Ukraine will make this work, the song is ok and we know what Ukraine does when it comes to staging. The amount of creativity they have is really something stunning, year after year. Let's not forget they filmed this in fuc..ng metro station and it looked good.

I am sure it will be polished even more, and if Ukraine managed to put on such an exciting show with excellent sound and creative visuals at the underground station during a blackout after a massive missile attack by terrorist state ruZZia, their Liverpool performance will be great. Ukraine has a wide variety of great music, so don't limit your expectations to folk music only. :)The only thing about Ukraine at Eurovision is always true: Ukraine is unpredictable and sends very different songs with great staging.
I didn't listen to the other vidbir entries so don't have anything to compare it to, but I must say I'm luke warm on this version. I like the idea and the vision but the track and vocal arrangement could do some work to make it pop more and sound less derivative. But I must say with this being done in a subway 100m below ground, it is extremely impressive what they were able to do with the show. And since it is Ukraine at the end of the day, they will come Eurovision ready so I expect this one will do the same.

What a song to open the lineup and what a reaction too, A+. I'm so here for the Labrinth comparison, it's just up his street vocally but it also reminds his older, more electronic stuff. The intro pattern gains inspiration from The Weeknd's - The Hills, such a clever and powerful move. And yes, his vocals need a bit more spreading, just to give some variation more. I think this will be part of the revamp. Personally, i vibe with the song as it stands. It's just so enticing, so playfully put together, so fresh like it came out of the 2022 oven, they also have a clear musical and artistic identity as a duo. It only can be better in the coming months. Great video Alesia! Happy holidays.
Yeah, I also really liked that song, it really got some swag, but some areas of it should get a little bit elevated and more energetic, though (I believe, it's the precborus), but otherwise great song, great vibe. Ukraine is serving, this definitely would have qualified if it had to. Very catchy and memorable, and this is even though it wasn't my personal Vidbir winner (but still among my favorites though), personally I preferred Jerry Heil, but Tvorchi are awesome as well. Maybe Ukraine could do ths double this year, we will see.
the verses are great but I feel like the chorus needs to punch way harder, because its basically the exact same beat as the verse but with a synth added, until the last chorus where they add the vocal chops. also maybe im clouded because I watched the national final but there were way stronger packages to me like jerry and oy sound system
This entry sounds very US urban pop. It's hip, it's current. It's not the usual Eurovision crowd pleaser.I like it a lot though. Curious how the revamp would sound like.
Alesia I'm glad you like it. It's different and I had this as my favourite from day one there is a music video which is good I disagree tho about the dancers. I kind of think they came with that kind of staging but, hey we all don't have to agree with everything. This song is a vibe Ukraine is switching it up and they are a great pair. It's a decent entry that can grow on me. The only thing I criticize is that it could sound more current. But I'm fine with it! And this staging already looks really cool on that nf stage - we all know the circumstances from Vidbir. Now imagine how cool THIS will look in Liverpool 😍

I mean the song is ok. But winner countries task is just to show that they deserved to win, they have different kind of music and that they have good artists. And this does the job well :)
I kinda think the chorus kills it as it is at the moment, at least to me. It seems kinda demo-like during the chorus. There's a lot of potential though and with a revamp I think it can be a lot more impactful. I'll be honest, I was kinda mad this won the national selection. However if I throw away my biases, I know objectively it's a good song and I think I'm underrating it due to my other massive favourites in the NF. It's not a winner but it could get low top 10, especially knowing Ukraine.

A strong start but I don't think that this is a winner as it is now. Possibly a revamp could change that but the song does feel a little empty in places. Staging is already very good

Ιs this the live version? The version I heard was a bit off. The studio version is nice, just like Bonfire, their previous entry, but in both instances the vocals could've been better. They have like 4ish months to work on that. All the best for them.
The song in its current state could really benefit from a revamp. It sounds hollow in the chorus and beyond. I think changing the genre and language was a good call to keep Ukrainian entries varied. That said, I think some lyrics could also use a bit of reworking. You always talk about expectancy in your videos, and I fear that the song’s more lax and mainstream sound and presentation might not be what some viewers are anticipating from a Ukrainian Eurovision entry. All previous entries sans 2017 carried a much stronger punch, in some way or another, that helped them secure votes. That said, this could also set the stage for more modernized and laid-back Ukrainian entries. Who knows.
No this won’t win it’s not good enough. People are overrating it. The song itself is bang average at best although the staging is much better than the song is.

It’s not bad but it’s not for me just based on genre. Sounds very “American” in the sort of rNb way… which I usually don’t enjoy. And I couldn’t hum it afterwards if my life depended on it. I’m sure it’ll still do fine, I’m just not loving it myself. Also, it seems more suited to the radio than the stage - but I guess we’ll see.
Ukraine is not getting bottom 5, not this year, they will still get somewhat of a strong televote. And how do you know it will get lost when we only have 1 other song this year and Ukraine is much better than that one.
@@sav0001 Ukraine isn’t much better than Albania. Albania is just a style of music that some westernised countries might not connect with as easily. Whereas Ukraine’s entry sounds very westernised. But for me at least the Albanian song goes somewhere
The production is really cool but that chorus is baaaasiiiiiic. The song ends up being so mid. It really feels like it needs a vocal to take it somewhere at the end and the singer doesn’t have it in him at alllll.
It is NOT really good Alicia, of course is your taste but defenetly not mine and a lot of people's same, but of course with a little remix it can get better, but an English song from Ukraine is defenetly not that authentic as expected, anyway have a nice Christmas 💋
My only problem with this song: the chorus is sooooo weak and uninteresting, and it shouldn’t be. Everything is very one note. The revamp would have to introduce some vocal changes in the chorus, especially in the last one.

Ukraine 2022 reminds me of Bulgaria 2018
The song reminds me of Belgium 2022. The vocal, the staging, the styling all pop - the song just isn't for me.

It’s hard to predict when we’ve only got two songs for Eurovision so far. I’ll wait till more are out to assess it’s chances.
