  • Authorities pursued a driver in a suspect stolen vehicle, who is also reportedly wanted for assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer on Thursday.
The suspect was leading authorities in a chase on the westbound 10 Freeway after the pursuit originated in the Inland Empire. The driver, in a dark colored vehicle, has been clocked at speeds of 140 miles an hour before exiting the freeway in downtown Los Angeles and appearing to ditch the running vehicle later on.

It always makes me laugh when people say this in these comments. It's 2023 bro. Everyone, even 9 yr olds, have cell phones on them. It's literally a tracking device. I was in law enforcement many years ago, and even back then we did this.
Let me explain. You steal a car, you run. Well we have time stamps on all these videos. We know which direction you ran. Oftentimes police are behind you, which makes it even easier. We just take phone # from the pursuing officer, contact the cell companies, tell them to look for that pursuing officers number, and the towers it jumps to, and then ask them to look for a phone number with the same pattern, same towers, just seconds ahead of that number.
One customer service tech on his computer can literally look this up for us in minutes. We do it all the time. Now we have your cell number. Now we contact a judge, get a warrant, and pull all your text messages and phone calls that you made for the last 3 months. We can also see what towers they hit. We look up where your phone is at every night at 4am, and we now know where you are staying even if it doesn't match your license.
The ONLY way you are "getting away" in this day and age, is if you don't own a cell phone and never have it with you. Although if anyone else in the car has a phone, they will still find them, threaten them with prison time, and they will give you up.
I guarantee you they know who this person is, already have a warrant, and are planning to raid them once they simmer down and think they "got away" with it. That's how we always did it. A lot of times people are paranoid at first and move around. We can't get a warrant to break into a home at every place they go. We have to wait until they stay still for a few days and confirm through surveillance that they are there. Then we get a warrant for that address, get a crew of cops together, and plan the raid. As soon as they hold still at one place for a few days in a row, that's when they will get raided.

If it's that easy to fly a helicopter then why don't you get out of reporting and get a pilot license? If not then appreciate the pilot doing the best, he can for you or at least be a little more polite about it when asking or requesting repositioning cuz if I was your pilot id have gone back landed the chopper and told someone else to fly ya cuz I refuse the way you talk to your pilot in several different vids this week.
