Also here in trinidad the vehicle theft is high nissan & toyota are the highest, number one on the list of stolen cars here is the toyota aqua.. These things happen all over the world but sorry to hear this happened to you
My husband has a small car rental business and all cars have trackers. His Axio car was stolen a few months ago by someone who hired the vehicle. Tracker was removed. Reported to police and there is nothing they can do. Its an island wide problem.

found your channel several weeks ago re: your vlogging about Hurricane Beryl. you all are such a nice family, really sorry all of that + the car theft happened. and it was stolen from your home? and no way to gate cars in? maybe there can soon be some kind of preventative solution because once is bad enough but as it's the 2nd time easy to understand the frustration + what an inconvenience. and insurance where we live, the price points can be very costly depending on one's age and gender. women have it a bit easier than boys & men between a certain age. but it must be be sky high down there in Jamaica if the theft stats are bad. well, hopefully by now (late July) you have a new car? heartbreaking that people prey on other people like that - and I know there are desperate folks all over the world but also sounds like it might be a business? as you said they're professional thieves? so maybe some kind of organized criminal enterprise. one thing I always wondered - because I'm stateside, west coast - is how do people get away with stealing vehicles on an island?? just seems so strange! because where can they take the cars and not be seen? but I'm sure it seems that way because even though I can see Jamaica on maps I don't have a strong sense of miles/kilometers - like the experience of getting how long and wide it really is...and I wonder if they ever take the cars to other islands, if that's ever cost effective. but maybe it's for parts - in which case breaking down the cars makes it more difficult to catch them. also you guys would know more than we would but hard to not wonder how many police might be on the take which would make it even more difficult to stop the problem. I know in our state, California, stealing certain kinds of cars for the catalytic converters got popular some years ago. and if they have an opportunity to not be seen they'll just take the converter and leave the car! law enforcement says they take them for the extracting the gold used to make them.

I was wondering doesn’t you guys have the push start technology on your vehicle, because with the push start only if the keys are left inside your car, that’s the only way they can take your vehicle, are if they have a tow truck, again sorry for your loss ❤
