Awesome as usual. Todd's music saved my life. This man knows the heart and the power and heartbreak of love. And he was young.....but always a old soul. Thank you Todd a Rundgren.

Okay. VERY good performance. But I DO have problems with the strings. TOO earnest. "Il brutamente". TOO animated. TOO "trying too hard". And I say that as a cellist. And a fan of the original song. The true beauty of the original is the UNDERSTATEMENT. They could have taken this tune and "Helter Skeltered" it to death. But John, Paul GEORGE, and Ringo did not. One of the most understated performances of the Fab Four on record. This is not a song to be OVER-done. And this video IS.

I find it odd he's not playing lead.
Even if this was studio verson rather than live.....Eric Claptons version is far superior from The GH tribute, as is the version wth the Travelling Wllbury's with Georges son and Prince. Perhaps I am biased as I grew up in a 'Beatlemania 'household of Scousers n the 60's and 70's when George was considered the superior Beatle and independent after the split. I have tried to like this but simply cannot!

Joe frequently does covers. I usually hate people doing covers because it sounds like kereoke, with no originality at all...hence, no point. (Hence, Clapton with this particular song. Most overrated man in the business IMHO.) But Joe is a BIG exception. He makes cover songs his own, and they are sometimes better than the original. On this one he makes Todd look pretty good. And nothing against Todd. But he is no JJ. But, then again, who is?
Using my son's account, but anyways, I was disappointed. Not sure why they came together for this..I wouldn't say it's neccessarily complimentary, and other than enjoying Joe's high notes, I felt it was uninspired, and still haven't figured out why all the string performers had to act like they had ants in their pants.

I knew a kid that liked a McDonald's hamburger better than Prime Rib. I think every human should be required by law t o listen to while my guitar at least once a week-so obviously have a few different versions of this song is necessary - this is a very good and odd version - would love to have mixed a guitar solo in with the strings to make it even better -and include the "look from the wings at the play you are staging" verse
Can someone talk Disturbed into making a version of Gently weeps ?
