I absolutely love Hot Process! You make me feel to go make some when I get home lol. You're like like HP Superhero with those two slow cookers there! Thanks for sharing with us. ❤🤍🖤🇹🇹
Hot process soap whenever I watch it being made I think no that’s not for me, I agree it’s an interesting process but I like the to me simpler cold process method. Therefore I will enjoy watching you Ellen and others using it and admire your results. Thank you. Oh and loved the nail polish I always admire people who have lovely nails, mine are not no matter what I do, thanks to all the Lysol etc solutions used in the old days of nursing pre gloves. Thanks for all the great info you share with us.
Ellen, You are brilliant! Why the heck didn't I think of this? Have two crockpots going and then blend them in the molds! I love your recipe and your creative ideas. You are such a creative, and delightful person to watch in the art of soap making. Thank you!
I L❤️VE HP soaps! Beautiful! To me, they have a different feel in the shower, especially if they cure the 6 weeks or longer. I’m glad you leave the EO homework up to the soaper. It’s very important to know your usage rates with these. I use the Thieves cleaner, so I made some soap with that blend and love it:) Lovely soap😊
Ellen I have been watching your work for awhile and I think you’re so detailed in your work, thank you for sharing you’re so creative I am a soap maker and love hot process soaps too. Good job and God bless, thanks from Canada
Yay, hot process!! I agree: I don't have a chemistry degree either but common sense says cooked soap is easier on fragrances than caustic raw soap and the saponification process. Great job!
Love how these turned out, such a beautiful swirl. I personally prefer to make HP, seems like CP always has its issues when I attempt to make it that way. I just starting dabbling in CP again, had a few successful batches but HP is still my go to process 😃 thanks for sharing this video. You are an inspiration 😌
Oh what a lovely soap!! I used spirulina in a rebatch soap once, sadly the colour faded out once it cured. I think I will try again using it in HP…so earthy and wholesome!
I always enjoy your HP soap videos (there are so few HP soapers on RUclips) I've learned that if I am going to do a swirled HP soap clay, that I do a 70/30 split on the liquid. I also add the sugar to the 30% liquid which is added warmed and I stick blend to get out any lumps, then I'll add the SF and after the yogurt. The soap is usually fluid enough that it's able to pour it into the mold.
I was skeptical about trying hot process and this video gave me some reassurance and I really appreciate it! I especially love your soap choice as I was thinking of doing similar.
Hi Ellen! Beautiful soap! I've never kept my soap shavings to repair my soaps. You give useful advice that I will be adding to my own soap making process.
You have the prettiest soap. I remember the first soap batch I made (supposed to be CP) ended up being hot process by accident, I left the pot of oils on the stove and it was still on, on the lowest heat setting 🙃. And it entered the gel phase and I realized oh my goodness 😳 😂. It turned out to be the best bar though.
I have almost exclusively made HP since 2015 and I too do not have any official proof but feel that my technique & process help to retain the properties of my additives & essential oils. I don’t have to worry about acceleration as much. I do my superfats pretty much how you did :)
I love hp soaps too!! I am going to take a try at my first one hopefully soon lol! Lot of stirring, I made rebatch before from Brambleberry and that is a lot of stirring for the arm muscles especially if you put in extra additives lol! But, anyways, nice soap there Ellen, maybe I will order one of these too 😉 😀.
i've ran through the list of your videos and i cannot find much of your hot process soap. i know you mostly do cold process but i request please when you are able make more HOT cause you make it look so easy! love your imagination and lovely soaps!
LOVE IT!!! Did I tell you that I LOVE IT!!! These types of soap are my favorites. Just beautiful oils, with clay, Spirulina powder and essential oils. I hope the day comes when I will be able to buy from you! I know shipping to Canada can be pricy. Once again... LOVE IT!
Hey Ellen...so nice...I am a Hot process soaper...these are very pretty. Next time try a spoon or nice long handled stick to swirl...you may find it alttle better then the swirl tool. 🥰😊
I just love all your presentations for us! You are a wonderful teacher and I so appreciate that. I'm new to soap making, will attempt my first batch soon. Do hot batch soaps still need need to cure 4-6 weeks? I had read 1-2 weeks is sufficient? Thanks for sharing your expertise with us!
Awww, thank you so much! Yes, I cure my HP soaps for a full 4 weeks or more. They just get harder and better with age, but are perfectly safe to use within days of making...
Hey how are you doing?. I'm a new in making soap and so far I had done only the mix of dish detergent mix to make the detergent strong and to strech it too. I found your channel and I'm grateful cause you are going to help me in my journey. I'm going to order all the tools to make my home made soap. Thanks for all your awesome and excellent videos.❤❤😁😁🛀🛀👍👍🗽🗽
Whoa! So cool! Can you repair air pockets like that with cold process too? I've been getting so many air pockets and will research to figure out why. Thank you for such awesome videos you are an inspirational soaper for me!
I love hot Process. It gives the Fresh feeling after wash much cleaner than cold. Process. BTw, where did you buy the soap mold from? Thanks for sharing 💕
Hi Ellen thanks again for a great video. Can you use this recipe for CP soap. When doing HP soap do we always need to check the ph. I've never done HP. Thanks
I have not tried this recipe for CP, so I’m not sure how well it will behave…. No, you don’t need to pH test, it’s just fun for me to see how fast HP saponifies.
Hi Ellen, will you show us how to make bar shampoo and give us the recipe. I have been looking for the right recipe for a very long time. I would very much appreciate it. Thank you. Sincerely, Pat
Should I still use the same recipe for hot process in making the high temperature hot process. I will like you making one for bathing soap. Love all your soaps
For a rustic bar of soap it looks pretty regal to me.
Love the shade of green you achieved.
Thanks 💕 I was happy with the green too👍
I absolutely love Hot Process! You make me feel to go make some when I get home lol. You're like like HP Superhero with those two slow cookers there! Thanks for sharing with us. ❤🤍🖤🇹🇹

Lovely soap😊
I agree about the long cure time, the older the soap, the better ❣️
I love this soap! Thank you for sharing.

Thank you so much 🥰💕
Wow, sounds and looks awesome 👌 👏🏽
You are most welcome, Ellen.
Yay, hot process!! I agree: I don't have a chemistry degree either but common sense says cooked soap is easier on fragrances than caustic raw soap and the saponification process. Great job!
🥰👍💕
I tend to agree with what you are saying about the essential oil. The purpose of using the oils are for their benefits. Beautiful bar.

Thanks! I'm really enjoying learning HP, it's so different, but fun!
Oh what a lovely soap!! I used spirulina in a rebatch soap once, sadly the colour faded out once it cured. I think I will try again using it in HP…so earthy and wholesome!
It looks like you need a lot of muscles 💪just to be able to stir everything in, these bars are amazing looking, I love the rustic feel.
🤣 it's quite a work-out, with all the stiring😅
You always share so much information. I have learned so much from you and your channel. Thank you! Beautiful as always.
Thank you for watching 🥰💕

Glad it was helpful!💕
The wonder of chemistry. That lumpy mess becomes beautiful soap:)
🤣 Yes💕
great work that cam out amazing. tyvm
Hi Ellen!
Beautiful soap! I've never kept my soap shavings to repair my soaps. You give useful advice that I will be adding to my own soap making process.

I really enjoyed this video! Beautiful!

I love happy soap accidents 💕 sometimes they're the best.

I really do enjoy HP, it's so different from CP... But fun, and it makes great soap!
@@EllenRuthSoap sure does! I love your vids ...thx for sharing your work.

🤣 it's an arm workout for sure 👍💕
Looking very summery and ready for a picnic, sorts. With the hair flick back and all…. Never mind the soap! ❤️
🤣😂🥰💕
I would love to see a confetti rebatch. I know the bucket is typically melted down and it would be cool to see something different.
i've ran through the list of your videos and i cannot find much of your hot process soap. i know you mostly do cold process but i request please when you are able make more HOT cause you make it look so easy! love your imagination and lovely soaps!

Amazing video ty!!
I always enjoy your HP. I also sensed the rebatch soap coming. =)

Great idea 👍 thanks 💕
Love it!!🤗👍👍
Thanks 💕
I'm going to make it some time to come with the same method you used it will be my first hot process soap I will let you know if it comes out good.
The top looks like a moss carpet. Fits into the earthy look.
Oh, I like that 💕

Thanks for watching! Have fun soaping!
You are queen of multi tasking! Loved it! QA: can matcha tea be used in soap?
Thanks 🥰. Yes, Matcha yes would be a great additive 👍
Whoa! So cool! Can you repair air pockets like that with cold process too? I've been getting so many air pockets and will research to figure out why. Thank you for such awesome videos you are an inspirational soaper for me!
Yes you can! I've done it with several cold process soaps, and it works great!
Excited to try this! Would coconut milk from a can (coconut cream) be able to be used instead of yogurt?
I haven't tried it, but I think it would be great
Awesome thanks. What's the temperature of the oils and lye
I don't take the temp during HP, it's more about the "cook".
Thank you for sharing how much tussah silk do you add
Just a pinch, like a marble size of the silk fibers. It's so light, I can't weigh it.
I love hot Process. It gives the Fresh feeling after wash much cleaner than cold. Process. BTw, where did you buy the soap mold from? Thanks for sharing 💕
Mold is from Workshop Heritage
Hi Ellen thanks again for a great video. Can you use this recipe for CP soap.

Hi Ellen, will you show us how to make bar shampoo and give us the recipe. I have been looking for the right recipe for a very long time. I would very much appreciate it. Thank you. Sincerely, Pat
I'm working on a formulation that I'm happy with.... It might be a while, but I'll have one eventually 😉
Hello, did the spirulina discolored after sometime after curing?
It does fade a bit with time😉
Do you have your recipe written down in percent rather than oz? I love the recipe
If you plug the # into soap calc, they will show the %
How do I come up with the water as percent of oils or the lye concentration when using soap calc
When using soap calculator
Bramble Berry & Modern Soapmaking have good info on calculating recipes
What other oil can be used instead of hemp oil?
In soap recipes, if you change an oil you'll need to run the numbers thru a soap calc to make sure your lye ratio is correct.
Hot hot was your lye water when you added it? How long was your cook time?
I didn't check the temp on the lye... And the whole cook time was about 20-30 minutes
Plz how can one make the HP soap without crock pot
That's called HTHP or High Temp Hot Process, here is a video where I show how I do it:
ruclips.net/video/ofA4pE18xM0/видео.html
Should I still use the same recipe for hot process in making the high temperature hot process. I will like you making one for bathing soap. Love all your soaps
It looks harder to make hot process. I thinking I will stick with cold process. I’m just beginner.
It kind of looks like Van Gogh
Looks like spinach and mash
🤣
Did you mean to make this soap entirely without gloves???
🤣I should have had them on earlier, but I was wearing gloves when mixing in the lye solution...
