Sounds like a lot of work, I just skipped that part... The small section of cotton between the inner and outer shell is clean anyway, and probably harder to replace since its so thin. I just rolled the coil over a 1/4" wood dowel, wrapped a strip of organic cotton pad around the coil then stuck it into the inner shell. Works just fine. I had to try a few times to get the thickness right. If you overlap the cotton try to make it the same thickness all around or the coil will be off center and look funny. I haven't used this organic cotton since I used to build RDA's, but it definitely has a different taste to it. Also to clean the coil I just held a lighter under it until it got red hot, then ran water over it. Clean as new.

I have yet to see a video where they can remove the inner shell without some custom made tool.

Cotton is in the middle like japanese organic but next to heater is flax fiber , don't know is anyone selling that, factories are using flax.
