I have no use for Starlink, but I agree these RV’s must absolutely charge the coach batteries while one drives the motor home. I’m stunned if these units don’t already do what.
LTV confirmed during a livestream for the new ‘25 Unity that they do in fact charge the coach batteries via a DC-to-DC charger while driving. So, pretty sure this isn’t an issue.
The green is quite fetching. Congrats on the 3rd generation participation in the videos. Dean, even if you are planning on cutting back/retiring, do not stop making the promos. @@kday9438 There is no best. Leisure Travel is an Innovator and I do think they are the best. They all have weirdnesses at some point. Loving Deans partner, he has great energy just like you Dean. His explanation of the new solar and battery changes was explained great. I love your product and the green color would be a great addition for our beautiful green country.
Well done Leisure Travel Van. I was posting many time you should upgrade the electrical system. Now that’s a very good option with 540ah 3000w inverter with mppt controller. I recently acquired a Bluetti 200L 2400w inverter 2048 wh with 420w portable panel, i could even use it to recharge the internal battery by plugging the 30a plug to prolong the power, or get sun when the RV panel are in the shade with the portable panel and my 50 ft cable…the top..
Watching your videos have become an annual tradition of mine. Can’t buy it right now because of all sorts of reasons, but I will get one for my family eventually. Can’t wait to see their happy faces when taking them out on trips! Please keep it going, love your vans and Dean!
I still can't comprehend WHY these Van's ans Motorhomes don't have MORE POWER for overlanding. No one wants to stay in CAMPGROUNDS anymore, especially people with the smaller VANS. The Batteries should be charged by the Van's MOTOR when it goes low, just like the Winnebago Pure Volta Systems.
You can install a charger connected to a dual alternator by a third party installers. It would be limited to 2 hours on idle and unlimited during driving. Personally i would also put my bluetti ac200L with my 420 portable solar panels and 50 ft cable to get sun even on a shaded location. It allows to plug the van into the 30A (but install a loop end plug into one of the ac plug or it won’t work). There is also a d40 module with a 48v connector that allow the ac200L to charge the battery of the van. I would not opt for the generator which is optional only for the Unity but mandatory for the wonder. But LTV have made the right move that i requested to them many times.
@@billc6283 you should not use the single alternator to charge your big lithium battery pack. So you need a dual alternator like Nations 280ah with a regulator like the ws500. Not all rv are equipped with that, in fact few. Also in idle you can use the second alternator to charge but at reduced intensity and only on limited 1 or 2h. People are using their generator to charge their battery even on the road. But at campsite these are too noisy and often forbidden. The dual alternator is a good compromise, coupled with a large solar array, it can recharge enough for driving trip and short off road trip. The best is to combine with a large battery giving you ample reserve like 640ah or 990ah with 750-1000w solar on the roof, 420w on portable external panel plus the second alternator and then the campground grid to fully recharge if it is not enough.
Agree, lack of an induction cooktop option with the big lithium battery bank makes no sense at all. It should be automatic - order the bigger battery, you automatically get two-burner induction cooktop in the galley. I won’t do Starlink for reasons, but I would love a good cell booster instead of a WiFi extender.
Questions that I have that I'm too lazy to research: How long can you reasonably operate the AC on dual batteries and how long would the generator take to charge them back up.
Please add more plugs in the kitchen (tower of power would help) and bedroom areas (some of us have health issues that require more plug ins). Double Lithium batteries and lose the generators. Square sinks. Microwaves that have Airfryer feature too. Get rid of the propane and add in induction cooking. Add in somewhere for a cat litter box, that could double as storage or dog bed area for those without cats. Otherwise absolutely love, love, love the Leisure Travel Vans.
We’ve been watching these for yearsssss, just keep getting better and better. Love it! We’re a long way from retirement but when we’re ready, these will be able to drive themselves 😂
Love the Upgrades. Especially the power lounge Chairs. Possible to make the side arms for the loungers hydraulic as well. Making your "Your Daybed" Much longer. Side arms are a space hog. They do not seem to be structural unless you are dining. FANTASTIC RV!
Any plans to update the front curtains? They are a real hassle to hang, they don't keep out heat & don't look great. I am really liking the new window covers by Winnebago with insulation & magnets. They go up so fast. Please consider!
Awesome! I like them all. My favorite is the Unity Corner Bed. Only problem is that it has two wasted spaces on both sides of the dinnet. I would recommend a slide out cabinet for added storage for food or books or a pull out system that has a TV or a nice coffee/tea station.
I think the generator was already optional on the Unity but not on the Wonder, but i am not certain. Need to check. 3 minutes later… Yes in the unity the generator is optional. I have also a 2400w/2048 solar generator bluetti. I also would not ick the generator propane to get back 200 lbs of cargo capacity.
Great updates, lounge seats and electrical. Would love the rear Lounge but with front lounge seat/table (those small seats are dealbreaker on the RL). PS. 270 or 540 A/h Lithium is great, even running the A/C. But why not skip the propane and offer induction cooktop, as well as heat pump, or heater from diesel tank. And go without generator. PS. Also, how much charge do you get from the alternator while under engine ?
We had a 2016 Unity Murphy Bed with Leisure Lounge Plus and a propane generator. It was a great RV; we loved it, but in December 2016 we rescued a dog from a shelter and he grew into a big dog, so in 2017 we traded our Unity for a 2018 Tiffin Allegro RED class A diesel pusher. It’s a very comfortable coach, with four slides, a residential refrigerator and a washer and dryer dryer. It’s also a very complex coach, and we are always on the lookout for something breaking. We are ready to move onto something simpler, and are interested in the Grech Strada Ion, a class B with a Lithionics battery with 1,260 Amp Hours, which will run the motorhome AC for up to 12 hours. A 280 amp high output auxiliary alternator and a 300 watt solar system recharge the batteries. I wish Leisure Travel Vans would build a competitive class B. We would surely be interested if they did.
How can you charge the batteries? Only with the generator or to a shoreline? It would be nice if the actually engine could charge the batteries like the Pure Volta System kicks in when It gets to 20% and has the engine auto charge it and turn off once the batteries are full.
You should have a California version with 1800 watts of solar DC powered air conditioning with the ability to run the ac from the motors alternator while driving because it gets hot. Wished the chassis air conditioning was also run by the alternator and not belt driven so on hot days you could literally run both house and cab air conditioner parked or driving to help keep cool.
I love this video. I love when it gets right to the point some of the other videos they start with the exterior and by the time they get into the interior I’m already bored and change the channel. Thank you. This is a super Duper video.
The dinette that can be two twins or a large bed on the corner bed floor plan is brilliant!! Is the battery compartment that is outside, is there a heater down there lithium freezes if they get too cold.
I love your designs. Could I be an ambassador or would you sponsor travel, cooking show? Seriously a veteran on the road working and cooking in different towns.
I have a 23 Entegra 26M that I am very happy with but I will be ordering a LTV Unity MB in 2 years before we get ready to retire. The LTV is almost perfect for what we are looking to do. The only thing I would change is to get rid of the WiFi extender and add Starlink support as others have said. I would also like to see push button handles on the doors and drawers like boats use so they lock while traveling. Honestly I can't think of anything else that I would change.
LTV playing catch up with Energy package. Good job. But a B+, small C needs a minimum of 10,000 watts, plus lower draw appliances, especially air conditioning. Many new buyers will not want old-time generator or propane, or relying on shore power. It is transition time for RV B+. And that means self-sufficiency power. More Lithium and less draw. It appears most B+ are a few more years away from it, but many campervans have been fully pursuing it . For example, Winnebago Travato Volta . It has been a top priority for most small business campervans.
my advice to put at least 10 kv of battery litium ion and tons of solar on the roof plus a 200 amps alternetor and 5000-7000 w invertor to compete with other vans. They look good but the problem is this van you will use to much the generator wich you will use a lot of diesel...that mean you cannot stay weeks in the middle of noware...you always need to find a gas station to fill the tank mostly for generator.

On the screenshot cover of this video, on which you show a front shot of two of your vans side by side, why does the Ford look like it is half the size of the Mercedes?
It looks like the lithium battery bank and 3kW inverter in the 2025 Wonder RTB are eating up space in the rear storage that I would need for two bicycles. Can one still get a couple of normal-sized bicycles in there? I wouldn’t even consider this unit without proper off-grid capability that you’ve now added, but I can’t give up the ability to safely and conveniently carry a couple of bikes inside the rig.
Great to see the evolution in the systems. Great to have all electrical on the inverter and the possibility to get 540 amp hours of Lithium. Wondering whether you can plug into a 15 amp 110 volt regular house outlet and extend the battery amp hours for overnight stays in friends driveways while using the AC all night.
are your tank drain pipes still exposed to ambient air? that will freeze right away. they need to be tucked into a compartment with just the cap exposed, like my 20 year old airstream, sheeesh.
You didn't show where the TV is in relation to recliner chairs. You also don't mention if there is a slide-out that is giving you the room to open the recliners
Great video! On the Wonder RL, what is the exterior storage amount spec with the new drivers side bin? Per the website, the '24 is 421 L. I'm hoping the new bin increases that number. Green is pretty though I'm more of a Hunter Green girl.
questions: with the new 2025 fx, will the bed come down with the slide out in the in position? with lithium package (double capacity) still comes with a generator? is there an additional alternator under the hood to charge the lithium batteries? thanks
With the inverter and the batteries in the same space tightly packed, is there any mitigation for heat from the inverter not having the systems getting to hot and working outside their optimum efficiency range or even shut down because of overheating?
I always have so many questions regarding use of the solar/battery/electrical systems because although a number is assigned to them, it doesn't really give enough information IMO. Like, 400watt solar can charge the batteries in 6-8 hrs? What if you need power in those 6.8 hrs for the a/c, will the solar just power the a/c and not charge the batteries at all? Also, what if you need to run off of battery for the entire night and into the morning? ie: Get to the camper at 5pm, watch movies, play games, cook a small meal for one, shower, use the restroom, use the vent in the restroom all while leaving the a/c and lights on...how long would the batteries hold up for that? I have seen some vanlifer's get something insane like 1,000watt solar because they say they don't want to ever have to worry about being remote to the point where no gas or no shore power would be available, but they would still get electricity from the sun to power their van and charge their batteries....but here with the Wonder and Unity, they only offer 200w and an upgrade to 400w. Are users expected to know that the batteries only last 3hours (or something really low) on a full charge and they will have to run the engine or plug in to shore power until the batteries are charged again or can you actually get something like 24 hours or 72 hours out of the batteries while running a/c, lights, cooking, movie watching, gaming, etc? I understand that the use case would vary, but given the equipment that comes with it, no one has tested this to see?
Can you paint the exterior custom colors. ? Personally, I don't like the 2 tone. Also how about adding a couple more interior color options, such as a light grey for cabinets and flooring.🎉😢
The Unity is built on the Mercedes Sprinter Chassis leisurevans.com/unity/chassis/ and the Wonder is built on the Ford Transit Chassis leisurevans.com/wonder/chassis/
These are great changes esp. for FX - surprised there isn't an induction (or perhaps half induction) cooktop option now (or is that still in the works)
Now get rid of WiFi and add Starlink and a induction cook top and a second alternator under the hood to charge the batteries while you drive.
I'm selling my starlink. Its not worth the monthly fee's of $198 for mobile when you can use your phone as a router for much cheaper.
I have no use for Starlink, but I agree these RV’s must absolutely charge the coach batteries while one drives the motor home. I’m stunned if these units don’t already do what.

With the inverter and the batteries in the same space tightly packed, is there any mitigation for heat from the inverter not having the systems getting to hot and working outside their optimum efficiency range or even shut down because of overheating?
We would love to have a leisure Travel Van. We have the great grandfather of Leisure. We have a 1978 Wickes Empress class C.
Alternator charging???
He's a nice young man but he's no Dean :) The Hunter Green .... YESSSS
When can we get one, 2029?
I would like it for 2025 to have an option for a washer and dryer.... is that possible?
Love the green.
I really could use one of these for winter please don't want to die outside!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do the Leisure Lounge Chairs extend full out into a Bed, by chance? ❤
Can you paint the exterior custom colors. ?
Personally, I don't like the 2 tone.
Also how about adding a couple more interior color options, such as a light grey for cabinets and flooring.🎉😢
5:26 I can’t put my husband in one of those storage shed and hide him for a long time. Haha 🤣 hahaha 😝
Is it converted from benz E-van ? How long it can drive on single charge and is it reev ?
The Unity is built on the Mercedes Sprinter Chassis leisurevans.com/unity/chassis/ and the Wonder is built on the Ford Transit Chassis leisurevans.com/wonder/chassis/
Is there a way a solar panel can be connected on top to help charge from a clean source of light other than generator
Yes! We have a 200 or 400 Watt Rigid Low Profile Solar Panels option - available on both Unity and Wonder leisurevans.com/build/
These are great changes esp. for FX - surprised there isn't an induction (or perhaps half induction) cooktop option now (or is that still in the works)
