    This machine should really have a camera. I just order one because I need multi filament but it’s kinda dated not to have a camera.

      I agree. Even if it was an additional cost. Thanks!

    I utilize the built-in magnet in a WyzeCam v3 on my Prusa XL. I just set it on the top of one of the top arms. Great for monitoring using the Wyze app from wherever I am.

    I am finishing up a mount today for a mount that is designed to hold an ESP32 webcam. It will need a screw and a few other parts but it will be fully contained within the XL. (Don't tell Prusa that it will be powered by the printer as well)

    • @tada3dprinting
      @tada3dprinting  5 месяцев назад

      Haha I wondered about that. Seems I have cords going everywhere. Thanks!

      @@tada3dprinting It would not be a good choice for what you use a camera for. It is not very high quality but it will allow remote monitoring of the print. The ESP32 boards are about $10 and run a webserver and camera with built in wifi. Sadly there is no good mounting point on the XL for it. The back corner would be the best place but there is no room with the 5 tool heads.

    • @WonkoTSane
      @WonkoTSane 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@woodwaker1 I had a couple of them kicking around and had not thought about using one. I am still trying to figure out a spot to mount it at the back corner and run wires out the same spot that the filament sensor wires run.

    That seems like a nice solution to get rid of the stand in front of your printer.

    I agree that the organic supports just seem easier to remove and generally less of a pain than grid. I use them anywhere I can get away with it now, even if Grid is more optimal or whatever

    I was actually thinking of designing a very similar amount for my Logitech camera, but starting with this, it’s going to be a lot easier :-). Thank you.

    Be nice to have a mount that anchors the same spot but just up to the top of the extrusion so that you don’t have a camera getting in the way at the front.

    • @tada3dprinting
      @tada3dprinting  5 месяцев назад

      Yeah that's true. The angle would be more intense but it should still show plenty. Thanks!

    I don't record for my channel, just want something to monitor the prints. Going to try a small self contained ESP32 with a built in camera. Not expecting high quality, but they are 2 for $17

    Maybe you can just swap the camara stands between the models so it fits in the holder properly?
