- Today is a deep clean with me video. I am cleaning, organizing, and decluttering my kitchen and living room for the day. Yes, this took me all day. There was a lot of grime and build up because I haven’t deep cleaned in a long time and I have 3 boys running around and making a mess at all hours lol. I am watching this as I breastfeed my youngest and let me tell you, it feels really good to see someone clean a realistic home. I feel that when people do deep cleans on homes that are already spotless - it makes me less than happy. Thank you for showing realistic life/ a lived in home.

Just an FYI- most cleaners (if not all) that are anti-bac need to stay on the surface for a certain amount of time (typically 10mins) before wiping them away for it to actually be anti-bacterial. Any less time, and it’s essentially just water with chemicals that smells good. Usually it says a time on the back of the package or you can google it.
You go girl!!! My favorite cleaning hack is we do a “reset” before lunch and dinner. Meaning anything that we’ve gotten out to play with the baby or used randomly during the day gets put back where it belongs before we sit down to eat. It has really helped us with our cleaning routine.

Same. Omg. My 3yo went nuts with a black crayon in 3 rooms the other day. Had to call the landlord bc cleaning it would've resulted in stripping the paint. Of all the colors, why did it have to be black? It's the hardest one to remove. Better than poop lol. Been there done that at least 10x till I came up with a system to keep my autistic son in his pullup at night.
I 100% agree that markers are weapons. We have to repaint our entire stairwell because there’s some wonderful green marker squiggles going alllll the way up 🤦🏻♀️

True true, my house gets pretty messy. I just see all these updated kitchens online and they ALL have white or light cabinets!
Grey cabinets are pretty popular. I have grey ones now and I like it better than when I had them white. (Especially with kids 😁)your brown ones look lovely though if you decide to leave them.
Yes. Nearly everything in my kitchen is white including the counters and cupboards. I hate it so much. I have to bleach my counters daily because everything stains them.

The color wheel says, 🙅🏻 nope! Clashes with the floor big time! Most of the 20 people probably had someone materialize and design their house and the 32+ live in a house full of colors that look awful together. Lol my neighbor had a fit when I painted my house bec it made her house clash with the neighborhood even more.
Keep them BROWN! Lol speaking of what my weekly struggle is omg they get so dirty so fast (white cabinets) and you can’t just skip it or ignore it another day because it is so noticeable

Love this! Sad to say that one of my "hobbies" is cleaning/organizing our house. I'm always getting rid of stuff or finding better ways to organize and store things.
Ohhh if you have any storage bins you recommend I would love a link!! I was looking at Target and Walmart for storage bins and didn’t see any I liked (and the ones I did like were totally sold out!)
@@MaiZimmy I'm no The Home Edit or anything. I really love looking at the stuff from The Container Store but it's so expensive! I get a lot of totes, rope baskets, drawer dividers from Target and Amazon. Just a tip: those bins in the door of your fridge are removable but it's really hard to get them in and out so I don't recommend it unless they're extremely dirty.
To get them out just bang against the bottom with your first until they come loose, and to put them back slide them over those little bumps that stick out. :)
Or you can do like me and just Exist and they fall out.
Mine come out with pulling up as well. It's never been complicated to take them our or put them in.
My family thinks I’ve gone crazy because I watch your de-clutter videos as my deep-cleaning inspo ... like this happens like every week 😂😂😂

Maybe having less stuff on the counters would help you stay on top of keeping it clean. Less stuff to deal with the easier it is.

Baskets on counters. Looks crowded. I now put my bread in cabinet. I use to have baskets and a lot of stuff on counters also. But now use a shelves in cabinet above toaster.
Great video! One tip: the kids are not too young to help clean up at the end of play time. Remember the Barney cleanup song? That's a good one and makes it fun!
Don't do white cabinets! I'm constantly losing my mind trying to keep up with cleaning our white cabinets. I'm not sure how my husband gets coffee all over them, but he does.
I’m not 100% on what it was but you took a sip of something while cleaning the fridge and I’m just going to assume it was a shot because that’s also how I feel while cleaning 🤣

Super satisfying to watch as always. I know rugs can be expensive, but if you ever get to the point of replacing yours, I highly suggest Ruggable or any other rug brand that you can throw in the machine to wash
Do NOT paint the cabinets white. I loved my white cabinets until I moved into the house with a toddler and baby and then I loathed them. lol

Reminds me so much of when my 3 daughters were younger I had 3 under 4 as well. I remember the random splashes of milk and stickiness on everything and you wouldn’t believe how much you’ll miss it all when that stage is over 😊.

Thanks for the motivation, I’m about to have my third boy and I only have little spurts of energy to clean with before I get worn out. I personally would leave the cabinets brown as white shows everything. You did such a good job.

My cabinets were the same color as yours and when I actually took a look at them they would be filthy! I have white cabinets now and it’s like I can see immediately when something gets on them and wipe it right off. I have an easier time keeping them clean on the daily then letting a ton of grime build up before I even notice.

Just throwing it out there for anyone who didn't know but the disinfectants only actually work if you've first cleaned off the surface with a regular multi-surface cleaner or something and then follow the instructions for your disinfectant as it normally needs to sit for a short while to actually kill the germs. Also, the shelves in the door of your fridge come out by popping them up. They may be a little stuck though and need a slight wack with your hand to actually get it to move
So the best way to get scuff fresheners on Amazon is Shark cordless vacuum up Amazon.
I was randomly recommended this video and I thought "what the heck" and watched it lol... Can I just say... THANK YOU for having a REAL LIFE kitchen. So many youtubers seem to clean an already clean or mostly clean kitchen and don't show the real grit and grime of real life. I don't have kids but stuff still seems to just get everywhere so it's refreshing to see other people with actual dirt lol. Anyway, great job, it looks awesome

Keep the cabinets as is and what’s the name of the scraper you used ? We have the same fridge you push up then pull out for the draws.
GOODNESS NO! Speaking from experience wait till your kids are older and out of their draw on the walls phase to paint the cabinets. They will get SOOOO dirty and drawn on so much best to wait a few years.

We painted ours metropolis grey by Behr and bought modern black handles completely transformed the kitchen! Ours were originally a similar Brown to yours
Love it! I am one of those people who cant stand anything on the counter but now with 2 under 2 im having to let that go. this makes me want to deep clean my whole house but still recovering from a csection 2 weeks ago lol
We had a very similar fridge at the sorority I worked at. I believe you can get the door bins out by pushing them up from the bottom and then they slide back down into place. As you can imagine 20 year old girls are very messy so I cleaned that fridge almost weekly.

Kitchen cabinets aren't "brown"; they're wood. Wood grain is not the same as brown paint; it has beautiful variation in pattern. Also, painting cabinets is complicated and time-consuming. Keep them this way.
No need to paint the cabinet doors. Just update the knobs and handles!!!!
Keep them brown I know a father painted theres white and there children are 8,5 and 3 and those cabinets looks awful and the mom always complains how she always has to wipe them down everyday. Personally I'd leave them wood. White will be out of style soon anyways
Bar keepers friend powder is my FAVORITE cleaner for the kitchen. (Pots, pans, anything stainless steel, inside my oven)

I love when you grab a trash bag and just film while decluttering all the crap you find around, it's so satisfying :) I don't know if that junkmail/newspaper pile was decluttered too, but that's what I wish the most to see decluttered with magazines and clothes that can't be donated since they're the hardest things for me to toss. But just be carefull not to show your adress if you ever have magazines to toss, but I would appreciate to see you decluttering those !
Your fridge door bins should just pop up 🙂 there’s different height pieces on either side of the door that they hook on. If you’ve never taken the bins out I imagine there sticky stubborn stuck, might take some elbow grease to pop them up lol. Your manual should tell you which ones move 🙂

I dont know if someone else said this, but any kind of powder can destroy your vacuum cleaner. It's better to vacuum it up with a cheap ass vacuum. I learned the hard way of dont vacuum powder. I had a $300 repair job of my Dyson. It clogs things up.
White cabinets are terrible!!! They get sooo dirty. Would not recommend. Your wood cabinets look beautiful in your kitchen, I would keep it the way it is. Warm colors are cozy and timeless.

Hi😊I would keep them Brown because if you paint them white you need more stains and then the White Hen to turn yellow after a while and I would also use method Granite cleaner it really works good on my counters enjoy your video Happy New Year
If you decide to change your cabinets Color, I suggest the white rustic look to match your bench and so it won’t show little finger prints as much.
Good idea!!! A lot of the comments are saying to keep it brown but I feel like all the deluxe kitchens I see and gravitate too are lighter. Getting dirty is a concern so keeping it rustic is a must 🙌🏻

I have asthma and chronic bronchitis. I can't use chemicals to clean with. My go to cleaner is good ol white vinegar. I use a 1 qt spray bottle and fill half and half of water and vinegar.
Where are your xmas decorations?
I filmed this right before I put up decorations then it took me a while to get to editing it 😁 all my videos for the next few weeks too are pre-filmed and edited so I can take the next couple weeks off to be with my family. Maybe next year I’ll do a decorate with me!

You asked for comments on the cabinet painting. I think a soft green-beige would complement the counter-tops, flooring and living room furniture well. The white might look a bit stark and cold BUT would look very clean and crisp, just depends on what you are going for.
BEST for Granite
Pour one-half cup of rubbing alcohol, one-half teaspoon of dish soap, and one-and-a-half cups of warm water into the spray bottle. Alcohol disinfects, dish soap removes grease (I like Dawn)
Also, if you have not figured it out yet, the shelves in the door DO come out. We had that same fridge. Squeeze the sides of the shelf to remove it from the "notch". When finished, squeeze again to snap into place
No one tells you when you have kids...that cleaning your walls will be part of your cleaning routine 🤦🏼♀️ I would keep the cabinets as is until your kids are older🤷🏼♀️👍🏼
Im trying to understand how can the kids not know they clean up song? 😂😂😂😂 Have them clean up, and put away into ur cube storage/baskets. Or put away their clothes that are dirty in the hamper wherever u put them, for them. (like their rooms). You can create pics for the bins for them to recognize and have the words so they can learn to read as well. 😊
I love JAWS cleaners and my Mrs Meyers cleaners...also try Method some of their products are amazing (toilet bowl cleaner is legit). Honestly my favorite cleaning product is my OCEDAR spin mop. It was like $30 and it saves me so much time and effort. I love caldrea linen spray and scentsy linen sprays and I love my scentsy laundry detergent. (I sell scentsy if you need any...shameless plug) We have 3 kids 2 dogs and a cat so our house gets crazy messy.

The fridge bins on the door slide up and you can adjust them by putting them on different ledges on the door, (for different heights of products etc) if it won’t budge just give it a smack from underneath, it’s probably stuck from the weight and time it’s been on those ledges xx (cleaner from Australia 🇦🇺)

Hi Mai! I'm new to your channel and I feel your mom-pain! My favorite cleaner is Force Of Nature! It's a natural cleaner you chemically mix yourself (take a couple minutes and the machine does it for you) and it's as effective as bleach but not toxic to humans at all! I use it on everything in my house!

I have white cabinetry, suits the house and is nice. However, I would never have chosen it, not a fan and living with it has only proven to me to not do so in the future. Every drip mark, splatter, crumb, speck of dust etc is on display. And it’s just me and my husband, no kids!

I think your cabinets would look better white. White would be a nice contrast between the floors and the countertops. But….as someone who has white cabinets, they do show stains quite a bit. However I love how light and airy they make my kitchen feel. I’m currently due with my first any day now. I’m sure when she gets here I’m gonna a hate cleaning them more often. So if you do paint them white, maybe wait until your boys are older.

May I suggest trinova daily granite cleaner or bkf granite cleaner I guess it leaves no residue for me plus I clean my windows mirrors stove with Lysol wipes if it is too dirty
Oxi hd and members mark oven grill fryer cleaner for soaking pot and pan for half hour
I was going to tell you a bit of advice, because you always ask for pointers for cleaning. While cleaning the refrigerator, it's good you pulled out everything, but when you put the stuff back it's good if you put the glass jars and bottles up at the top of the door. So, when the kids go to grab for something they won't break the glass, and that'll be another thing you have to clean up. If it gets broken.
I am listening to this while re painting my kitchen cabinets white. I painted them about 3 years ago. Do it! You won't regret it! I have 5 kids under the age of 7 and they have held up wonderfully! I try to wipe them down once a week (once a month is more accurate though) with a magic eraser and it keeps them looking new!
i need to be minimalist because we are 6 people in a little space of 70 mètres carrés en duplex our kitchen is so tiny and there are two room only...one big for 3 olders childrens my girl and my twins and the other room for baby space (little room) we are in the living room :) we need to clean to survive XD a house like yours in france is too expansive :)

Hot cleaning tip i learned awhile ago. Your oven door is removable! Tilt it out slightly and pull up, it's on short steel arms or at least mine is. So convenient for cleaning inside the oven. Then just slide the door back on the arms and viola.
It's crazy how filthy a house with kids or animals will get in no time and it's a full time job keeping on top of it.
I love the dark wood but the floor color doesn't go. So, I agree with you! Paint the cabinets or lighten the floor. There are several whites that don't look bright or just not for you. Or, maybe a light color that matches the counter.

If you really want to paint your cabinets, I have seen a lot of people doing a dark colour on the bottom (say a darker green shade) and light on top. I think they look nice though. Maybe just change the knobs? I think that is dating them.
Is that your dining room table w the booth? asking cause I have a small kitchen and I don’t have a formal dining area and was thinking of getting it but it’s 4 of us and I like having family over I don’t know if it’ll work...
Your house is not dirty its just clutterd. The mire stuff you have the more work your giving yourself. Get rid of toys. The boys should only have two each a year. And storage is key!
