I have owned two Airstream travel trailers. I own a Leisure Travel Van Murphy bed currently. From my experience the build quality on the Leisure Travel Vans is hands down far superior to Airstreams. The difference in cost should convince anyone to go with the Leisure Travel Vans!!!
These side storage bay doors don't open all the way up - its just waiting to bash you in the head (even the wet bay). Nice that they lock with the vehicle though.
The only way to get a nicer van than this is with a custom upfitter and that would be far more costly than this, and you'd be limited to a standard van chassis. Also, no one is paying anywhere near MSRP for one of these.
@@dlg5485 ready set van, noovo, just to name a couple custom builders that built to your exact wants and needs at half the price! Or, unity builds these for 100k cheaper with amazing built to order quality. Airstream makes a great timeless product but in this case, they are abusing the name a little to much!
So they delete the generator if you get the power package? What if you don’t have enough solar? Can you run the fridge and A/C? Will our pets die? Why can’t we order it with both? Why always Mercedes chassis’s on these small B+’s? Expensive to service, expensive to repair, and low CCC. I’d rather have a Ford or Ram.
You Sir hit the nail on the head. IF you want to avoid the German expense, pick up a Leisure Travel Van but don't get the UNITY, get the WONDER because that one has a FORD engine and chassis and of course, is much cheaper ... well, lets not say much ...let me change that to, a little cheaper.
As an avid outdoor enthusiast, I can't express enough how Asmoke has revolutionized my grilling experience during my outings. I used to struggle with traditional grills, but with Asmoke, I have precise temperature control, a wide variety of cooking options, and the unique smoky flavor that comes from wood pellets. The convenience of having a digital controller is simply unparalleled. Plus, the portability of this grill is a game changer - it's perfect for RV trips, tailgating, and even backyard picnics. The battery life is fantastic, easily lasting through an entire day of grilling, and the option to charge while using it is a lifesaver. It's not just a grill, it's an essential part of my outdoor adventures now. #Asmoke
I saw a used example of one of these and it really blew me away; especially the bathroom, as I hate wet baths. BUT, Airstream really needs to redesign the latching mechanism for the outside storage, since it's a huge box right in the middle of the opening.
I keep reading in forums how the quality has gone down tremendously. There is no way I would pay their price for something that will end up being a very expensive repair demon.
More inportantly ...where do you place your pressure cooker to use it ... on the floor? ... because there is NO kitchen space to prepare a meal in that unit....you either prepare on top of the stove, or you prepare on top of the kitchen sink, I prefer to NOT have them shut down while making supper.
I loved the layout of this RV and some of the luxury items however nobody uses generators anymore it's not set up for solar and from what I understand you have to use AGM batteries you cannot upgrade to lithium comama the other countries like Canada that build leisure travel bands already have the star link generated in and the huge inverter that automatically switches on its own and all of the upgrades that people are now putting into their own vans, so I would buy this van if you would get rid of the propane and the generator and some of the old school stuff
Made by Thor Industries. No thanks. I will say that it's nice that the curtains open electrically. But if I have to raise and lower the sun visor manually, I'll pass.
@@Porsche996driver They simply pay Mercedes-Benz for the star. No big deal. Notice that there's also one in the front of the vehicle? They, like some others, do get certified by MB as an upfitter.
No washer and dryer? Drag out the bed have to make it every night ? It sleeps up to two? For that kind of money I would more. Make the bathroom smaller have bed back there. Nooooo
He showed the cockpit. Living room area with bed up and down. The kitchen including all drawers and appliances, control center, bathroom including stepping into the shower. And yes all the storage areas inside and outside. The only thing he didn’t show was the engine. This is an over priced Thor product but the guy did fine showing it.
A mobile Starlink is going to cost you at least $198 Canadian and more depending on options. I am selling mine. Its a great system but no worth the money in my opinion.
Why have bigger grey and black tanks with only 20 gallons of fresh? All Airstreams are totally OVERPRICED. You can get a class A coach for the price of an Atlas. Then add on all of the stuff you don't need that the dealer try to force on you. TOTAL RIPOFF. They say everything is standard like they're giving you something for free. All standard means is we put everything in it already and you're paying for it. Never trust any salespeople they always sell you shyt you don't need to bump up their commissions. Real grimy bunch.

Those side storage bay doors should open to the side not to the top. It just makes it a hassle to get things cuz you have to crouch.
I agree. That is actually a deal breaker for me on something like this. A) I'm not 18 anymore B) my back is bad. So, very good point.
Also, once that gas spring fails, have fun replacing it with the cover resting on your head. lol #pantograph hinge

Awesome way to see the country. 😊
“Cleaned seamed” means it will make it’s own cracks. Ask me how I know.
It’s called checks and services.
Thats awesome but for 300k’ish…. Ur smoking crack!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Short money

These comments are brutal. Maybe the builders should read them before the next build!
Basically Airstream copied Leisure Travel Vans. LTV's have been around for several years now and this is almost exactly the same.
Love the layout.
I did not hear the price. How much?
300,000 and some more.

Motor home engine has a aftermarket Generator

Quality of what?!
Don’t confuse a self-contained MB RV with a 30’ trailer pulled by a dually.
Bcz of mercedes brand everything repairment service are going to expensive
I can't believe the price of this thing and you don't have enough room to place a pressure cooker to make supper....absolutely no kitchen space.
Happy 4th of July 2024 🇺🇸
Thor is not warranty they stand for check Liz RV amaizing
Liz Amazing had a video on this model, I believe.
How do you eat I didn't see any table

Great vid 😊
What's the MSRP?
Maybe I missed it but Where's the bed?
It's a fold a way.
Simply ahhmazing. Thank you for sharing.
Impresionante .cual es el precio ?
How much is this?
Nope, sorry not impressed. To much lux and not enough practical comfort and ease. No!
good for usa but in canada you can not live in in winter because the truck cab is open so it will froze
PROPANE GENERATOR, old school junk, what a sad RV, clicked out, E1 or nothing for that kind of money.
😂😂😂😂 like you know what your talking about! 😂😂😂😂😂
Most beautiful mini giant motor home. I would so buy this. Very comfortable.
Over a Leisure Travel Van? ... really?
A slide is a del breaker
Top tier it would of been nice to have the option of getting 4cyl engine or 6cyl
Mercedes no longer makes the Sprinter with 6 cyl. 4 cyl is more powerful.
What's the OCCC??
New sub here🙋🙋🙋
Most looking to spend 300k on a motor home are retirees over 60 all that bending over to access the storage is going be an issue
Waiting for the full electric/Tesla version
LTV does the same fairing between the cab and body, Atlas not unique
20 gallons of fresh water? Also, crazy high price for old technology.
FOCUS!!!!

for 300,000 it better come with bedding !!
Cardboard mattresses. They’re so bad they’re the first thing replaced.

Thor Industries has owned Airstream for over 40 years.
Most have learned the hard way about Thor products.
Man, I remember our Airstream trailer from my childhood! Awesome times!
They’ve been doing it for many decades while others left. To get Benz approval keeping the star also shows the Germans approve of the engineering.

Poor information, my 2020 Winnebago has the Mercedes Star as you call it. Maybe a Mercedes Insignia Logo?
Prefer if the bathroom area was smaller and the kitchen area bigger.
I'd put a curtain up to separate the cab from the rest of the camper. I like privacy
I want a bed to be a bed, no Murphy bed.
Then this is clearly not for you.
@@tenore8 nope. Not that that price.
Show the toilet seat. Is it plastic or is it wood.
Have a women do
the description.
more thorough.
Very Nice..
Never mentioned the price!LOL.
So nothing different from 2024?
Only $325k.:)
I'm so embarrassed for Airstream
Ridiculous comment.
So they've basically copied the LTV layout inside.
All this for only 2 people 😅
Bring them to Australia
Yeah... for corruptor supporter 🤣🤣
If it has wheels, it's not a home 😂
At $315,000+ for a class B. This is the Newell class A RV going for $2.5-8 million USD. Both over hyped & overpriced. I guess, to each his own.
The Mercedes Benz emblem is not a star, it’s a propeller.
Way too expensive. The outside access is not comparable to reach under each panel, look at the European rvs please …
No thanks
Over priced!
Buy something used.
No dinette, no fixed bed. Horribly overpriced.
Mercedes… deal breaker…
Dang. Bunch of pissy peoples here. LOL.
Not enough space around the toilet!
Poor attempt at replicating a Leisure Travel Vans and whoever came up with the price has nothing between the ears but an airstream!
Which are the same J U N K , mercedes ruinned everything

Thor.
No thanks.
Thor really tried to ruin my life in a very expensive way.
Tiny overhere tiny over there ! overpriced, N O P E ,
Apply american cargo car brand, i'll buy it , bcz its large and has space
A $300K van 😂
I don't like that tiny kitchen.
All he shows us is the storage areas ! Not impressed with this video. Thumbs down .

That kitchen is a joke.
worst layout in the history of airstream!
Insanely overpriced.
Ridiculous
I love this RV plan but has only 2 or 3 persons bed. I have a better idea making Murphy bed two story. Then 4 or 5 people could sleep in the RV.
