, but Ukraine is an auto-qualifier and they've already won technically in 2022 so no need to worry. Also, we need more futuristic-soulful songs like this in Eurovision generally!
I have voted for Tvorchi. And all my friends and family did! We really wanted to see something modern and less obvious this year. For example, Jerry Hail was plain singing about the war in a very victim-like and religious narrative, so I knew from the start I won't be voting for her. Krut' is amazing, but for the Ukrainian audience, who understands the meaning. And here is a modern song with a great show, that will for sure be commercially successful. Moreover, the meanings are obvious for Ukrainians, but not for foreigners, which is exactly what I personally liked. I hope Krut' participates in the Vidbir next year, next time I would have voted for her.
By the sounds of it Ukraine picked this song similarly to how Serbia picked last year with In Corpore Sano. They just want to showcase something different and break the stereotype of their country in Eurovision
@@mishynaofficial That's true, but they were performing a sort of lullaby to the singer's mum. Nothing wrong with that, but during a war maybe the mood is now for a song wirh attitude and some grit.
Well… I guess Ukraine is being Ukraine, you never know what expect. Probably this year Ukrainians a bit busy with not being wiped out as a nation. So they experimenting
I find that Ukraine likes to surprise and not do what people are expecting. This song winning vibir doesn’t surprise me. It’s a darker song. But let’s look at the situation in Ukraine. There are constant missile strikes by Russia. Millions of people without power, water or shelter. It’s a dark time and this song fits. An upbeat happy song in the middle of a war would have surprised me.
The song is a grower. It is unusual for Eurovision but very well written and arranged. I am sure it will be polished even more, and if Ukraine managed to put on such an exciting show with excellent sound and creative visuals at the underground station during a blackout after a massive missile attack by terrorist state ruZZia, their Liverpool performance will be great. Ukraine is very multifaceted and has a wide variety of music, so don't limit your expectations to folk music only. :) ENJOY the quality and creativity! :)
Even if it's not typical Ukrainian folk song it still looks like top 10 material at least. Performance is already incredible. They just need to revamp the song a bit.
It would be predictable to put a song that revokes a pitiful sentiment. Ukraine wants to be seen as strong and not to be traumatised and cry for the second year in a row
I am also as confused as you are. well, surprised, to be more exact. and I think this is not the only surprise of the 2023 national selection season (there will surely be some more).
surprise )) but we have a lot of modern music without folk elements. This is one of the reasons we voted for Tvorchi. And the second one is that the deep message (about Azov Steel defenders, nuclear danger, etc) can be sent to the World in a modern song without crying, but in a confident way. (Just for note: Jeffree came to Ukraine for medical education and English is his main language, nevertheless, he started to learn Ukrainian several years ago, and he sings in Ukrainian as well).
And I think this is her real talent, not super singing power, but the ability to mix things together and make them into smth new. Her dream is to create music for movies and she is now studying that in USA and I wish her luck in that

Previously, few people knew about Ukraine. It was a kind of Atlantis. That is why the majority of Ukrainians lived there. Very few other nationalities live in Ukraine, but as an example, a student from Nigeria was able to realize himself through Eurovision from Ukraine. And it's good that the world is slowly starting to open Ukraine, while Russia is trying to capture it and telling that Ukraine does not exist.
I think it's about time for Ukraine to send a song like this. It's been ethnic songs from the last 3 years which is good but a country can't always send a song from the same area of music every year or theyll be trapped to sending those songs every time. Better do it this year too since there's no pressure to win/qualify for them at all.
Same,im trying to,its not so bad but theres something missing,i didn't disliked but i didn't really liked either,i think its catchy but i liked much better the song when god shuts the door because its beautiful for me
I'm really disappointed this morning, because yesterday I saw top 3 songs of these and I listen Jerry Hail and then Круть full songs and think that this is absolutely insane I can't choose one of them. Because they are very cool but very different and then I play tvorchy and just hear a few seconds and close it, because it is same as they was five or 10 years ago. And they win? Well ... I feel like this year we wouldn't take even top 10
@@DerShadowMusik I think the good side is that you can hear other selection participants and enjoy their music in earphones^^ Popularization of culture and music is the main advantage of this competition. Eventually, i'm proud that we have very competitive nation event, and every year we can easly send 2-3 members :D
There are a lot of meanings in the staging, starting with the key words "Heart of steel", which were inspired by the heroic defenders of Mariupol, whose last resistance base was at the steel plant Azovstal (AzovSteel) with very deep bomb shelters. And radioactivity sign is also a symbol of constant ruZZia's nuclear threats, including taking over Chernobyl and Zaporizhska nuclear power plants by ruZZian invaders, shelling at the nuclear plant, and regular threats of using a nuclear weapon by terrorist state ruZZia. The lyrics can be interpreted in different ways and the brilliant staging links them to today's reality of war and genocide against Ukraine.

@@anyas.5007 The vocals didn’t sound bad at all for Jerry heil or Fiinka I didn’t think. If they win again with this performance, well you know why. Not hating on Ukraine but that's my theory.
Well 😂 as a Ukrainian 😂😂 it couldn't be more far from the truth 🤣🤣 People who care about Eurovision in Ukraine are those who want a quality performance which they can be proud of or those who think anything other than #1 is a failure. You can get such good results we have at ESC only if you really care. And with UK hosting in 2023, Ukraine can win again and be happy with another country hosting in 2024 😁 (Not laughing at you, but at this ESC conspiracy theory "we won last year so don't want to win this year" people profess.)

I don't think its terrible, its not bad just has something missing,i think i even liked a little bit and i could listen to this but i think the best song for eurovision was when god shuts the door
Good performance and an OK song. But any song you're reacted to so far was better than this. The main reason they won was that they were just the most popular group amongst all participants. From another point, this song just shows how diverse Ukraine is, which is a pretty important message.
Jerry Heil has more listeners than them and her songs have millions of streams but she only came 2nd in the televote. Also Tvorchi was in the 2020 selection and only came 4th in the televote.
Their target audiences are different. Jerry is and has always been an internet star. That’s why she has more views on the internet. They are, on the other hand, more popular in the real world. And since it’s a TV show, both audiences vote.

With Jerry Heil and Kruts these meanings do translate to all audiences.
But I don’t know if Tvorchii’s song reaches its audience with its message.
It sounds westernised and might not remind people of Ukraine so much.
I voted for this song because it was simply the best from all performances)
Thanks for your reaction and you have a beautiful smile 😊
We dont need to sing a sad song anymore, cause we can kick ass legally (you know about who I am tolking about), so
Yes, thank you, sir. Was about to say.
I don't know if you watched Vidbir, but they showed people reacting to the songs on RUclips and you were there as well xD
Wasn't my favourite of the evening but like, this song is such a vibe
Agree 100%
However a rewamp is needed mainly for the chorus
It amuses me that foreigners expect folk music from Ukraine again for the third time😄
4:05 thats the reason why TVORCHI won - they wanted to show something else
Great song! Like it a lot and listen every day ❤️🫶🏻🫶🏻
Thank you for all your reactions to ukrainian songs 💛
This is certainly not a typical eurovision song which ukraine send in the last 20 years.
More an international r&b artist..but its a very good song!
I agree - I really connect the strongest to the songs with strongest Ukrainian folk elements.
By the sounds of it Ukraine picked this song similarly to how Serbia picked last year with In Corpore Sano. They just want to showcase something different and break the stereotype of their country in Eurovision
I suspect Ukranians this time wanted to go with something bold, defiant, and more Western-leaning.
Also, a male singer, for a change up.
Kalush was a male group, too, but ok...
I'm not confused, I like it!
Good Performance and Good Sounds.😳
You were in a compilation of reactions in a small video in vidbir btw, you were on national tv
We love you Noosh!
surprise )) but we have a lot of modern music without folk elements.
You now that the Vidbir is moving in Subway (Tube) ?😏
Ig this kinda is the host country curse
Yeah. I don't see this winning. It could do quite well though
Can you please react to the German Eurovision application of Patty Gurdy? She is one of the favorites in the german pre selection!
Дякую!
Jerry Heil made the best Vidbir 2023 Song in my opinion
And I think this is her real talent, not super singing power, but the ability to mix things together and make them into smth new. Her dream is to create music for movies and she is now studying that in USA and I wish her luck in that
In my opnion too,i don't know why that song hadn't be chosed, its not that i don't like tvorchi song but comparing to jerry heil i think i liked much better her song than tvorchi so i really don't know why they didn't chosed that song,i don't care which country won i just want a good song to win and i always want the best of the songs on the eurovision so i really don't know why
💛💙
Feel the same way. Some reason I just can't get into this dully and enjoy it
Same,im trying to,its not so bad but theres something missing,i didn't disliked but i didn't really liked either,i think its catchy but i liked much better the song when god shuts the door because its beautiful for me
I'm really disappointed this morning, because yesterday I saw top 3 songs of these and I listen Jerry Hail and then Круть full songs and think that this is absolutely insane I can't choose one of them. Because they are very cool but very different and then I play tvorchy and just hear a few seconds and close it, because it is same as they was five or 10 years ago. And they win? Well ... I feel like this year we wouldn't take even top 10
Ukraine is my absolute favorite country in ESC but this is not getting my vote... for me this is going on the right half of the leaderboard..🥲
@@DerShadowMusik yeah, very tipical pop sound...
@@ArtZem66 i was missing the Ukranian Identity and language in this one
@@DerShadowMusik I think the good side is that you can hear other selection participants and enjoy their music in earphones^^
Popularization of culture and music is the main advantage of this competition.
I'm confused too 😕
I like Jerry heil's song 😢
Same
Мої щирі вітання з України!
Actually it is a good song so let’s see
Its not a bad song and i agree its a good song yes but not the greatest,i don't think this has a eurovision type of song, they should sent when God shuts the door for me
I also don't know how to feel about it. The staging, vocals and styling is good. But I'm not vibing with the song itself. It does not sound like a entry from Ukraine to me
i don't like this song.for me is boring.Jerry Heil is my winner🥲🥲🥲
I woudn't say this,i would say it just has something missing, jerry heil was my winner too
It's a good choice but I prefer Jerry Heil!
Same
Belgium's 2022 vibes here so I think it will finish 20th-26th, but because it's Ukraine it will finish top 10 lol
That's what I thought too 😭
Agree ! I loved Belgium last year so I didn't understood the hate and now we will see people liking this song with the same vibes of Belgium 2022 just bcs it's Ukraine... that's why I hate the Eurofans community so hipocritical
so tell me, when Ukraine hosted ESC, did those songs ended up in top10? you gotta check before making such statements.
@@amatet Ukraine doesn't host this year so and look at Sweden 2016...
@@Jujuffy Ukraine doesn't host 'techically' in terms of where it will be, but Ukraine is the country who won ESC. And i still didn't receive an answer regarding 'Ukraine and top10' statement. Moreover, if you would really like to know more, you may discover that Ukraine is not always ended up in top10. So once again, before doing any statements, check the facts first
Ukraine have not only ethnic, but good moder music too
do we Ukrainians ever do something that everyone expects from us? 😏😏😏
No. We are unpredictable
Well, if you ask me, this song isn't bad. Yeah it needs something but anyway. Ukraine will be in first 10 again.
I don't think it will,i woudn't put this song on top 10 but if the when good shuts door was chosed i think i would put that song on top 10 so i don't know why they didn't chosed that song,i don't care about which country won i just a good song to win,and i want the best songs to entry in eurovision
I dont think Ukraine selected the best song. Perhaps they wanted to make sure they did not win, -causing more problems as to where the final should be held?
It should have been Jerry hall that song was so good Ukraine doesn't want to win Eurovision I'm gutted and disappointed now
Well, it will be O. Torvald 2.0. With the only difference that I actually liked O.Torvald's song...
Thank you for being honest. Also not a fan and shocked at fact they won because of AUDIENCE votes, like, everybody I knew, was for KRUTb or Jerry
Were they Ukrainian though because what international fans has no impact on the voting at Vidbir.
Same here! I am really curious WHO were those people voting for this song...
I'm a fan of Tvorchi in general so I voted for them. Many of my friends voted for them too, even though we never discussed it. A lot of people don't like Jerry at all. It depends on your "bubble" I would say, so judging by "everybody I knew" isn't always accurate. Tbh, I thought KRUTЬ was going to win, and I would have been happy too. but overall, I just like when public's favourites win :)
They have released an EP that has 4 songs. All of them but this one was great. I do not like this song at all, I do not like their song to be representing my country 🥴
I am Ukrainian and i also disappointed about this choice. 🤦 Not touching at all.
But I wish them good luck anyway. ❤️
Slava Ukraini 💙💛
I agree with you. This choice was the last thing I expected of Ukraine when there were at least 3 much better options available to you
@@cultfiction3865 I also had other favorites, but on the live broadcast, when they sang live, they disappointed me a little...
@@anyas.5007 The vocals didn’t sound bad at all for Jerry heil or Fiinka I didn’t think. In the past there has been songs that won Eurovision that have had imperfect vocals such as Toy by Netta for Israel.
So vocals matter but I think the song itself is the most important.
We had a national final in 2018 and everyone wanted a song call legends to win but the vocal was very weak on the night and a poor song won instead that had a stronger vocal.
But the poor song still finished near the bottom on the night
It's very bland, let's hope their semi-final is awful so they can maintain their qualification streak!
They’re already in the final
@@wild_rose Ohhh, cause they won. Nvm😭
@@oOOOo33-q5q yes the country which the song won last year is already on the final,at least i think this is how it works,i see people talking about ukraine having folk music but was stephania a folk music? i think it was very different from all i heard of ukraine in eurovision and i liked very much that song, and for me i think it was not folk
Oh c'mon, we all know why Ukraine won last year 😒
One small thing, Alina Pash did not just "pulled out" she was forced to pull out by Kalush because they were jalous she won and they made her into big trouble and she almost finishes in jail 😅 and her song was amazing
She crossed the law, so she deserved it
Is it me or Ukraine always send bad songs after they won?
This is not a bad song though, just because it's not what people typically expect from Ukraine does not make it bad.
@@sav0001 but it is bad for me anyway
@@sav0001 The song itself seems too bland and flavourless
@@sav0001 100%!😊
Well I don't like this song, and is the first time that I dislike an Ucranian song, is really a tragedy that they dont pick one of the other two.
I agree that i think the other two songs are much better especially when God shuts the door but this song is not bad just have something missing for me so i don't know why this song winned
At this point Ukraine does NOT want to win. They have tried last year coz Ukraine thought that hip hop is something that people won't be voting for. But a great performance combined it with sympathy votes from televoters due to the current event over there I had an expectation that they were going to win and they did.
And with UK hosting in 2023, Ukraine can win again and be happy with another country hosting in 2024 😁
(Not laughing at you, but at this ESC conspiracy theory "we won last year so don't want to win this year" people profess.)
In this show, victory is not the main thing for us... but, as a warring country, I am generally surprised how we have the strength to participate anywhere)
it's a terrible choice
I don't think its terrible, its not bad just has something missing,i think i even liked a little bit and i could listen to this but i think the best song for eurovision was when god shuts the door
this song is pretty boring. you might like it but for now it's not that good. maybe it's a grower.
Good performance and an OK song. But any song you're reacted to so far was better than this. The main reason they won was that they were just the most popular group amongst all participants. From another point, this song just shows how diverse Ukraine is, which is a pretty important message.
No. The most popular is Jery
I dont like it
Ok is it just me or im tired of like politically heavy songs from ukraine? Like Jamala won with a political song and probably this one will to because the conflit is still ongoing i trully hope it ends and im very simpateric with ukranians but i really dont want them to win because the song is about war stuff
The song is not about the war. The staging as about the war, but the lyrics are NOT about the war.
@@mishynaofficial ok thx for telling me that i really apreciate it sorry if my comment was upseting
@@mineirotugaguoba9387 no, it wasn't upsetting at all. That's ok, don't worry. I just wanted to clarify that the lyrics can be about anything. And I understand people being tired of the war, we all are.
The song is in English, so where did you hear the word "war" in it? 😂
I understand the song is about being strong.
Jamala song is not about politics it's about history, if you don't want to know the history it's repeating as you see
ALL THIS WAS SHOT IN THE METRO!!! BRAVO UKRAINE!!
I give it 3/10
For me its 6/10,its not the greatest song i heard on eurovision 2023 but its not bad either,i can listen to this but i really don't know why When God shuts the door didn't win
