I try to watch on HD and let me tell you , that was not a showing either . WTF NASCAR ?
NASCAR doesn't like or want fans anymore. NASCAR gave NBC the deal. They could have insisted that NBC air last nights race on broadcast over-the-air TV (same with 2 wks ago at Watkins Glen, which I also would have watched).

@@mlkidd9 Nah, Fox puts a large number of races on FS1.
Indycar made network broadcast a big priority in their TV deal to get more people watching, so 13 out of 17 races were on NBC. All it really cost them was one race (Toronto) that was Peacock-exclusive.
Nascar isn't so concerned with that, because their ratings on FS1 and USA are still pretty good, in fact they sometimes get higher ratings for Xfinity races on USA than Indycar races on NBC. So their TV deal had 11 races on Fox, 10 on FS1, 10 on NBC, and 10 on USA.

I just want to see Jones at Darlington in top tier equipment, once in my life. The dude gets something special at that track.

That 11 crew sure does know how to throw a race in the trash. And Denny is no better on pit road with penalties. Bet they've binned more races that they could've won, than they've actually won.

Yeah me too, he was gonna win that race, if he hadn't got that penalty pitting just after the caution came out. It was Reddick's fault for trying to pit and causing Newman to spin out and bringing out that caution smh.

Yeah almost had it in the bag they should have gave Tyler a penalty he was on the track passed yhe commitment line slowing down causing a wreck
@@D1aNdOnLyNiCkx3Reddick wasn’t past the commitment line on the track. Reddick and Newman was on the track while Harvick was on his way to Pit road. That’s why we see Larson, Byron and another driver get back on the track at last second when caution came out.
I remember the first race I saw Larson in Cup. Knew then that kid was special.
That's because he's a dirt track racer, not a pampered little silver spoon that daddy bought a ride for like most of the rest of the steering wheel holders out there!

Harvick will win a race this season in his final season. Harvick is big threat with these races coming up. Some of these tracks in playoffs is his best tracks , won’t be surprised if Harvick don’t get in on points in round of 12 then win race to make it round of 8 and then win make it to final 4 and u know what’s going happen then Harvick wins championship in his last race before retirement. Now that’s a story to be written in history books
The man who took on the pressure of taking over Dale Sr team all those years back definitely deserves a big hurrah for his final playoffs

Chastain gaining a little momentum at the right time, could be a potential threat for the final four as long as he keeps it clean but agressive
I feel bad for Burton; minding his own and gets a car thrown right in front of him. Looked like a hard whack.

They should definitely have the commitment line as-is but they should also have a painted box before the commitment line where, if you're in that box when the red light goes off, you're either allowed to pit or you're allowed to pass-through the pits and retake your position. If Harvick tried to turn right, he'd have caused another wreck by taking Byron out. What the heck Reddick was doing, I don't know but NASCAR has indicated in the past what "deliberately causing a wreck" looks like and jumping on the binders in the middle of a corner at Darlington is certainly an example of that and should have been penalized.
I think Reddick is the only one that thought he'd make it in time down there. Team needs to have a long talk on that communication. Totally screwed Harvick and could've ended his own day with how heavy Newman was coming
When Kyle was in 2nd with Denny leading, I couldn't help but keep thinking, I would love to see Kyle take Denny out.

There should be a box line within 30 ft before the red or yellow light coming into the pit the car or cars in the box are safe to pit .

Thought it was going to be a race dominated by Hamlin, but when Hamlin got in trouble it turned out to be pretty good. So many great drivers . I don't think there's any room for any rookies, for awhile anyway.

Why can't they change the rule that if your already off the track with clear intentions of coming to pit road you can pit. Or at least say when the caution comes out the field is froze and you drive through and get your spot back. 2 seconds ruined several guys nite.
They have it. Bad luck for the 4 on the timing, but they should have kept going down pit road and not stopped and reblended off pit road. Would still have lost a lot of positions, but not the whole field because of servicing the car. BAD TIMING

Specifically, what if he doesnt actually stop but drives through? I heard Little E mention that he possibly could have avoided the penalty if he had just driven through pit road, back onto the track and come back when the pits opened a lap or 2 later

So now here is something I question in regards to calls with NASCAR right now...especially with a track like this...how far down do you have to be to actually be committed to pit lane...as far down as Harvick was he was obviously committed well before the line...sometimes commitment lines need to be shifted at certain tracks...
There is a cone and a line that you have to be across to be committed. He didn't cross the line before the light turned red
@@lunarday2329 But it seemed like once the light turned red there was no chance of avoiding the line. If you even straddle the orange box at the end of the line, you get a penalty no matter which way you go.
@@UNHchabo the penalty wasn't on driving into pit road under red, it was stopping under the red light. He could have drove down it and pit on caution
