crazy how fast a crowd goes from cheering and applauding a badass fight scene to literally silence and sobbing when tony dies. It's crazy how marvel have the power to do that, and have created characters that we feel like we all know so we're genuinely sad when they die. Thank you Stan Lee
You have to admit, after spending years of establishing themselves in the MCU, seeing all those heroes and characters pour in and unite into that army is one of the best scenes in cinema history.

I was pregnant in 2019 , I lied at work that my car broke down. , took the train to Stuttgart to watch the endgame in English. And it was the best ever thing I did.

@@Math-xt6kh That would be an understatement. It would be absolute chaos. The MCU timeline is the most important piece of media for an entire generation, arguably on the same level as what Star Wars was during the originals. Keeping this a secret for an entire year by the entire team behind the movie would be excruciating and probably not possible, and bits and pieces of the story would slip out. When endgame would inevitably come out, it would be a less fulfilling experience because of the wait and spoilers. It would have been horrible, basically, so thank god it didnt happen
36:42 The fact that Peter doesn't know that Tony changed his mind and helped with this "Time Heist" all because he looked at a picture of him and Peter. 🥺
Peter was a son to Tony and he imagined Peter as like what he was his age and took notice on how much he regretted not enjoying his dad's company when he was alive. So, therefore, Tony saw himself in Peter and tried being the father figure that Peter never had in his life just like what Tony had to endure
Also because of peter, tony could succeed at his time machine tech because the picture of tony and peter, peter was holding the certificate inverted, and tony also said the time machine to be displayed as inverted. Ik some of the people knew this.
Jacob Sass I think it’s more that, he’s the guy who killed half of everyone - people would sorta feel awkward clapping no matter how much they enjoyed the character. With Loki, he’s not really a villain anymore - plus we get to see him played for laughs and such, so we’re pretty fine clapping for him. Thanos is the best villain in the MCU though. Loki, Killmonger, Kingpin, Vulture, Hela, etc are all fantastic, but Thanos has is such a high bar.
Jacob Sass Applause ain't needed. He proved it by portraying Thanos. Just think about it, Thanos is probably as famous, if not, even more famous than both Supes and Batman.
I watched both films and came to find the audience reactions after both. I was living in China so I didn’t get the US experience for Endgame but the audience in China were still great!
I was so overloaded with emotion in the theatre the first time I saw it, I almost had to leave. I was shaking uncontrollably in the endgame fight, surprised I didn't feint lol
@treeko 10k I dunno about all that. I agree for the most part about Marvel not being able to repeat this. It was many years in the making, and a massive investment. I'm not sure they'll be willing to take the risk on future characters but who knows. As for the "woke" stuff, I think people should give films the benefit of the doubt before stating things like that. The comics may have that sort of thing, but I doubt many movies will because Hollywood likes money above all, and if woke films don't sell, (which they don't seem to), then they won't make them. Shang-Chi is coming, as well as a new Blade. I'd watch those before I watch most DCEU movies, except for maybe the next Shazam, and/or if they were to make a new and better Constantine.
@treeko 10k I'm not sure how Michael Keaton returning as Batman automatically makes the DCEU's plans good. Nor do I believe the Snyder Cut will fix the Justice League. Snyder did Man of Steel (which I enjoyed a little), and BvS (which I didn't), so it's not like just because he's working on it means guaranteed success.
I remember when Tony was like “I am iron man” and then everyone started screaming because they were happy. And I was just sitting there already crying because I knew it was gonna kill him. It just felt really strange
Fun fact the random teenager towards the back of Tony’s funeral isn’t really all that random he’s the boy that helped him build all the stuff that allowed him to get into the mandarins house in the third movie
on the night of release, our cinema got kicked out after the signatures went up with staff saying there were no 'Post credit extras, couple of hundred people went nuts LOL
Cap proved that not everything special about him came out of a bottle. And tony proved that he would lay down on the wire and make the sacrifice. Their first impressions of eachother were oh so wrong
@@andresbarriga5305 it was amazing to see. So many movies, so many characters. The character development has been amazing. And those who weren't as fleshed out in the films are getting their own shows. Very exciting
It's like no matter which actor you love seeing play Spider Man, or even if you don't like Tom Holland's portrayal as some fans of the MCU and Comic Book lovers have spoken about, just seeing Spider-Man be dusted sends you all the emotions, because it's heckin Spider-Man.
Marvel should start recording reactions at select screenings then include them as a track in the Blu-ray release so you can have the option of watching with an audience at home.
Same at my first time seeing. Probably cause they (meaning Feige, and the screenwriters) saved it for a meaningful moment. They could’ve used it in that group shot in the first Avengers, and faked us out on Age Of Ultron. But Endgame was the right movie to do it.

Warms my heart how much everyone universally loves Spider-Man above the rest no matter who plays him or what incarnation it is.

Can you imagine the pandemic hitting a year earlier and this movie wouldve been postponed and/or just shown on Disney+? JESUS CHRIST.
Everyone would have been pissed
@@Math-xt6kh lmao
@@Math-xt6kh That would be an understatement. It would be absolute chaos. The MCU timeline is the most important piece of media for an entire generation, arguably on the same level as what Star Wars was during the originals. Keeping this a secret for an entire year by the entire team behind the movie would be excruciating and probably not possible, and bits and pieces of the story would slip out. When endgame would inevitably come out, it would be a less fulfilling experience because of the wait and spoilers.
It would have been horrible, basically, so thank god it didnt happen
That would have been so much BULLSH!T
Glad to see where your priorities are.
Damn,It’s 2024 and I still have the goosebumps from this moments.
It was the thing they were holding
Also because of peter, tony could succeed at his time machine tech because the picture of tony and peter, peter was holding the certificate inverted, and tony also said the time machine to be displayed as inverted. Ik some of the people knew this.
the upside down picture gave tony the idea how to make the machine work..
i don't think so he was working on this for 5 years already tony is not the type of person who will just quit
It makes me sad that Josh Brolin as Thanos barely got any applause. He's a damn good character
No one really knew his character when he showed up in Infinity War. The respect was earned after that movie.
Uh he killed half the universe man
I'm not biased but I'm glad Tom Hiddleston got more.
Jacob Sass Applause ain't needed. He proved it by portraying Thanos. Just think about it, Thanos is probably as famous, if not, even more famous than both Supes and Batman.
Everyone was so hype and laughing in the last fight scene, and then Tony Stark died, you hear people sniffing.

Lust?
