How do you get Spencer Charnas and NOT let him do some screams? His cleans are great, but no screams from him is a missed opportunity. I think he could've done the final verses screams much better.

I disagree. I enjoy Spencer’s cleans way better than his harsh vocals. Him and Craig’s different ranges balancing each other out was genius.

nah every band only does 1 featuring or two.... reason why spencer, dave and craig are in it is due to the fact that these guys were part of OGs metalcore back in the days... they are pioneers of metalcore

It seems when Spencer does guest vocals it's usually cleans. Think he saves the screams for INK and lets the guest appearances be a way to do more melodic singing.... I could be 100% wrong, but that's what it seems like.

Dave Escamilla's work in this song was outstanding, doing high pitched vocals and the lowest screams ever. It really was something else.
This voice remake wasnt bad at all but it really lacks that... "oomph" that the original had.

I’m confused on the fact that they left in some of David’s growls during the beginning and the second verse. I’m also conflicted on the fact that Spencer didn’t do uncleans at all. Andy and David were such a great vocal match together, I don’t think anything could top that IMO. I’m not saying this is bad, it just doesn’t hit the same.
I agree 100% it didn't feel as twisted as the original, which was one of my favorite aspects of the johnny trio songs how evil it sounded it just doesn't hit the same
I noticed they left Dave’s growls in it as well. For a second I got excited but alas, nothing. This version may grow on me but I still prefer the original.

I feel like this was going to be a powerhouse re-release and am a little let down, you have Spencer who can deliver some absolutely brutal screams and you use him for just cleans. But overall, I love the song, but maybe I’m letting nostalgia cloud my judgement

People complain too much... They didn't have to do this version at all, but it's obviously a tribute to the album for the 10th year anniversary. No it's not the original, but that's the point. It's not like they erased the original and replaced it with this. Take it for what it is, an awesome Collab with some great vocalists!! Also just because someone can scream well (Spencer) doesn't mean they always have to. Anyways, great job on the new version guys!!
Just got back home a little bit ago from your LIVE show in Reading, PA! Haven't seen ya'll since The Break Down The Walls Tour in 2012 in Pittsburgh and ya'll are just as good if not better live than I remember! Took 2 friends to their first concert tonight and they loved it! Thank you for a good night and for countless years of savage music!
Crown the empire has been my favorite band since 2015 and this is one of my absolute favorite songs from them, but i feel like it was a bit of a missed opportunity having Spencer one of the best screamers in metalcore at the moment (in my opinion) and just letting him on cleans. The song overall is an absolute banger just wish the screaming was handled differently

Am I the only one feeling like Spencer could have FUCKING MURDERED this song all by himself? Obviously, no hate towards Craig or Dave, but like Spencer was highly underutilized here. His screams would've honored Dave Escamilla better.

Not hating, but calling this a “reimagined” version is pushing it. This is phoned in vocals by Spencer, Dave and Craig dubbed over the exact original. And weird play Andy isn’t even on this one at all or am I missing it? Idk there coulda been a lot done with this. Not bad by any stretch, but it’s just a miss for me 🤷♂️
Edit: All the new Ice Nine kills fans commenting here, check out thir stuff before the silver scream albums you’re in for a treat. They’ve been at it a long time way before Spencer was a household name in the community.

It's not re-imagined, it's just stacked with features LOL. Re-mastered as well but essentially the same song haha

It coulda been a really cool song to just say fuck it and do something wild…like you said a deathcore-ish type sound or even the polar opposite and go like a string/acoustic type arrangement.
