My children are grown and out of the house but I love watching your videos. You are so brave to put your house out there for all the see which encourages us to just jump in and start cleaning our own homes. We have been downsizing and it really does help your frame of mind to have less stuff to clean. It's very freeing and hopefully we can enrich others like the ones that helped us when we had small children at home.
I love all your decluttering videos because compared a lot of minimalist on RUclips trying to declutter their minimal homes you actually have a normal amount of stuff in your home like most American households with kids. So to me it’s a more realistic example of how to declutter. And I also crack up when you occasionally refer to it all as a lot of crap lol. Which we can all relate to as well. But you and your husband seem to like to shop. As do I. That never seems like it’s going to change. But you’re proof that it is possible to keep up with it and not have a hoarded house by continuing to keep regular sessions of decluttering going.
I've got so much done today already well just listening to your videos! Been having problems with motivation lately so this has really been helping a ton.
Folex has been a good friend of mine for many many years. It not only works on carpets, it is also great on upholstery and clothing. I pull out a T-shirt that has a stain on it...no worries...quick spray, let sit for a second....out the door I go. This stuff is the BEST Also, to easily remove stickers and sticker residue, get some lemon essential oil One drop will remove it all. Just put directly on sticker/spot...rub around with your finger and it is GONE And the essential oil can be used for hundreds of other things as well
Love all your hacks! the best thing I have found for removing hard to get off stickers is lemon essential oil - happy cleaning and organizing! love your channel :)
Removing the label from pill bottles ...If you have the time...I have found using a Cotton ball dipped in vegetable oil and dabbing it all over the label to absorb the oil and left setting upright on a saucer to catch the excess oil works great. I usually do 3 at a time. Come back to it in a day or 2 and peel it off without an issue. Yes, you have the oil to deal with but no sticky residue.
I have a cordless vacuum and it is okay for little work and there is nothing better than my hoover vacuum that is ancient and my dads old one. Corded vacuums are just so much better in my opinion.
Oooh the pet hoover looks great! My roller is quite satisfying to clear the hair from - snip along the hair with scissors and pull it off. But not having to do that at all would be awesome
Good Morning! Just wondering what your hubby uses avocado cooking spray for in the bathroom. Thanks for all the good cleaning hacks. Love the power wash dupe
Lol, I have never thought of using the swiffer with microfiber to do my bathroom mirror. I just usually climbed on the counter. I’m going to use that trick next time. 👍😀
I wish I had a bigger closet to hang more just because it’s so much faster. & I never thought to hang shorts that way when I did have the closet space lol
Started doing it with my jeans and I love it. Makes putting our laundry away so much nicer! If you don't mind the quality of them, the slimline hangers are a real God send. We installed an AURDAL closet from Ikea and the drawers are trash, so the less I have to put in there, the better.
I bet you can use furniture markers to touch up the leather couch scratches. It won't be perfect, but I bet it will be a lot better. Thanks for another fun video.
Next time to get the sticky residue off acrylic items try using goo gone or spray deodorant with a microfibre cloth, sponges scratch so easily, even “non scratch kind”
This video popped up on my feed and I love your content so I'm now a new subscriber. Looking forward to your motivation to help me get inspired to get things done. Happy Holidays
I used to think, man how many times can a house get extremely messy. But I have a mobile one year old now....so I promise to never question you again. 🤣🤣
Once the furnace goes on I sleep with a humidifier in the bedroom. So to avoid ironing I leave the closet doors open and the humidifier which is warm mist I put kind of in front of the closet and that does double duty to take care of wrinkles and also help me to sleep well
Thank you for the motivation! Got me to do some cleaning. About your fridge though. Magnets don't stick to stainless steel (sides yes, but not the doors), so I don't think your fridge is stainless steel. You can polish it with baby oil, much much cheaper.
I'd like to add that for the stainless steeI appliances, I mainly use it to get rid of stains in certain spots, such as on my dishwasher where there's hard water stains. Also make sure to use a microfiber cloth as well. I used Weiman stainless steel cleaner afterwards. I am also going to try the Power Paste and see if that works better.
I use the gravity as an iron method too. I haven't had an iron for about 30 years and 98% of our clothes are non iron. If I DO need to de-crease any thing that's in the other 2% I will hunt out my hand-held steamer. It's in the back of a cupboard somewhere. I also don't have and never have had a dryer. So, like millions of other Australian women, I use a clothes line. When I hang each item up I make sure every collar, cuff, sleeve, trouser leg, pocket and waistband etc is smoothed out. When I take things off the line I always fold everything PROPERLY into the laundry trolley basket. The crumb tray bit reminded me of when I was watching another RUclipsr, whom I'm subscribed to. I've always thought (and still do) that she's pretty cluey about things. However, the other week she says, in all seriousness, "I just found out there's a crumb tray under the toaster. Do they all have that?" I'm like "Well DUH!".
I've been saving my jars too for my smoothies. Also, I'd like an O'cedar mop but I don't have room for the bucket. I've been looking for something just as good that can be put in the wash.
If you need a great vacuum, and bargain too, the Bissell Powerforce bag vac is fantastic. On my 2nd in at least 20 years probably more, their suction is 🤌🏼 and it has accessories and long hose. I don’t think I paid over $40 for either, you can’t hardly find just a stick vac for that!
Mine & your husband's side looks the same 🤣 anytime I watch videos, I never see the bearded mess that occurs in my bathroom 🤔 Thanks for showing true life messes. Great video 👍🏽
What was the carpet spray used in your closet and where did you get it? You have a calming presence and a lively home. If you pour hot h2o in to items that have stickers and ket sit for a minute it this will loosen the glue to get sticker and glue off. Works better than hair dryer. Thank you.
Mai, you're so relatable! I, too, keep empty glass jars and use them to store homemade sauces and gravies, salsas etc. Leftover cut veggies (onions, peppers) do nicely in them too. Silas' concern with vampires was not lost on me. Years ago I had a garlic rope hanging in my kitchen..you know..just in case..lol. Being that my Grandparents emigrated to the United States via Transylvania may have been a factor 😁 and the only creatures that seriously creep me out are bats! 🤑 Your videos are fun, entertaining and motivating. I binge watch you when I need a real kick in the butt. 😀😘
So I kept going to Walmart to get one of those mops that you have they were out all the time then I looked again not only did they have them up you have they had the other one that you were talking about and I decided to pay the extra buck to get the nicer one I haven't tried it out yet but I'm excited to it kind of looks like the mop part looks different but we'll see
Can I give you a hint about organizing your closet? Everyone’s eyes go from left to right as ur looking at ANYTHING….so, in the closet, use the retail store method: tanks, short sleeve, long sleeve…always start with the lightest (say whites) to the darkest…black being the last color. This way you can see EVERYTHING and not have something like a light blue tank hiding behind a 3/4 length top and you spend an extra 10 minutes looking for that light blue tank. The same goes for shorts, pants, jeans. I hope this makes sense…if it works for Neiman Marcus it will work for alllllll everyone (I worked there for 14 years)! It also makes your closet look like your very own WELL ORGANIZED retail establishment! P.S. I lovelovelove your wonderful RUclips posts!
I look forward to your Monday videos. I could not find the drip free toilet scrubber. Could you please share the link again. Thank you. Have a great week.
Put all of your husband’s bathroom products in a basket. It will be much easier to clean the counter that way. If you can, put the basket underneath the sink to clear off your counter
As an OCD gal 😂😂 and a degreed chemist, I’m cringing with the pink being with the violet 🥴 pink is a diluted red… please oh please, it’s red 🖍 But, your closet is your your domain 💝 Full disclosure, my hubby gives me a hard time with my scientific method housewife skills. If you're losing hair for no reason, have your doctor check your thyroid levels, but make sure he checks: TSH, Free T3 and T4, reverse T3 and T4. If he only checks one or two of those, it won't tell the whole story. You can have a "normal" TSH and Free T3 results and still have Hashimoto's Disease. Also have him send you to an endocrinologist as most primary care doctors aren't schooled in how to deal with that stuff.

I use a dollar store bucket for my clean/soapy water while using my cedar mop. It fits nicely inside the mop bucket. Thank you for the motivation!!!

Loved the vacuum!! Usually end up cutting my hair off the roller. I would love a vacuum that I didn't have to do that to.
Hey Debra I’m with you on this one. Every time girl ❤️

Hey Mai, sticker residues come off easily with oil. I use sunflower oil or even essential oils like orange. But anything oily works, even butter :D
Oh I love that you also use these laundry strips!! So good for the environment !

This video was almost soothing to watch! Great video, & thanks for the powerwash hack! 🧼💥
Good Morning! Just wondering what your hubby uses avocado cooking spray for in the bathroom. Thanks for all the good cleaning hacks. Love the power wash dupe
I’m guessing only because my ex husband used it for his electric razor that’s what he was using it for? Works in a pinch if you don’t have oil for it.
Thank you Mai, your videos are supper effective and important at the mall, the worst dumpster of 🇺🇸...

Pro tip! Use WD-40 to get the stickyness off anything, it works every time and won’t leave any marks

My sister recently got a new black stove which shows ALL the streaks. She prefers more natural cleaning supplies. Do you have any recs?
I spit out my water at the piece of garlic for vampires. 😂😂😂
Just a heads up....any kind of oil gets sticky residue of containers. Or GooGone:)
I used to rainbow color sort my closet too lol
What are your pantry shelves covered with? I love the print, it looks so pretty instead of just white shelves.
