watching this is like when one guy broke the 4 minute mile record and then other people started doing it too. "it's... it's actually possible after all..."
Ha ha thank you. I didn't know the story of Ernst and Paganini until you mentioned it😅. It's really fascinating, you gave me a video idea. So thank you 🙏🙏
is this (and his version of beethoven symphony) as hard as paganini's caprices? ernst etudes? locatelli? i with to have a comparison example to know how god you are :(
Hmm, for Highway Star it's actually not that bad, it's about the level of Paganini Caprice 15 -16 or the Erlkonig. The Beethoven 5th is very hard, because of the harmonics, big stretches for the chords and a lot of usage of the thumb on G string. It very tiring to play and uncomfortable. As for myself, I am just a very determined violinist😅
hehe, "not that bad" being as hard as Erlkonig is actually very very very impossible already for mere mortals 😆oh, i see kim's Eine Kleine version is the hardest of all, right? it's even almost in the top of a top-100 hardest violin pieces i saw somewhere here, losing only for some out-of-this-world comtemporary pieces@@SanTheViolinDude
@@ElsweyrDiego I think his Bach Air is a lot harder, not to mention I Brindisi. Between Beethoven 5th and Mozart I would say both very difficult for different reasons
thanks for the replies. i'm an intermediate violinist. for me every thing he does is already more than impossible, but i love to know more about technique and difficulty level of all things violin@@SanTheViolinDude
@@ElsweyrDiego no problem at all, I'll post more interesting videos on technique and how to practice in the future. Just keep practicing consistently and you'll be surprised by what you can achieve
