  • Narikala Fortress was built in the 4th century AD. It is also known as the "Little Fortress" after the Mongol named it "Narin Qala". It overlook the Tbilisi city and the Mtkvari river at an elevation of 383 metres (1,257 ft).

    Along the climb up to Narikala Fortress, you see the only mosque in Tbilisi named Juma Mosque. It was built in the 1700s by the Ottomans. It serves both Shiite and Sunni muslims.
