Also the fixed set ups and equal equipment these have make it alot more competive than IRL unfortunately. Can't wait for these cars though still!!

@@SurrealCereal they will survive but will have to pit to not cut down a tire
iRacing doesn't yet have a mechanic where body damage can cut a tire anyway, so we won't know if that's really true until February.
You can already tell based on the first lap wipeout that these cars have little to no sideforce, which is great.

Erik jones has some serious skill at this track.
Once Iracing gets this car right it's going to be really fun but right now it's really easy to drive with a small lack of feedback on ffb.
We can't take these car's as what real life will be because let's be honest, very few people have ever driven the next gen car and it's still in development so this is far from a finished product but it's really awesome of NASCAR and Iracing to do this so far ahead of next season

I think this shows how much of a handicap the current gen6 aero package is. These drivers aren't used to having to work the car so much for stable driving which is causing so many wrecks. I hope they have these cars figured out before daytona

The Next Gen cars. That barely anyone has driven. At a track where one of its slogans is “To Tough To Tame”. That should equal a formula for disaster. It was an alright race to watch though ngl

Boy oh boy all these crashes sure do give me hope for the real life next gen car. Lol in all honesty though, I love the front end of the new designs but I think the rear is fugly. Too short and rounded.
