The button glitch he does to skip the warp animation into the level can load the wrong time trial times, so he ended with either Dino MIght! or Double Header's relic times and got Gold
This is literally art. I’m in genuine disbelief at how good this is. Warped is by far my favourite game of all time, and I must have spent hundreds of hours playing it as a kid. To watch you dismantle it like this is a combination of total satisfaction and awe.
I come back to this video every now and then. The crunchy audio of the original game just feels right. The N. Sane trilogy remake is faithful and quite possibly the best remake of all time, but the older games just look and sound so nostalgic that I'd prefer playing the originals.
As I Child ive completed the CB Warped. And not gonna lie, this video is something special for me. Seeing that someone cracked the game you love to play is always satysfying. Even if its TAS (which is a programm, but its even harder to make than the regular speedrun) im quite impressed. I want to shake your hand for such an amazing video!

Apparently it was a glitch. The time loaded on that stage was another than the time from that stage. It happen if you rapid switch levels in the select. Also the glitch can even help you if you do that swap with a level who has more time for the platinum.
You know, I often question my self on what could be the greatest game of all time and I honestly think this is it. The level detail and secret levels is off the charts. The in game music level design, every thing is so fucking iconic, I just can’t even begin to fathom the greatness. And great work to say the least on the run wow

Basically if you're moving fast enough and catch the box right, you can outrun the explosion. I don't know how it's done, but you do see it in normal speedruns.

55:03 is the first gold relic (as opposed to platinum) in the run. Granted, there were a few fake platinums from the button glitch, but this is the first one that uses the gold relic sprite and all. ETA: 1:46:26 is the second one!

@The XxPENTAxX No, but it's too hard to do in real time. In normal conditions you simply fall if you try to go to the yellow gem zone, but with a very specific angle and positioning you can manipulate the camera position and the yellow gem zone will work. The trick is too hard that even in a TAS is hard to do. And don't confuse "TAS" with "Hacks", they are completely different things
1:53:07-Crash suddenly finds himself encumbered by the massive balls of steel he had been using to slaughter the game up until that point. Undaunted, he then uses said balls of steel to give Cortex and Uka Uka one final teabagging for the road.
This was an incredible and perfect run! Some things done in this TAS I didn't even knew it was possible, like getting the yellow gem jumping to the left! I've tried it many times, but no success...

That's the best way to get them on the motorcycle levels, since time attacks add a restart button to the pause menu. There's no checkpoints, so if you suck like me and miss a box, you can pause and hit restart.
@@omegalavender yes you can and in most cases it is used for level without bonus rooms. Howeever for Level 9 (24:54) he does bonus room, kills himself to start at beginning and goes into time trail so that he still has the crates from the bonus room and also gets every other artefact.
For levels that don’t have a bonus level you can though the ones that involve backtracking can be troublesome and like the previous comment mentioned which I never knew worked was going through the stage with no checkpoint hitting, get the boxes from the bonus then die so they are saved. Though I feel that it won’t be effective for those levels that have boxes on death routes and one of the relic portals that leads to future frenzy’s hidden route.
I absolutely love it when tas runners sometimes sync their actions with the music or do similar stuff like the tiny fight, so enjoyable to watch! I got a question tho.. Sometimes you pass some boxed but they get destroyed anyways way behind you off camera, why is that?
The explosion takes time to fully expand (but it happens really quickly). If you're really fast at getting away from the box, the explosion doesn't hit you. This can be done most easily by jumping off a nitro like in this video: ruclips.net/video/L6A_HDByGcw/видео.html
