The way Steve Rogers caught that spear was pure badass...

The thing that gets me about this scene every time is the look of absolute faith on Wanda/Vision's eyes when they see Steve Rogers. Like nothing is impossible for him, if he's there it's gonna be all right.

I'm rewatching this scene for the first time in awhile and I'm like man how did we go from this to how bad the MCU is these days?
Now that Bob Iger is back, the MCU can hopefully go back to its old routes

The Marvel movies have always had varying quality.
The first Thor was okay but not amazing. Iron Man 2 was meh. Thor 2 was... yeah. Age of Ultron was a whiff. Feels like everyone is remembering the highs of the infinity saga without remembering the turkeys and comparing what's come out lately to that.
Guarantee you a decade from now people are going to be having conversations about whatever the current MCU stuff is and wondering why we can't have more stuff like Loki or Shang Chi or Guardians 3.
Two major issues:
1 - exacerbating plot lines, there’s only so much they can do for each plot line before it becomes more ridiculous. If they had put more spacing between each project, they would probably still have decently strong plots now.
2 - Disney. A kids production company buying out a major action company. Recipe for shitty underdeveloped writing.
There’s obviously more causes but those two are the most significant in my opinion

When I saw this in the theater I yelled!!! One of the greatest appearances in an action movie ever!! I miss my old Avengers!!!
The whole theatre I was in started whooping and cheering
This was my "jump out of my seat, shout out loud and pump my fist," moment. And not like a Zemo fist pump, but like the real kind. I can't remember another scene hitting me quite the same way.

Nobody is supposed to be able to catch that spear once it is thrown. So Cap doing that is beyond amazing. That's why she was shocked.
He's had a lot of practice catching flying objects over the years.
I came for this. No one catches her weapon. But Cap? He did. And that startled her to her core.

Yeah, no one can catch Proxima's spear. This scene is also happened in a comic named "INFINITY"
Kinda foreshadows how shocked Thanos will be when Cap catches his Infinity Gauntleted hand and manages to immobilize it for five full seconds -- apparently using nothing more than sheer moral outrage.
Chris Evans as Cap is perfect. And his introduction in this scene ALWAYS gives me goosebumps

Love the look on Wanda’s face at 1:05. You can practically see the thought bubble: “You have no idea the can of whupass that’s about to be opened on you…”
Honestly, they probably helped the bad guys more by not letting Wanda do her thing

That's not the way I took it at all, I think at this point she's still discovering her powers, if she knew her full capabilities, she would have never fled in the first place and murked them both when Vision was first stabbed, that look she gave (imo) was more of "I have no choice but to fight now that we're trapped", you can clearly see how relieved both Wanda and Vision were when Cap showed up. 🤔

Infinity War as perfect in every aspect. Really felt the threat throughout the entire movie.
Imma say it, Evans as Captain America IS THE BEST CHARACTER CASTING EVER.
As good as RDJ. Imo he carried the franchise just as much as RDJ.
Remember, kids: Steve Rogers doesn’t like bullies. He doesn’t care where they’re from. Three blocks down, outer space, it doesn’t matter- a bully is a bully, and now Steve has a body that can actually hit back.
Probably the best scene in the film, gives me chills every time
Top 5. My favorite is Thor arriving in Wakanda.
That's the best movie in the MCU. Maybe tied with first Avengers.
I would also add Cap picking up Thor's hammer and taking on Thanos one-on-one in End Game. The audience went crazy when that happened!

When I first saw this in theater, the audience's reaction was quite remarkable. Never mind that he was an outlaw who had screwed the pooch in his last movie outing, or that he wasn't anywhere near the most powerful of the Avengers -- people were still going, "Oh, thank God! CAPTAIN AMERICA's here! Everything will be all right!" Which is a pretty compliment both for Chris Evans' performance and for his character's stature as the Big Good of the Marvel Universe.

I know most fans love Thor's entrance later in the movie more but for me this entrance is better because it's just pure badassery. The way Cap walks out of the shadows with a look on his face that says "you really want to F around with my friends? Then you're about to find out"
This scene is how you feel when a bully messin wit your little brother and you show up unannounced

it is SUCH a freaking tradgedy that Rogers didnt' show up during the Scarletvision/Multiverse of madness fiasco. If she would listen to ANYONE, it would have been him.
Even Hawkeye. Hawkeye is the one who made her an Avenger.
Fiasco is a good word to use.
IMHO this is one big reason why Phase 4 of the MCU tanked. Without its Big Good, the Marvel Universe has no direction.

It's just telling when two of, if not the two most powerful Avengers show relief when Cap shows up.
The final battle of Endgame was incredible, but the entire Infinity War movie was like a love letter to MCU fans for the first ten years of films. Every character entrance was perfect

In End game, Cap got badly beaten by thanos, then thanos summon his army, at that moment cap got up and tighten up is broken shield. Wow, what a character.
His arm was gashed open at the strap as well, which also pulled it together staunching the bleeding. Many people miss the smallest details
This scene was worth having a whole section of my local train station closed off for months. My only regret is they didn't have a fight scene inside Edinburgh Castle. :)
I always love seeing Wanda and Vision's faces once Cap is revealed, like "you guys are fucked now."

This scene is a reason why the MCU was so damn good. I say WAS. They just don't have this magic anymore. You can't replace Cap, Black Widow, and Scarlet Witch. The Marvels are never going to cut it.

If the bad guys knew Captain's backstory they know he is a beast for taking a beating and keep coming back! Not to mention Super strong, fast, all fighting styles and super smart. He was great in this series of movies!

@@MCClark it's got nothing to do with easter eggs. I'm talking about why cap widow and falcon were able to fare better than scarlet witch and vision. Vision and Wanda were ambushed, vision was wounded and couldn't use all his powers while Wanda was forced to protect both of them. On the other hand caps team did the ambushing. In a prolonged fight they would struggle with this guys

Two superpowered aliens over-powered one of the most OP characters in the MCU, while one super soldier with two regular ass humans over powered the “1.5” super aliens… Lmao

If you're talking about vision like I said when they stabbed him is prevented him from using his powers properly. If you're talking about wanda tho, its simply because wanda was nowhere near as powerful as she is later on. Otherwise she would've gave them the black Adam treatment 😂
