What foam did you use in the bottom of the case? TYIA!!
zip n fit shelf liner!
I do like Drop's bits, mostly. I am typing this on a low-profile Ctrl. Of the things I like about Drop, low-profile might be in last place. But, I have just dismantled a high-profile ALT to make it quiet. It came with Halo Trues, which I actually like a lot. I have some hot off the press Holy Panda X for it. A big thumbs up for this video. Life is good.
thank you!
the +15 dB boost version seems to more closely match the recording level of the first clip, more of a fair comparison
It’s as loud! But the pre-boost is actually a fair comparison since irl side by side THATS close to how they’d compare, the boost is just to give you an idea of how load you need to boost the audio to get it to the same audio level!
For a second I thought your beanie was your hair
Woah the quality of ur vids broo ur super underrated
dang that sounds absolutely amazing holy shit omy god ong
dang oh my god like holy shit bro like i love you bb
The quality of this channels AMAZING! Keep it up man, and the board sounds really good.
What camera do you use if you don't mind me asking?
Thank you man I really appreciate that! And so far I've used an XT-3 for all my keeb videos!
@@AnzelLmao Looks great!
Dude u made a great vid. Really enjoyed watching. I have the exact keyboard with halo true switches and I could not agree more with you. Going to take your advice and make some mods.
Cable Cult thanks man! Good luck, it should be pretty easy!
Can you share the name of the cable for drop ctrl.
it's a custom-made cable!
are sakurios good at all? the ones from zealpc
yup! But not as quiet and very expensive
Bro this is so lit woahhhhhh
wow your so lit woaahhhh
is it Gasket mounted???
Integrated plate!
ey bro can you change the stabs on that one?
yup! I would definitely recommend durock or everglide plate mounts!
What else is silent and deadly 👀...
definitely not the pharmacy's farts. still deadly tho LOL
Great video man keep up the good work!
Shai Haim thank you so much, I really appreciate the support😊
Too quiet for me.
mission accomplished ;)
Niceee!!!
thanks man, I appreciate it!
What foam did you use?
Just some shelf liner
@@AnzelLmao Do you know what thickness the foam was?
Linear switches?
Yessir!
@@AnzelLmao any ways to make a silent keyboard out of tactile switches (e.g. pandas) ?
@@thejokesonlife3745 unfortunately not if the stems aren't silent. Switches that are silenced by putting rubber on the stem rails, which is something done in factory. If you want silent tactiles, I'd recommend taking a look at Boba u4s, aliaz switches, zilent v2s, or gateron silent browns.
sounds like over lubed switches
Hahaha they definitely could be slightly overlubed, as this was only my 3rd set of switches that I had lubed at the time. But tbh durock's silent switches do tend to sound like a regular switch that's been overlubed, especially in this video where I boosted the audio by +15db, and the switches sound wayyyy louder than irl.
@@AnzelLmao idk about that. I heard it while it wasn't boosted. I think it would have sounded a lot better if not for the wet sound.
@@yoavco99 i mean technically you buy these switches for the lack of sound LOL, but yeah this is just what these switches tend to sound like as well
@@AnzelLmao If you say so.
@@AnzelLmao the sound I didn't like didn't come from the switch it cam from the lube therefore a "wet sound" but still I guess it could just be the switch itself.
how did you install 5 pin switches in the CTRL?
clip the 2 plastic legs!
@@AnzelLmao thanks mate
