This was fantastic, Jordan; what a dream tour! I loved it all: Ed Sullivan Theatre, Carnegie Hall, filming locations for “Arthur” and St. Patrick’s CathedraI. I really enjoyed seeing the Original Soup Kitchen and remembering the Soup Nazi episode from Seinfeld. And so much history in this vlog. Thanks so much, Jordan!
That’s it! I’m going back to Manhattan. I was born there but haven’t been since 1999. Time to tour my city again. Thanks Jordan. I love your vlogs. ❤️ 🦁
I am ecstatic! Love your take on all these iconic locations in one city. Most of all, thank you for highlighting “Arthur” and the multi-talented Dudley Moore!!! 🦁🐕🦁
I really enjoy your walking tours through New York. It's like I'm there without all the muss and fuss and people. Seeing all the interesting fun places is really enjoyable. Without you these blogs would be boring. You make them come alive and I learned so much. Thank you
I absolutely love Dudley Moore and the Arthur movies. Really enjoying the New York vlogs!!!!! Thanks again Jordan for taking me some where I’ve always wanted to go!!!!’
Brooks Brothers has been around since the 19th Century. At least one of the black broadcloth suits worn by President Abraham Lincoln came from Brooks Brothers in NY. They are known for their high end quality men’s wear.
That was an awesome tour of NYC! Going by the Ed Sullivan Theater, and seeing all the sights & sounds of NYC! This has been a really awesome tour! , thank you, Jordan!
fyi- my late friend and co-worker, Don Friedman, was the producer, and introduced to the stage, LENNY BRUCE, at his infamous midnight concert at Carnegie Hall. At his mother's insistence, Don also brought Billie Holiday (he was her last manager, to the PLAza Hotel, to sing at a B'nai B'rith benefit. another fyi- Studio 54 covered both the theater...I believe that most of the downstairs were some private rooms...and their bathrooms.
Jordan, you're hilarious! "Waitin' for a breeze." I'm so glad you were showing us "Arthur" locations, and giving him so much time today. I loved that movie and Dudley Moore was a great comedian. Of course, any vlog with ANY mention of ELVIS is always great, so I loved the Ed Sullivan theater mention too. Thank you again for this wonderful walking tour of NYC.
Enjoyed it i loved it, only been to New York once and it was way to short Jordan, your vlog gave me the same buzz as when i went, i hope to return one day, i loved the honking of the cars the loud noises, it's just one massive film set, Thankyou soo much you showed me places i never got to see xxx
There is NYC and then there is NYC. I thought I knew NYC being from Jersey. My Bro in Law is from the city and he gave me the 25 cent tour once and he tons of stuff that you just look and say "No Sh!t?"
Nice one Jordan, as always I'm impressed, I've never been to NY 🗽, probably won't make it there though I'd love to, there's some great architecture and you have shown NY to be better than I thought its like.
Awesome job covering the Toot's Shor plaque...his is an amazing story, being great friends with Sinatra, Gleason, Mickey Mantle and more. His grand daughter produced and directed a fantastic documentary about him called "Toots". Worth checking out!
“I’m waiting for a breeze.” 😂 After a stressful day, this was really fun to watch. Thank you! I have a cousin who has performed at Carnegie Hall. I had no idea Mark Twain gave lectures there. Pretty amazing!
Joe DiMaggio apologized for his behavior later in life and that was when he and Marilyn had planned to remarry. I think he was her only lover that didn’t see her as a sex object, that’s why he got so angry seeing her flaunt herself like that because he didn’t want his wife to act or be viewed as a whore. I think during the argument he demanded she quit the business and he will take care of her but she loves her job and refused so that’s why they divorced...I think or one of the reasons.
I was in the band in High School, and in 1998 we were chosen to be 1 of 10 bands to play a couple of songs at Carnegie Hall. 1000s of bands send in tapes and we were 1 of 10 chosen. So yeah, I got to go back stage and everything, and play on the stage there...
Another great vlog, Jordan! My cousin, Susanne, used to work for Leonard Bernstein. She retired from that gig, and purchased a B & B in Yellow Springs, OH. One of her neighbors is a very famous comedian, that you most likely know.
This is really good, to see the building's where different movie scene's were done is awesome. thank you so much for sharing the details with me Jordan, have a great day ☺️ 🖐️💯 💯.
@@DazewithJordantheLion I remember seeing pictures of Marilyn the next day. She was trying to hide her face with scarves - but you could see the swelling and bruising. I love Joe's reputation as America's favorite ball player, but the fact is that the smartest thing she ever did was splitting up with him.
So fascinating!!! I loved the movie, Arthur. So funny. Yessss, Marylin Monroe. Who wouldnt remember the classic scene from that movie. So much to see in New York. I love it. So sad seeing Anthony Bourdain s last residence. Thank you, Jordan. This is really great. Much love to you and Jah ❤❤❤🦁. Be safe
These NYC vlogs have been AWESOME 😎!! I have been there but have not had the chance to dedicate time to just go and visit Great Famous landmarks such as the ones you have covered on this series so far. Thanks for bringing us along 🤗😊
Great job showing my old hometown. One small correction: when Merv Griffin did his talk show on CBS (before moving to LA), it was not at the Ed Sullivan Theater. Wikipedia has this wrong. Merv did his CBS show from the Cort Theater on 48th Street.
The fountains and sculptures were beautiful. We used to see The Ed Sullivan show every week as a family. Seeing Studio 54 from the inside was also nostalgic. I remember seeing a video somewhere that Carrie Fisher went to Studio 54 with her mom Debbie Reynolds. How neat that you ran into the Soup Kitchen place and St. Patrick’s Cathedral architecture was beautiful as well. Thanks for the amazing tour since no time soon do I intend to travel to New York. Living there 4 yrs being a native Californian was enough for me. I enjoyed the New York experience though & continue enjoying it through your vlogs. ❤️🙏🏻💦☃️❄️🍁🍂💐🌖✨🌏
Thank you SO MUCH for doing this vlog! Arthur is and always will be my favorite movie and yes I was singing when you get caught between the moon and New York city ❤
You make me want to redo my NY trip! I always admire how you take advantage of every moment of your trips to provide us such quality content. I really appreciate it!
When hubby and I were in New York city we were at a traffic stop. I turned and looked out of the open van window. I saw the soup kitchen and in my excitement I yelled there's the soup Nazi guy from Seinfeld. He glared at me and I was so embarrassed! Thanks Jordan for another great vlog!
Wow what a great part 2 vlog today!! I love visiting NYC... I’ve never been to visit but this walking tour is so great it’s just like being in the Big Apple. Thank you Jordan a fabulous vlog!! Enjoyed all the iconic places Marilyn’s dress blowing up shot, and now Jordan 🧔 waiting for a breeze, oh gee Carnegie Hall wow, the infamous Soup Kitchen for the “soup nazi” from Seinfeld, The Ed Sullivan Theater, loved Dudley Moore, Liza Minnelli from the movie “Arthur,” who doesn’t love Anthony Bourdain!! Thanks Jordan I appreciate all your efforts in putting today’s vlog together so take care🌸🌹🌷🌼🤐🦁❤️🌻🌻👩🏻💻
Thank for all the hard work you put into your videos. I just started following you and I love watching your video I live in Canada so it is very interesting to me seeing what Los Angeles has to offer. Keep up the great work!
I am LOVING your NY vlogs! Jordan! There is so much to see there! Man and you are just doing Manhattan...imagine the other boroughs! I hope one day you will make it to the Statue of Liberty...I have always wanted to see her and I hear you can go up in her to the crown. don't know if they are doing that anymore.
Great vlog. I always loved both Arthur 1 and 2, but 2 is my favorite for some reason. Loved the churches Jordan. Daze continues to be a blessing everyday. Thanks Jordan
Speaking of Letterman...on my first trip to NYC we were fortunate enough to get tickets to a taping of his show in the studio that he used before moving to the Ed Sullivan Theatre. The show was recorded late afternoon for airing that night. We had a great time and I'll never forget a bit he did with "Bud" Mellman. He was the old guy with the thick glasses that made guest appearances occasionally. They did a "taste test" or something if I remember correctly that was classic Letterman.
Aw, you were at Trump Tower and didn't follow Audrey Hepburn's walk in Breakfast at Tiffany's. It was right there. And didn't mention the ending to The Way We Were shot at the Plaza. There's only so much you can fit in a vlog. This was terrific. Hope you visit James Dean's apartment on 68th St. Loved this vlog. Thank you
Jordan, you probably know this, but Morris Engel filmed his classic “The Little Fugitive” there in Coney Island in 1953. Lots of things to note in that movie. Saw where the parachute ride is still standing. Looks like the Merry Go Round maybe the same one in the movie. Not sure.
Just a bit of Monkees trivia.....when The Beatles first performed on the Ed Sullivan show, it was also the first time the world got to see a very young David Jones as he was in the musical "Oliver" playing the Artful Dodger. And I remember watching Late Night with David Letterman when he was at The Ed Sullivan Theater. Not only that, but Peter Tork and Michael Nesmith both were guests on his show. 1111 is an angel number which means to be aware of your persistent thoughts and ideas as these are manifesting quickly into your reality. Agreed! He was a comic legend!
fyi- there are some terrific retrospectives on youtube covering Moore's earlier days in British comedy.
Glenn Leahey great to know. I need to check out RUclips.

Me too... Pretty sad

Love the Sherman statue thrown in there. I've been reading a lot of bios on him recently. Thanks for sharing the great sites as always.
Loved when David Letterman visited his neighbors, including Rupert.
Mujibur and Sirajul were very funny too. I think they owned a souvenir shop.
