Keep talking to the stick, Mitch. You guys are the most valuable assets that NASCAR hasn’t hired yet. I could pick you guys out of a crowd and could never thank you enough for this channel.
Did you notice all the sand pitting on the windshield of the Welborn 57 Chevy Convertible? Also, loved the 'rat eaten drivers suit'! Great post, as always!!
It would be very interesting to see the chassis of the 66 Charger. That is some old school raw torque and horse power there. So many LEGEND cars side by side.
These are sooo cool . I love the body lines on the 70's and 80's cars and for me that brings back some amazing memories. I wish I would have been able to see these cars in person at a big track racing back in the day. Oh days gone by.
❤❤❤. Thank you for your dedication to Motorsports and I proudly support you and your merchandise. Keep up the amazing work you and your loyal Lady do. Loghard
I ,love all the stuff you guys do. I lived in Charlotte back in 1975 and worked on a project close to DARLINGTON. I toured the old museum and remember all the cheaters parts they had on display. A lot has changed since then and I need to tour that place again. Thanks again for all the work you put in to these history videos that nobody else has done.
I was wondering who did those great portraits, and lo and behold, it was Jeanne Barnes. what a great job she did on those. Excellent presentation of this museum.
That Cale Yarborough Oldsmobile was a great looking race car! That was my favorite of his Hardee's schemes. This car and Bobby Allison's gold Miller sponsored Buick were two of the best paint schemes from 1988, at least IMO.
I first went to The Joe Weatherly Stock Car Museum (at Darlington) in 1975 and it was set up way different than it is today. My last visit was probably around 1992 and it has changed a lot between those two times. Thanks for sharing.
I am glad you asked about the artist. Very talented. Very good High school friend actually drove a Hudson Jet. The Hudson Jet looked very compact compared to Hornet. We car pooled in that car starting college in 1969. Many fond memories in the Hudson Jet. Great video , Thanks Mitchell and Logan.
Quite a museum!!! Thanks for the tour--I'm off to watch the track video. BTW, nice progress on the race car. Can't wait to see the segment in Ron's garage!!! Thx!!
I worked Darlington races from 1990 to 2004(SC Trooper working traffic). I knew that the museum was there but never realized how much history was in there. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy all your videos.
Great video Mitch, I got lucky enuff to get to the museum right B4 they wer' closing on an off season day. Loved your comment on being weird if caught off guard. That's why I follow you, your honest and realistic.keep up the great work, your the best, non -driver NASCAR content out there. I know you drive, but hopefully u know what I mean. 👍
Hey man watch all your stuff it's all so damn good. I'm from Darlington and grew up around the track and in the museum. Did they not have DW'S wrecked 17 car? They had it for years
As always, I love your videos. The passion you show for preserving the history of the sport is second to none. We can’t forget where we came from, even though so many want to. Again, thank you.
The two #87 cars used to be displayed at Griffin Motors in Florence on Irby street. The building is still there and is listed in the national register of historic places. Awesome content as usual! Keep em comin!
Awesome museum! Great job showing us around. I've been there maybe 15 years ago, and a lot has changed. Think my faves this time are the 57 Chevy and Million Dollar Bill's #9. When they were racing for that at Darlington they posted bodyguards in the pits.
Awesome Video!! Again Russell knocked it out of the park. His passion is second to none. I especially enjoyed Russell mentioning how Benny Parson's uniform had been eaten up by rats and the front was still salvageable. Also enjoyed your request for "Accountability" by having names associated with the confiscated illegal parts. Keep up the good work!!
I was a young Marine in 01'. Me and my dad went to the Southern 500 in September. We had an absolute blast, and Ward Burton won that race. I bought some of hus stuff from his merchandise hauler at the track. Meet some cool people in the parking lot after the rain storm
That is another amazing museum tour, I love all this history of NASCAR that you are able to find and all the people you interview. This is great to learn about the history of the sport I enjoy watching and how things evolved over the years and who the personalities were. Keep up the great work
I wish you could do something about Chicagoland Speedway, my home track. I’ve gone to quite few races, ARCA, Busch, Craftsman (never Cup, unfortunately). Hate that it’s storage and sold to warehouses now, especially since it sounds like a decent amount of drivers appreciated it. Johnny Sauter burning it down after his 2002 Busch win, at 5 years old, is forever burned into my memory
Love the video of the Darlington Museum, now I need to go find the other Darlington videos as well. Way too much time watching youtube, but recovering from a hip replacement so what better way to spend a hot June day!
Huge thumbs up👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍to you for another great NASCAR history video, appreciate it and you guys both! Just now getting in here to watch this video, but I'm there with you! Thank you so much!
Made it thru the whole video. I watched both Darlington videos. It was some really great content! Thanks, Mitchell and Logan! Can't wait till you drop the racecar build series.
Another great video Mitchell. Im excited to see your build series on your car. So cool Ron is willing to help you too. Can't wait to see it. Thanks again for all the efforts you put into these videos.
Never knew Cale drove an olds! Great video and your videos has helped me go though alot of crap in my life! Also I'm going to say that your apart of bringing the rock back to the nascar circuit!
Awesome video Mitch an Logan, as a resident of SC an been to Darlington several times, never knew it was there, have to check that out next time I go, thanks for another great video, an the drive to keep Nascar history alive!! Thanks again!!
I have been to this museum..It is a underated and not mentioned enough...This place is GREAT!,the ilegal parts display is just awesome, the thought these guys put into getting a edge...Also,check out the stock car cafe just down the road..cool place
I love all the stuff you guys do! Helps me remember a lot from my youth. I miss the racing from then. Thank you for the video. Been a fan for years and will always be.
I’m From Spartanburg live in Greer now and was just there at the museum on the 10th headed to the beach for vacation, unfortunately it was closed. I brought all my vintage nascar shirts to pose with the cars (Phil parsons, Neil bonnett, Tim Richmond, Harry gant, Larry Pearson, David Pearson and so on) as I collect those shirts
Awesome video, thanks for sharing with us, one day I hope to get back east to see these museums in person. Can't wait for yours and Logans build videos to come out!
What a classic the Hardee's oldsmobile. Any of the oldsmobile paint schemes were my favorite. Especially the Wynns Kmart Olds with lake speed, Buddy Baker Crisco #88 etc.
Another awesome video I’m from Darlington SC my granddad drove his semi around that track in the evenings to pack it down I was there for a lot of what was discussed in this video thanks again
Didn’t know we had lost Rudy Branham. He was on the racing radio show on 92.9 for a long time that covered racing from the cup series all the way down to the local levels when I was racing. Super good guy.
Once again a killer video. Your channel is the only one that I can honestly say when I get a notification of a new video I drop everything and watch it. I spent 15 years in the sport and loved it all the way till my last day. Safe travels, good health and I’ll see you on the next video.
Another GREAT video! I have that awesome Bill diecast in my collection. I watch all your videos but lately you've really been blistering some one timers into the net.
Yall are my favorite youtubers keep up the awesome work with out yall telling and showing and sharing nascar history and keeping it alive and that wat makes yall awesome youtubers
Man these videos are great! I was just watching this while rebuilding the carb on my 76 Triumph Spitfire. It was a little hard to focus on the carb itself with all the cool stuff going on in the video 😂
Another awesome video keep up the great work. It's always great to learn more about the about the history of nascar and the people behind the scenes that made nascar what is today
Another Outstanding History Video ! I am glad for all the connections that lead you to another story to be told. I am pretty sure that even More people will now know about this museum and hope they visit . When I first seen a few of the portraits I thought they looked like Jeanne Barnes art work, I still have some of her prints! Thank you for all the filming and edit work.
The red and white Oldsmobile seemed to be wa way ahead of its time. The dash was purpose built, windshield tie-downs, the side window frames rolled, body seams filled & the rt. side was one big slab. The builder had to have been around airplanes or applied airplane construction techniques. The creativity of the early builders was amazing. Nothing was cookiecutter about the builds until the late 90's / 2000's. One cool hotrod . One very cool video thats not cookiecutter either!
Darlington is my home racetrack not far from where I grew up in Charleston. Been a NASCAR fan since early 80's but it wasn't until the 1989 Darlington Southern 500 that I sat down and actually watched an entire race from flag to flag, Dale Sr won that day after a pretty dominant run then he won the next 2 races at Darlington after that. I was watching that day back in 1992 hoping Davey would win the million BUT the rains came & ruined his day. Always enjoy going there to see NASCAR racing when-ever I am back home & have been in that museum every time...
Visited that museum @1987. It was cool then, and much nicer now! Is there a Little stapleton43 in our future 16:07
Her wearing that Mark Martin shirt. Good lord 😍. You’re living the life Stapleton, keep it up!

Great post, as always!!
It would be very interesting to see the chassis of the 66 Charger. That is some old school raw torque and horse power there. So many LEGEND cars side by side.
The Charger is a replica...misrepresented. But a replica none the less.
I remember when Bill won the million dollars back in the day. That's a fantastic museum!
These are sooo cool . I love the body lines on the 70's and 80's cars and for me that brings back some amazing memories. I wish I would have been able to see these cars in person at a big track racing back in the day. Oh days gone by.

thank you Dennis!
I love visiting the museum in Darlington. Lots of history 👏🏼
There are some nice cars there. I remember when Elliot won the million dollars. I watched it at home. Thanks for showing me a good time.
Glad you enjoyed it Larry!

You’re doin the lords work again here guys. This is absolutely phenomenal.
love watching the history
The Harmonic thing on the dash in Cale's 29 car was put in his car to hold his sticks of chewing gum!
Interesting!
The cars and the paint schemes were off the charts back them. Greatest of times.
Quite a museum!!! Thanks for the tour--I'm off to watch the track video. BTW, nice progress on the race car. Can't wait to see the segment in Ron's garage!!! Thx!!

You're doing a great job of documenting the NASCAR history. It's awesome seeing details of each car. Great work.
Awesome video! I plan on seeing this in person!
I have to get to this museum so much history, and even model cars being a model builder I love it and being a nascar fan since birth it’s a must see
As always, I love your videos. The passion you show for preserving the history of the sport is second to none. We can’t forget where we came from, even though so many want to. Again, thank you.

Thanks for the great memories here and Godspeed to you on your racing endeavor
Appreciate you Scott!

what a great museum like the presentation. Neat
What a classic the Hardee's oldsmobile. Any of the oldsmobile paint schemes were my favorite. Especially the Wynns Kmart Olds with lake speed, Buddy Baker Crisco #88 etc.
Those Oldsmobiles were cool cars
@Stapleton42 yes they were. Sure do miss them. Especially when they ran the cutlass supreme
@Stapleton42 even the Buick regals, especially the Quaker State # 26, with Ruttman, Sheppard & Rudd. But was excited when they switched to Fords.
Also Buddys 88 Red Barron Pizza Olds Was Slick
@mattscherer3818 yes it was. The # 90 red baron with Schrader was as well. But yes. Any of the oldsmobiles had slick schemes
Another awesome video I’m from Darlington SC my granddad drove his semi around that track in the evenings to pack it down I was there for a lot of what was discussed in this video thanks again
Just wanted to say thank you for all the work you’ve done to persevere the history of racing and love your videos

Another excellent trip back in time. Thank you guys for keeping this going.
Our pleasure!
Visited that museum @1987. It was cool then, and much nicer now! As we left, they were mowing the infield and left the gate open, so we walked out onto the banking, and were promptly thrown out LOL
We had planned to have lunch at the Thunderbird Hotel, but ended up at the Hardees in Florence owned by Cale Yarborough.
In my opinion, this is the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Who wants to drive to downtown Charlotte?
That harmonica looking thing was so that Cale could Hummm along in tune going around the track....LOL!!!
This was awesome, also I totally understand being caught off guard, when I used to race dirt, and work at a university every so often people I had no idea who they were would come up to me, you’re Bryan you race even after the track closed for 3 or 4 years it would happen, now much less often I get recognized from my insta which is mostly just gardening on a scale some people consider a farm. The best response I’ve come up with is yes, yes I am, always nice to meet a fan or follower 😅.
I watched that video about the track tour I am actually plan visiting Darlington one of these days
Awesome content. Thanks for going the extra mile!
Thank you!
Once again I am amazed at the incredible video. You guys absolutely nail it.
And I bet having your own race car is just totally awesome. Just can’t imagine.
