What is going on is that the movement (Walking, Running, Jumping, Swimming etc.) the game considers us in is "Klaptrap Kong". Normally there is no way to exit Klaptrap Kong movement at all until you beat Beaver Bother. That being said, with this glitch, we use a beaver to push us into a wall to a sufficient amount. Since the surrounding walls are slippery, it forces us into the sliding moving state. After which, we are returned to the Idle movement state and gain back all our traditional abilities including shockwave. That being said, this glitch is by no means easy, and beating Beaver Bother normally is miles easier.
I thought I knew how things were working for this TAS, and then DK pulled the auto production lever and somehow immediately started up the 2nd run of the DK Arcade game and I realized just how naïve I was.
In short, we tricked the Lever into thinking we started pulling it (escaping Gorilla Grab by getting damaged). The lever that the kong has progressed far enough into an animation (to the same point as the end of the Gorilla Grab animation), at which point it will activate the start of the pull into Arcade. We use Tiny's idle animation to trigger this as it is sufficiently long enough. After pulling the lever in power shed, the game starts to play the production room on cutscene, but gets interrupted by the arcade lever finishing the process of pulling you into Arcade. This skips having to watch the production room on cutscene and allows for some clever routing
