Thank you. This helped more than watching the videos. I'm single, a big girl. I want a fixed and already made bed and a workstation. The Unity Corner Bed will work best for me. Thanks so much in helping me make my decision. I have been back and forth watching and re-watching the Leisure videos like I'm binge watching a series over and over.
The other benefit of the 39" TV is you can hook up your laptop and use it as a big computer monitor! I like the UMB because of the TV and big bed and you can use the same space for eating & watching tv at the same time.
I'm still after the Wonder RTB. The storage space is a must for bicycles and smaller kayaks. No more bikes getting stolen. Generator and portable washing machine storage. I tested that space on an older model and it all fits with room to spare. I'm waiting for the new 2022 debut.. I wasn't happy with the flex panels on the 2021. They said they changed that on all models. So far it's seems to be true.
We removed the door from the bathroom on our 2017 FX. Covered up the wall space where the door hung with peel and stick tile sheets and it looks just fine. We added a tension rod and curtain panel between the rear living area and the front area opening up the back to a full size bath larger than the MB and access to all the overhead storage where we keep our clothes. Very easy solution.
I've really been interested in the Unity IB and have been researching it a lot. I like the idea you can swap out to a large lithium battery and have 400 watts of solar charging but the propane tank and water tank is really small. It would be nice if you could swap them out to higher capacity tanks.
We are waiting for our 2022 Unity MB. One of the differences between the FX and the MB that you didn't mention was that the MB kitchen is more accessible when the bed is down. I considered that important because I like to heat up my water for coffee or hot tea while my husband is still asleep. Since I've never actually seen an FX, this may or may not be the case. Thank you for the great video!
That’s true for sure. You can still use the kitchen as the bed comes up close, but you could still stand at the stove. And the sink is totally free from the bed. Thanks for watching!
It's tight, but you can shimmy through. There is actually a hinged cover that covers the step well on the MB so you don't fall in the footwell when bed is down. The FX is even tighter, but no foot well cover for some reason.
This business used to be called Triple E and I owned one named Empress. Loved the double Windows. I have been looking at those floor plans and my favorite is the corner bed, with the U dinette!
My choice was the RL due to the massive window in the back but having seen your video I think the twin is my best option. I have a large electric skateboard i want to use to get around if I wanna leave the home parked somewhere and I just couldn’t think of where to store it on the RL. Plus I think with a bit of finagling I can get a bike along with the skateboard to fit in the pass thru exterior storage space. Good video. Thanks.
Thank you very much for sharing this wonderful video. I am now seriously thinking about what style and layout of leisure van is desired for my family size to have and grow into while traveling as well as what my size and lifestyle uses and needs the most.
My understanding of the MB is that you can't lower the bed with the slide retracted because it'll hit the cabinet. You have to extend the slide, drop the bed, and then retract the slide. Why would you? To pull over for naps while enroute without being super-obvious about it or whacking the slide into another vehicle, of course! Makes it tricky to get to the bathroom from the cab but that still HAS to be better than using most highway rest areas. My preferred solution: Get the CB because you can access the entire rig and use every feature with the slide retracted.
If I were to get the MB, I would get the Leisure Lounge that is a couch, not the Leisure Lounge + that is the two recliners. that way you don't need to pull out the bed for naps.
Such a great video, best travel van comparison video in my opinion, 👍👍The MB wins for me purely because im single and it works best for me!Will be buying one next year If all goes well!
“WHEN I first looked at it” pet peeve… you said “whenever.” That says you looked at it a LOT. Wrong word. Lol. Oh yeah, thanks for that overview. I want the RL because I am single and want that back ROOM as an office.
This was really helpful. I really liked the RL and Twin Bed but as a bigger guy I'm having second thoughts because of your comments about claustrophobia in the front cabin. And being in Iowa, we don't have any easy access to see one in person or a way to get service down the road. Did you ever consider the Winnebago Navion / View 24D (or something similar)? Because of the marketing, I position LTV higher in terms of brand quality, but that's also from the perspective of someone who has never owned an RV previously.
I have walked in a Navion and a Tiffin Wayfarer. I can’t describe it, but LTV is different level. If you only walked in a Navion, then you would be fine. But LTV has little touches of ingenuity and quality that makes me recommend LTV all day.

The best comparative video I have seen. Thank you for addressing the floor space. We have 2 standard Poodles and their floor space whether parked or traveling is very important to us. Especially the hassle of carrying them out in the middle of the night. We have noticed that ya'll have 2 dogs. I am wondering if the Wonder Front twin bed may offer them th most space, openness and easiest for all of us to camp and travel in??? Your thoughts would be appreciated. We are in our seventies and this will be our 23rd RV. We would really like to go with something the size of a LTV. Thank you for your opinions and help !
The most open floorplan is the Unity FX. The Wonder Front Twin would also be pretty open, but the FX is by far the most living space uninterrupted. The only drawback of the FX is the Murphy bed you have to take down and put up.
Thank you for comparing the floorplans. I'm a tall person too, so I appreciate your feelings about the beds. One thing I am curious about is the toilet placement. They all look seem to have very little elbow room and legroom in front of them. Since I'm thinking about the corner bed layout and the bathroom is the same as your FX, any thoughts about the bathroom layout around the toilet?
The lithium option that LTV offers won’t last very long, only 200 amp hours. You can get a 315ah Lithionics, which I have which gives you a bit more. If you will be in RV parks all the time, you may not need a generator, but if you plan on doing any off grid, you will want a gen
They are all actually different and options play a big role. Like if they have a slide and a generator etc. My Unity FX with generator and leveling jacks has a OCCC of 1,502
@@Pagosa thanks, 1500 is actually more than I thought it would be. I looked at a used Airstream Atlas and the CCC was below 800 lbs and that’s before adding myself and 23 gallons of water.
They have discontinued the IB, but I just saw one for sale on the facebook LTV for sale group, I think it was one of the last ones made in 2022. Good luck!
My hope is for a Unity MB. I'm a big fat guy so the shower space is needed if I don't want to bust the door out :) I have 2 questions: the Wonder has AWD (all wheel drive) now but LTV has not gotten the 4x4 Mercedes chassis. Is there a reason for this? And on the Mercedes is there space underneath for a larger fuel tank? I am asking because if you get the diesel generator a few extra gallons would make a difference. Thanks for the video. Loving the channel!
I don't think they have plans for the 4x4 just yet, as it would reduce the weight rating and it's pretty low as it is. I have not heard anyone upgrading the fuel tank, but would be interesting to see that. The generator really sips the diesel, so it's not bad at all.
It’s really comfortable. One person could lounge while the other sits in the L part and use the hidden ottoman for more comfort. A shorter person could sleep on it for sure
Thank you for comparing all the Unity LTV floor plans in one video. You have us rethinking UMB, and now considering the UFX. We plan on attending the Florida Super Show, Jan 2023 in Tampa. Our hope is that we may get the opportunity to see in person these floor plans before we drop +$200K . Again thank you for all you do to keep us informed. Ron & Vicki.
Is a diesel generator louder than propane? Over time would there be any difference in reliably of the two? Do you have to have your diesel tank at a certain fullness level for it to run? Thanks
I’ve never compared the sound between the two, but if you jump on my generator oil change video, I show what it sounds like. The gen will shut off at 25% Diesel tank capacity. I think diesel is a must if you plan on long term and using it a lot. If casual user, save 1/2 the money and get the propane.
for the fx... how big is the back lounge area in feet and inches.... how easy would it be to remove all that seating? i want to make an art studio in that section. Thank you.
would not be easy, there are mechanical items and outside storage under the couch. Prob need to find a different type of RV to do what you are wanting. Like a toy hauler that is blank canvas in the back
@@Pagosa i dont mind doing slight modifications. one because of the stuff i want in the coach... could easily go around stuff or block outside access points. One particular item has far more useful storage than what i saw under the seat. I have a desk and metal drawer storage unit that i be putting in it instead of the seating. i got all the seating i would want in the FX... but that spot in the back is perfect! Why im asking the size of the space. then i can think about what item would go where for the slight mods.. Another questions.... do you NEED by law the 2nd passenger seat? what im looking for is just for me and my pets and art. Im handy enough to create what i need. but you mention mechanical stuff....
The real problem, and an issue common to all Class B and C, is they only have two relatively comfortable seats. Dinette and sidefacing coach or sofa are not “sittable” for long trips. In fact, you can find the same issues with Class A. But things are worse for Class B and C: they may sleep more than two, but only have two sittable chairs; or they give you more chairs, no sleeping room for third person. Are they all meant to be for two people?
I'd love one of these but I'll have to save up for customization. I'd like a rear-lounge, only without the sofas. I'd like to make it a rear office, so a desk with two workstations, mounted monitors and all the electronics and telemetry wired to the back for that 'command center' feel. I'll also need it inverted for 220v AC and I'd like them to ship it to me without plug points. I'll finish the electrics myself as it is intended for European use.
LTV will not do any of that for you, and they only sell in North America. You'd have to arrange shipping yourself, which would cost as much as a compact car. Just build out a custom van yourself or find a local shop to do so.
Why doesn't LTV put induction cooktop in the units rather than a propane stove? I have induction at home and it's wonderful. I bet they will use induction when they introduce the next Mercedes electric vehicle.
I'll never understand why people want the LEAST efficient mode for heating their food, water, and air. Do you intend to always pay for shore power? To never camp outside of an RV park?
The mattress is shorter, but there is a ledge where the pillows go that make the bed basically the same area as a residential mattress. I'm 6'2" and can't tell I'm on a shorter mattress.
All wait times are the same, I would imagine. They have discontinued the Island Bed, but all the others are very popular. Prob RL is most popular at this time
@@Pagosa You know in serenity model, LTV was providing an open window from the rear/back side. You have such a big glass window on the back of LTV and it is not being utilized to provide a clear panaromic view and being blocked by some wooden structure. Any idea ? I hope I am able to explain it accurately this time.
I think determining factor is the bathroom. If you want a large bathroom, then MB. But if you would rather have that couch for more living or work space than a larger bathroom, the FX is the best.
We have a 2022 Unity FX on order and the dealer told us LTV has now made it possible to put the bed down with the slide in. Was he wrong about that? I'll triple check with him, but just curious if you've gotten different info directly from LTV? Thanks!
I can’t imagine that is the case. The reason the MB can and the FX can’t is the counter depth difference in front of the bed. The MB has a small TV cabinet and the FX has the deep kitchen cabinet there. They would have to make significant structural changes and I have not heard that is the case.
Hi. Can you do a video on financing a leisure travel van? I’m not sure if I should buy an extra small home in another state or a travel van. Real estate always appreciates but this will depreciate. But the world is in shambles and happiness is on my mind.
The RV is most certainly an investment in lifestyle and not in finances. If you can afford to tie up the money and have a depreciation, yet be enriched in the experience, then go for it.
My wife get up an hour before i do so the mb would never work for us! Who the hell needs a large bathroom when your camping? Our bathroom in our Travato 59g is a perfect size . I can sleep in and my wife can go up front and enjoy her morning coffee time .
There are several in our FB group who do. You would most certainly have to be a minimalist as there is limited storage. But the comfort level is amazing
You forgot to mention on the Murphy bed that not only do you get the theater seats and the large pop-up TV you also can change it into a dining table. This is one of the reasons we are seriously considering it because it transforms into everything I would want in a trailer. It has a bed a large TV directly across from the theater seats and the seats swivel and there’s a table that folds down from under the Murphy bed which is the wall behind the theater seats. That’s so awesome! And the two seats in the cab swivel around so you can seat for people comfortably.
Agree. However an investment into life and experiences is also a valuable asset. But if the financial commitment is counter to the ability to afford, maybe rent a week or two instead of buy one.

So far so good for us, we love the room
Thanks a really helpful tour.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great job on the video. Thanks for posting.
Thanks!
You have very nice vans
👍
Really great video on my favorite RVs! Gives a really good idea of what works best for who
Great!
I just CANT get into the blond wood…do they have cherrywood? Or mahogany??
They have a dark wood option. Check out my other videos, where you can see our Espresso wood Leisure Travel Van
This is exactly what I needed… thank you!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video! How comfortable is the rear couch in your FX? Can two people comfortable watch a movie? Could a person sleep on it?
It’s really comfortable. One person could lounge while the other sits in the L part and use the hidden ottoman for more comfort. A shorter person could sleep on it for sure
Thank you for comparing all the Unity LTV floor plans in one video. You have us rethinking UMB, and now considering the UFX. We plan on attending the Florida Super Show, Jan 2023 in Tampa. Our hope is that we may get the opportunity to see in person these floor plans before we drop +$200K . Again thank you for all you do to keep us informed.
Ron & Vicki.
glad it helped! The MB is nice, but at the end of the day, we wanted more living space than bathroom, so FX for us!
Excellent and thank you, great video.
thanks!
Why not have an FX Murphy bed WIOTH the corner bed... for a couple with a child or 2..???
Sounds like a winner to me. However, I think there is an issue with seatbelts. You can't have seat belts in a slide from what I understand.
Where do you go to see these or where are they made
You can find the dealer list at leisurevans.com
The fx needs 4x4 and sofa to bed in the back
would love an extra bed in the back for when you don't want to bring the Murphy down.
iLike the rear twin
Thanks for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed the rear twin!
for the fx... how big is the back lounge area in feet and inches.... how easy would it be to remove all that seating? i want to make an art studio in that section.
Thank you.
would not be easy, there are mechanical items and outside storage under the couch. Prob need to find a different type of RV to do what you are wanting. Like a toy hauler that is blank canvas in the back
@@Pagosa what mechanical stuff?
They do design family version with seating a sleeping options. But for ours, it’s def 2 people only, lol
I think there are plenty of European models that would be ever better and cheaper for sure.
@@Pagosa can you name one or two of those superior European brands so that I may look into them?
Hymer is the one that always impresses me. Believe they are out of Germany. www.hymer.com/de/en/home
LTV will not do any of that for you, and they only sell in North America. You'd have to arrange shipping yourself, which would cost as much as a compact car. Just build out a custom van yourself or find a local shop to do so.
@@colormedubious4747 its the bonded fiberglass frame that I'm after and if I have to pay the price of a small car to ship it then so be it.
Why doesn't LTV put induction cooktop in the units rather than a propane stove? I have induction at home and it's wonderful. I bet they will use induction when they introduce the next Mercedes electric vehicle.
Induction would be for an all electric coach that has a large lithium bank. Propane fuels the cook top, water heater and furnace
I'll never understand why people want the LEAST efficient mode for heating their food, water, and air. Do you intend to always pay for shore power? To never camp outside of an RV park?
I noticed the Murphy Bed is shorter than standard Queen. Do you have any problem with it?
The mattress is shorter, but there is a ledge where the pillows go that make the bed basically the same area as a residential mattress. I'm 6'2" and can't tell I'm on a shorter mattress.
Which of the LT vans has the best % resale value and/or demand? Does it take a longer wait time after ordering the MB than other LT units?
All wait times are the same, I would imagine. They have discontinued the Island Bed, but all the others are very popular. Prob RL is most popular at this time
Do you know why LTV is covering the big glass window on back and not providing an open panaromic view when bed is down ?
Not sure I understand you question
@@Pagosa You know in serenity model, LTV was providing an open window from the rear/back side. You have such a big glass window on the back of LTV and it is not being utilized to provide a clear panaromic view and being blocked by some wooden structure. Any idea ? I hope I am able to explain it accurately this time.
@@stockguru290 There is no rear window on any Unity model. That's a fiberglass mask.
Bathroom is good for Mobility issues
MB floor plan for sure best for those with mobility issues for sure
I have heard from several sources that slide outs often begin to leak after a few years. Any experience with that yet in yours?
No, and with proper maintenance, you will be fine. Love having slides.
If you were traveling alone would the MB be your choice or you'd still take the FX?
I think determining factor is the bathroom. If you want a large bathroom, then MB. But if you would rather have that couch for more living or work space than a larger bathroom, the FX is the best.
I'm 6'4" tall and 215 lbs. -- will the top of my head be touching the top of the skylight in the MB shower?
Maybe, I’m 6’2 and it’s close
FX is best catified floorplan, thanks to don't have recliners traps
Good to know!
Great review! First one I have seen that looks at all of the models ... Cheers
Glad you enjoyed it
Really interesting insights
😃
Thank you. Helps a lot.
Glad it helped!
What is your microphone? It’s really good. :)
I use Rode and Audio Technicha, not sure which one I used in this video, but like them both
We have a 2022 Unity FX on order and the dealer told us LTV has now made it possible to put the bed down with the slide in.
On the Island bed, can modifications be made to put two dog crates
I'm not really sure
Very helpful.
Awesome!
I wish they would not have the counter extend over the couch
If you are talking about on the RL, it folds down
Where do you get service?
Chassis service at my local MB dealer and RV house at my dealer or at NIRVC where I store
Can you lease a travel van.
I’m sure you can rent one, but no on lease
Hi. I like your Vlog, but I have difficulty understand you without subtitle. Possible to put subtitle on you Vlog?
I will try!
My wife get up an hour before i do so the mb would never work for us! Who the hell needs a large bathroom when your camping? Our bathroom in our Travato 59g is a perfect size . I can sleep in and my wife can go up front and enjoy her morning coffee time .
Yep, the FX is perfect for that
Do you think anyone could full time in a LTV?
Yes, it's a great floorplan with lots of options.
I’d like to see the CB with a couch in place of the dinette 🤔
Yes, that definitely should be an option
But you can’t stand up straight in this one or the twin, I believe. That is a negative.
Depends on how tall you are
My interest is rear lounge but U spent most MOST of the time. I do not want fold down bed in back at all. I will put washing machine behind driver.🤗

210,000 seriously very rich or very poor financial decisions
Agree. However an investment into life and experiences is also a valuable asset. But if the financial commitment is counter to the ability to afford, maybe rent a week or two instead of buy one.
Just a tip. Point the microphone towards your mouth!
The mic is a side diaphragm mic. It actually is pointed to my mouth.
@@Pagosa That’s so crazy! I’ve never heard of that! Who makes it?
@@michaelpeters8294 Audio-Technica. There are a lot of broadcast mics that are side mounted diaphragms, not sure why. I like the mic, sounds good in my opinion.
@@Pagosa I’m in the video production business and am embarrassed that I didn’t know of the side mounted diaphragm mics. Ya learn something new everyday.
@@Pagosa Inlive your videos and your wealth of RV knowledge!!!! I’m looking at a 2021 Wonder RL or RT. But, I want to rent one first to see if we like it. I’m in Oakton Va and am having a hard time finding one in my hood.
It was helpfull, i don't like one of them!
That’s a bummer
