Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun is a real-time strategy video game developed by Westwood Studios and released in 1999. The main storyline follows the second major war between the Global Defense Initiative (GDI) of the United Nations, and the global terrorist organization known as the Brotherhood of Nod. The story takes place 30 years after the GDI had won the First Tiberium War in Command & Conquer.
This mod is called ion "Ion Shcok". Tiberian Sun looks good in 2023. I hope we get Remastered Tiberian Sun, Firestorm and Red Alert 2 soon
If Tib Dawn and RA1 get remastered, i hope Tib Sun & RA2, alongside their expansions, Firestorm & Yuri's Revenge, are next.

Thank GOD that thumbnail was fake. I was about to lose my mind if they destroyed the amazing pixellation this game has. It is beautiful and I will love it for as long as I live. All the Westwood games, RA2, etc. have amazing art style. Not too cartoonish, but gritty and rough.

sorely missing from modern rts
The greatest misconception by publishers is the assumption that RTS works in 3D...it doesn't.
3D RTS nearly always fails because the visual overload that comes with it making everything blend in too much, distracting.
I think RA3+ is the best example for that, on top of having quite bright levels, it never worked out.
It took away that grim, apocalyptic-like and distinctive feel CnC had.
RTS never needs a entire revamp of graphics. Improvements to engines and staying up-to-date with current tech makes sense.
I think bloom and light improvements can work amazingly with isometric RTS. There is no logical reason to go for 3D.
The only true major graphic overhauls would be in the cutscenes we received with CnC (shoutout to Joe Tucan, the goat)
The only thing. Studios really need to-do especially in case of CnC.
Modernize to support current devices. Upgrade tech to elevate visual effects. Add more lore content.
Personally I think CnC, especially TS being in my heart. We just need more story missions.
We don't need reinventions for interfaces. Just more lore.

@@voidbinary Well...tbh RTS can still be made in a middleground between cartoony and realistic (I prefer cartoony stuff, although I do like gritty stuff as well!) if they do it well! While it hasn't released yet, I think Tempest Rising is going to be a very great 3D RTS! It can work!

so hyped to see the game and the original music being reworked with so much taste and attention to detail, that im simply dying to get my hands on this. if there is need for more music reworks of the original hit me up and i will produce some. did a dusk hour sound-alike as a project while back during my music studies..

@@mscapeh4451 Not at progression. In the original game maybe neighboring trees catch fire, but a full forest fire.

man i would love to see a remake of RA2 where you get to play both as the battle commander (top down) but also as a first person infantry or tank, and you can switch back and forth between positions. i feel like we have the computing power to do it now.
Urban Assault did that with tanks in 1998, it was neat.

TibSun. Otherwise you would have multiple tabs (i.e. one for main structures, defense structures, infantry, vehicle and aircraft IIRC)
