This guy practices 40 hours a day. Amazing job. Seriously though how many hours a day were you working on this? When I learned Eine Kleine Nachtmusik I worked on it for about 4 months at 2-3 hours a day on average, though it never got as clean as this. Love showing people that Roman's stuff isn't actually impossible. One of these days all the prodigy kids will be learning this stuff as regularly as they learn Erlkoenig. Does your hand hurt?
Thank you. Haha, in terms of practicing, I have a full time job teaching about 40 hours a week. So I only have time to practice during my lunch break, so I get about 1 hour a day to practice. But I do practice techniques with my students during the lesson so that helps 😅
This is beyond impressive. Roman Kim uses a fretted fingerboard, which locks in his intonation, and you’re achieving 95% of the same accuracy without one. I’m not sure it’s possible to play it any better without a fretted fingerboard.
Thank you for the compliment, but I did take a lot of shortcuts and cheats to be able to play through the whole thing. Although I don't know how excatly the fretted fingerboard works, unlike guitars his frets are grooved inward, so I think the frets are more of a guide than pitch specific. And if I can play somewhat in tune, I am sure Roman Kim can do the whole thing on a regular violin much much better. but thank you for the kind words though 😀
His frets aren't grooved inward. They're big old bumps that say exactly where to put the fingers and stop the string crisply without the wiggly room of fleshy fingers. No shade on Roman Kim, but more kudos to you! @@SanTheViolinDude
@Adrian_AdamViolonDiGerma-tm3nq That's right, they're cut-outs instead of bumps, so they don't lock in the notes like a guitar nor interfere with glissandos or micro-tones, Roman Kim's frets are just one of his crazy experiments on his instrument to get more precise sound in big halls, I'm sure he can totally play this in a regular instrument, he has played almost his entre life in regular instruments
@@SanTheViolinDude I just showed your video to my violin teacher who’s older and never used RUclips before. She thought you faked this with a computer. “That not possible it’s orchestra” she exclaimed three times ☺️

easy, download the score for this and play as many of the notes from as many of the instruments as possible. Or just combine them all into the treble cleff and have at it.
If Roman Kim were the next Paganini, You would probably be the next Ernst.
WHAT A LEGEND!!!!!
I wish ha ha. Still have a lot to work on, but thank you

In my opinion, the frets on Roman Kim's violin look like they are made from trimmings/carvings on the fingerboard itself

Would you ever perform this live once you get it down almost perfect?
Ya, I'm down for it ha ha. Probably will mess up, but it's part of the process of improving
Damn, that was impressive.
Now that I’m thinking about it, how did Roman Kim play it so fast?
I know, it's insane how fast he can play the chords. I'm trying my best to break the sub 8 minute mark, one of these days hopefully 😂
If you can play it slowly, you can play it quickly. © 😂
Keep on the best brother ❤️
Are you putting this on Spotify?
I don't know how lol
How do you get the score?
Or you just play by ear?
Yes I learned by ear, I basically watched his video at 0.5X speed. and learned 10 sec at a time
