Amelia Earhart’s story has always fascinated me. I remember when I was recovering from major surgery in Burbank CA one of the ladies who volunteered at Providence St Joseph Hospital in 2006 was a former female aviator from a certain elite flying group during the 1940’s. All I remember is that the volunteers were so proud of her and treated her like a celebrity. They said she knew Amelia Earhart personally. I wish I could remember who she was. She wheeled me out to my car after I was discharged to go home. I always remember her sweet smile and kindness. I told her what a sterling example she also was and how we were so blessed to still have her with us to relate her experiences with us and share that piece of history as well with us at that moment. ❤️🙏🏻 Thanks for doing this wonderful vlog, Jordan.
I have always been intrigued with Amelia Earheart's life journey. Beautiful house and lovely museum. Rest in peace Leonard. You are missed by many. Great idea for a brick in his honor there.
Jordan - This is a GREAT vlog!! Amelia Earhardt is one of my heroes!! I even portrayed her at a Foster Grandparent volunteer luncheon. And what a beautiful way to honor your friend, Leonard's, memory!! GREAT vlog job, Jordan!! 😊👍✌✈
I have always wanted to visit this home. I did not know that Amelia and her parents moved to DesMoines.I loved it! Thank you Lenard for being an Amelia fan, thank you Jordan for doing this in Lenard's memory as well as Amelia's memory!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Jordan....in 2018 the bones discovered on an island in the south Pacific have been declared by many to be Amelia. Robert Ballard the man who found the Titanic announced last month that he is going to search for her plane. I hope he finds it. Maybe Lenard can help with that. Lovely tribute to him.Great Vlog. I enjoy your vlogs because you truly find all this stuff fascinating, as I do.Thank You.
What a remarkable woman. Such a beautiful house. Love this vlog Amelia Earhart she truly was one of a kind. They've done a nice job on this Museum of her life. Rest in peace both Amelia Anna Leonard
I visited there with my historic preservation group several years ago. On the 2nd floor landing is a large painting that was either donated or was on loan from a Grant Rine, a oncologist from Wichita (who also runs an architectural salvage business). I have met him personally on at least 2 occasions, once at the architectural salvage store, and once as a patient.
What a beautiful, beautiful home! I hope I get to experience this someday. Lenard was right. She was a very special person. When I was little we used to go across the country on road trips and we always stopped at historical homes. I love this sort of thing so much. Thanks Jordan! xoxo
😊👍 Jordan, that's great way to honor your friend! I'm betting Lenard was smiling down from heaven when you made this vlog in his memory! Love Amelia's grandmothers house and Amelia, for not letting the fact that she was female get in the way of her dreams of being a pilot!
Amelia was a strong incredible woman. Such a beautiful home. Jordan, that is such a wonderful thing to do by getting the brick for Lenard. He would definitely love that. Your so caring and genuine. Much love to you and Jah ❤❤🦁
As an aviation enthusiast I have always been intrigued and fascinated by the life and story of Emilia Earhart, this was just terrific. I’m sure Lenard enjoyed it from his new home in heaven as much as we did and the pathway brick is a great way to honor and memorialize Lenard, yours is a kind and warm soul Jordan!
In a class of her own (forever!) - strong adventurous, intelligent, imaginative, courageous - mad respect! Eg of how high women can fly! No limits! What a house! A great tribute to Lenard -mad respect to you also Lenard for loving such an iconic aviator.
What a beautiful home! I'll bet Amelia had lots of fun there when she was a kid. Glad to see other homes of the period are still there in the neighborhood too. Very interesting vlog!
What a lovely lasting tribute to Lenard. I think he would have loved that. Amelia's home is so beautiful. I love looking at all the things people had in their homes. I hope at some point we finally find out what happened to her. Her memory is being kept alive by this beautiful home and all the stories that are told about her. Thank you for mentioning my donation yesterday. I was surprised when you said my name. I just wanted to wish you a happy birthday and to help out with the expenses. I know these trips take money. Thank you for bringing us to Amelia's house. I enjoyed it. Safe Travels and Take Care.
Amelia Earhart has always been a heroine to me....what a surprise to find out that Lenard was a fan too, he would have loved this vlog. And what a lovely childhood home Amelia had. Thank you Jordan.
Robert Ballard, the underwater explorer who found the Titanic, has a new quest -- searching for the plane of famed aviatrix Amelia Earhart, who disappeared over the Pacific in 1937. It said they will use sonar to map the ocean floor and deploy remotely operated vehicles, including one that can dive as deep as 13,000 feet (3,962 meters).
You are a very thoughtful and generous friend Jordan. That was an outstanding choice to honor Lenard. Great vlog, and a very interesting story. I we can help purchase the brick, let the Lionhearts know, and I know there are those of us that will help. Thanks Jordan! Be safe brother!
What a loving thought to do in remembrance to your friend, Lenard. So sweet! And I love that how everything in Emelia's house is so ornate and turned back into time. Life as we know it was so much different back then. I've always been fascinated by Amelia so being able to see her house was so cool.
Thank you for doing this video. I live in Kansas about an hour from Atchison and I have never been to this museum. I must visit now! Your tribute to Lenard was so nice. Getting a brick with his name is fabulous. I always enjoy your vlogs.
I thought this was a wonderful vlog, so interesting Jordan! I also thought she was a cutie! Very attractive. Its pretty cool to see the room she was born in. Such a beautiful home. I think it was beautiful and very touching of you to dedicate this vlog to Lenard. To purchase a brick and put his name on it is very thoughtful, Jordan. RIP Lenard ✨
You're all correct. She was attempting to fly around the world. Her trip from New Guinea to Howland Island was a long one (over 2500 miles, all ocean). Her last known position ( via radio transmission) was approx 100 miles west of Howland Island. It is believed she ran out of fuel.
What a beautiful home and lovely view from Amelia’s front door! Amelia Earhart is one of those people I was always interested in reading about and who had such a sad ending. Your Kansas/Oklahoma vlogs have been some of the very best ever, and that’s saying a lot! Thanks, Jordan. What a wonderful and touching tribute to your friend Lenard. ♥️
Lovely vlog. Really interesting! Earhart was a true pioneer and it's so sad she was lost in the Pacific. Lenard would be so happy you bought a brick in his honour.
Great vlog on a real American icon. She landed here in Charlotte, NC in an airfield just 5 miles from my home many years ago. The airfield is now gone and so is Fort Greene which was nearby. Also, that's a wonderful tribute to Lenard.
A great vlog, Jordan, and an absolutely wonderful way to do something for Lenard's memory. I'm sure his family will appreciate it. I loved this house. It's gorgeous! Thank you.
Jordan, what an Amazing vlog!!! Thank you for taking us along with you on your travels. I am a Big Fan of your travel vlogs. I loved this house!!! What a view Amelia had as a child. No wonder she dreamed of flying. That view would make anyone want to soar among the clouds. I adore the fact that this house was lovingly restored to reflect the time and styles of Amelia's childhood. As an Interior Designer, I am always thrilled to see a home or museum that is historically and tastefully preserved. I love the fact that her sister had a hand in selecting and donating items to this museum. I did get choked up when you dedicated the vlog to Lenard. I think that he would have loved seeing this vlog. The donation of a brick in his memory is very fitting and quite a testament to your friendship. You have the Biggest Heart, dear Lion!!!
Hi Jordan, what a beautiful looking house with loads of character. How nice that they actually have quite a few things of her's aswell. One of those unsolved mysteries that will probably never be solved, which is a shame for the family. How great that you are getting a brick for Lenard. Great vlog Jordan.
Jordan this is a wonderful vlog. The house is so beautiful and the neighborhood as well. I know of Amelia Earhart but through this vlog I have learned so much more. At the end I seriously teared up when you did such a wonderful thing buying a brick in Lenard's memory. I absolutely loved this vlog. Thank you Jordan you are very special. Peace, Love and Happiness to you.
Touched by heart that you would do that for Leonard. You're a good man. Thanks for all you do for so many people you don't know but who appreciate you so much.
I saw one of Emilia s flight outfits with leather jacket in the Smithsonian in DC. I was surprised to see how small she must have been by the looks of her clothes less than 120 pounds. This was very interesting to see how the home is like a time capsule. RIP Emilia ,you left too soon.
So this museum is to pay homage to Amelia and her feats of flight... very nice!! Have a awesome day, Jordan, great travel vlog today. Thanks so much Jordan!! RIP Lenard. Awesome tribute Jordan❤️🌺🌼🌸🌷🌷👏🏻🎵🎶🎸🥁🌻🌻👩🏻💻

Great vlog. I too love Amelia. What an inspiration she is. She did so many things in her short time on earth. Beautiful home. Those windows are stunning. Thanks for taking us here Jordan. I had tears in my eyes when you mentioned the brick tribute. I’m going to buy one too! 🦁❤️. Amelia spent a year here in St Paul while her father was in between jobs. 💕

Knew very little about Amelia Earhart, very interesting place Jordan, loved that you dedicated this vlog to Lenard, hope wherever he is he enjoys it, Thankyou xxx
That was great. Amelia Earhart's stepson George Putnam used to be our neighbor down the street. He was an old curmudgeon LOL. Just died about 10 or so years ago.
Thats really cool, you getting that brick for your friend, that's says alot about who you are, not very many people like that anymore, loyalty, good deal Jordan
I enjoyed the vlog that you did on Amelia Earhart. I was watching the original Unsolved Mysteries with Robert Stack and I happened to catch the episode either yesterday or it was on Friday. Beautiful vlog for Lenard may he is resting in peace. Stunning home, love the details of the stain glass. Do you think Amelia looked like a Kennedy? If she crashed near PNG, good chance she was canablised but then again there are many islands in south pacific. Great work Jordan
Fine video! Wasn't that a beautiful house! Thank you for sharing her history. I live near Purdue University, Amelia taught and of course left her mark in West Lafayette. Seeing her birth place and family home was great. Again, thank you Jordan!

Great vlog! I have been there and you did a wonderful job. And what a wonderful tribute to Lenard to get him a brick. Jordan, I just love this Vlog of Amelia Earhart. You did a Great job lots of Information about Her. I'm a Fan Of Hers too. Here's a Little Bit of info that alot of people don't Know about Amelia Went and Saw Shirley Temple upon request Two Days before Her Flight. She stayed Quite a Few Hours With Shirley on that Day. It was A Big Dream of Sherley's To Meet Her. It was Reported Shirley Temple Fell Apart of The Fact Amelia May Be Dead. Shirley Was Around Six, or Seven Years old back then. Thank You ! Jordan for Doing This Vlog.
I really enjoyed this vlog. After watching, I rented both Amelia movies from the library. Such an interesting woman, and tragic end. Thank you for the vlog.

I thought that she was lost over the South Pacific, not the Bermuda Triangle.
You're correct about that. I believe she and her navigator were last seen in New Guinea and then disappeared somewhere in the south central pacific.
I agree, they say she might have been captured by Japanese troops on an island in the South Pacific
Yes I agree. Wasn't Howland Island was a focal point in the search ?
@@debbieclark7031 yes it was

Great vlog! I have been there and you did a wonderful job. And what a wonderful tribute to Lenard to get him a brick. I am not sure if you stayed at night time but the AE bridge is lit up and they say around there so that she can find her way home. And that view from the front of the house is amazing!
You should go check out the Jesse James Burial site and farm museum
Great! And such a nice gesture to Lanard! ❤
That's really nice that you did it in Lenard's memory.

Great way to honor your friend. Thumbs up!
I really enjoyed this vlog. After watching, I rented both Amelia movies from the library. Such an interesting woman, and tragic end. Thank you for the vlog.
